Steve
They had decided to stay with the Avengers a little longer.
It was nicing having a pack to rely on.
Steve hadn't realized how much he'd missed his friends.
Bucky had conceded that Hydra would think twice about attacking the full strength of the Avengers.
Bruce helped Bucky with things that didn't come naturally like how modern diapers worked, how the humidifier eased Winnie's breathing, and how to watch for warning signs that Winnie's conditions were worsening.
Natasha was always up for babysitting which allowed the new parents to sneak in a nap or two. She was ecstatic that there was another girl on the team.
Tony had decided to make their house in Queens as secure as the Avengers' Tower. He and Pepper had gotten them more baby things than either Steve or Bucky knew what to do with.
Clint had gotten them the complete collection of old-fashioned WinniethePooh stuffed animals. He'd introduced them to the classic movies that quickly became Bucky's favorites.
Thor hadn't quite figured out that Midguardian babies were delicate, so he'd gotten Winnie Asgardian daggers that Bucky wouldn't let Steve touch.
Steve had noticed Bucky caressing the knives in fascination when he thought no on was looking.
Steve was so grateful to his pack for accepting his mate and their pup.
Bucky wasn't as trusting as Steve, but he'd allow the Avengers to be around Winnie as long as he or Steve were near. Bucky hardly let anyone else hold her until exhaustion had overtaken him, only then would he entrust her to Steve's waiting arms.
Steve loved nothing more than holding his baby girl. "J.A.R.V.I.S., would you put on the soundtrack from Piglet'sBigMovie?"
"Of course, sir."
Steve hummed along to A Mother's Intuition as he rocked Winnie back and forth. "Your daddy and I love you so much!"
Winnie cooed up at him. She was a perfect blend of Bucky and Steve with bronze fuzz atop her head and bright blue eyes that reminded him of when Bucky was little.
"Who's my pretty girl?" Steve kissed her little nose.
Winnie giggled.
And Steve couldn't help but laugh with her.
"Seems like you two are having fun." Buck slipped out from the shadows. At least, he looked better rested.
"She's a happy baby."
"She's the best baby." Bucky tickled her tummy.
Winnie's tiny hand captured Bucky's finger.
"She really is something," Buck whispered.
"Yeah, she really is."
