Caught In A Lie

Winter Soldier AU An Alzheimers free Peggy "visits" Steve and blows Sharon's cover causing Natasha realise why Steve is too "busy". - Anonymous

“What about that girl in accounting? She’s cute.” Natasha said as Steve searched for his keys.

“Nat, for the last time, I’m too busy to date… damn, one second.” Steve said before giving up the search and crossing the hall to knock on Kate’s door, the blonde answered her door and smiled.

“Hey Steve,”

“Hey Kate, my phone’s dead, and I locked myself out of my apartment, would you mind calling the-” fortunately he didn’t have to finish his sentence.

“Steve, you left your keys at my place!” Peggy said as she came up the hall, Kate’s eyes widened to the size of dinner plates. and abruptly tried to close her door.

“Thanks, Peg. You just saved me from pissing off the super!” Steve said kissing her cheek. “Nat, can you unlock the door for me, we were going to have dinner if you want to join us.”

“I will if Sharon will,” Peggy said locking eyes with the blonde who was peering through the crack of her door. Slowly, the door opened and the horrified agent stepped out into the hall.

“Aunt Peg!”

“Hello, Darling. Steve I believe that you’re familiar with Sharon.” Peggy said crossing her arms over her chest.

“Sharon your niece?” Steve asked confused and betrayed.

“The very same, why don’t you call Director Fury, Dear and tell him that you’re cover has been blown and Captain Rogers no longer needs to be spied on.”

“… yes Aunt Peggy.” Slowly Sharon crept back inside her apartment and shut the door.

“Fury! I can’t believe it, he has some nerve!” Steve fumed as he and Peggy filed past Natasha and into his apartment.

As they did, Natasha pulled Steve aside.

“So that’s what you meant by ‘busy’, huh?”
