[the video begins with the camera pointing at a hummus packet. almost the entire frame is taken by ‘sabra; spinach & artichoke hummus’ written on the dip’s label.
“sabra gives you all your daily nutrients.” already familiar young male voice sounds from behind the camera.
the boy recording uses one of his hands to tilt the box, and the other one to zoom onto the part of the label that actually interests him. “like zero grams of trans fat.” he reads happily, complimenting. “non-gmo.” he continues, tilting the hummus packet ever so slightly and making sure the 0 mg cholesterol in black font is clearly visible. “and OMGcholesterol!” he says excitedly, sounding like he’s hardly containing the joy at being able to say it out loud.
as the camera shakes a little bit, a barely-there snort escapes the boy before he can be heard taking a deep breath to continue the video without interrupting it himself. the camera moves from the dip’s label and now it’s being directed at a man standing opposite the person filming him.
said man wearing a white dress shirt and what seems to be dark medical scrub pants is standing on the other side of the kitchen bar. he’s leaning against the marble countertop, with a coffee cup held in his right hand. his gaze is drilling holes in whoever holds the phone until finally, he lets out a long, suffering sigh of a human who’s been put through too much, and pinches the bridge of his nose, almost as if trying to block out that entire situation from settling in his brain.
then the man seems to be fighting against rolling his eyes, and gently shaking his head, he speaks up. “you’re going to put me in my grave.” he says, voice deep and tired but it’s unmistakably the same voice as the driver’s from @rlcomedy‘s first tiktok. “eat your toast, please.” the man adds, now in a regular, non-overdramatic voice, while checking the watch on his left wrist.
the camera starts to pan down just as the video ends.]
