Thanos took you. The realisation hit him like a ton of bricks, he should have known he won't be forgiven, he should have known he would never be able to escape from the mad titan. Why did he involve you in his messed up life? You don't deserve this, you deserve none of this. You should have been right here in his arms, safe and loved and cherished, giggling and laughing as he drowned you in affection, What Thanos and his people would do to you? What they must have done already ? Are you being tortured right now while he's stuck on earth being useless, all these thoughts made him go insane. What do they want? Why would they take his sweet princess? You're not even an avenger. You're just a normal mortal, it must have something to do with him.
After a very long time, he was angry and he was fuming with rage, you are the only thing in his life holding him together, keeping him sane, he would destroy everything if something happened to you. After his talk with Carla, Eddie asked him to drop him to the tower so they can discuss this with avengers and formulate a plan but he denied and he went straight to your apartment. He thought his home could help and bring him back a little bit from the brink of madness but he was wrong, He broke down as soon as he entered, it didn't feel like home anymore, how would it feel so? you were not there, you are his home. He went to your closet and took out the dress, you worn on the first date, the dress you worn when he saw you again for the first time in months. He clutched onto it and cried n cried n cried untill he couldn't cry anymore.
When he was tortured by Thanos's henchmen he almost didn't survive it, so how would you, his soft kind princess won't be able to take his wrath, you have been through so much in your life and you finally had love and safety in him but now you're taken and his heart is breaking every second at the thought of you hurting and screaming for help, screaming for him to get you "Hey you, ice baby *giggles* I'm missing you like crazy, I'm on my break if you're free you can call me and if not, just know that I'm thinking of you too sweet baby and I can't wait to be in your arms soon, btw I loved that note you left for me this morning, though I prefer waking up with you, I don't mind receiving notes like that, okay cutie, I'll see you in few hours, I love you lo" he listened to your voicemail again n again, could this be the last time he'll ever hear your sweet voice? No no no he can't be thinking like this again, he can't give up on you so soon. As soon as he decided to do something about this situation, they came for him. The black order.
"tch tch tch the mighty God of mischief, wouldn't be at such lowly place, if you were successful in your mission the first time itself" He heard ebony maw's voice from behind him and clenched his fist, he needs to find you first, he needs to see you alive with his own eyes "Where is she?" He turned, his eyes were burning red with anger and tears, he waved his fingers and he was all decked in his Asgardian armour. "She's where she's supposed to be asgardian, still alive, though barely on the edge" Proxima midnight spat. He wanted to kill them both right there but then he wouldn't be able to find you "Tell mee" he yelled again and they just smirked "Come with us, the mighty Thanos himself wants to have a word with you"
"Princess I am here sweetheart" you screamed as you heard Loki's voice again, they were torturing you again n again by using his illusion, sometimes he looked so real you felt like he was actually there, when the illusion would give you one of his soft smile, you wanted to run to him and run away with him, but he wasn't there. In last few hours they didn't let you breathe or stay asleep for more than a minute. Everytime you woke up you saw him and for a second,your hazy foggy mind thought he was there to save you, you felt hope but it was quickly taken away when he would taunt you and insult how weak you are, how pathetic you are, that you never really mattered to him. You knew he wasn't real, your loki would never say those horrible things to you. But they managed to break you.
They took him to Thanos's throne ship and his heart was beating so fast he felt like he would explode. If you were harmed irrecoverably, no greater power in the universe would be able to stop him from destroying Thanos. He would die but he would have his revenge. He thought seeing Thanos would bring his pain back, bring the brutal memories of the torture back but in that moment all he wanted to do was find you and keep you safe. "Where is y/n? I need to see her" he spoke firmly and mad titan smiled "Your devotion to this feeble mortal astounds me asgardian" his eyes teared up at the blatant disrespect, you were anything but feeble for him. You were stronger than anyone he have ever known, but he would never expect a genocidal maniac to grasp the concept of pure selfless love his princess has shown him. He never had it himself. "Bring the mortal" he orders one of his henchmen and his heart started to beat faster with every moment that passed. And then he saw you, chained like an animal, looking so exhausted you were not even looking up, or looking at him, his heart completely broke at the sight of his princess looking so battered and scared. "Princess" he ran to you and cupped your cheeks but you screamed, he was taken aback by your reaction. "Godd please stopp please I'm begging you just stop I can't take this anymore" you screamed each n every syllable and loki was so hurt with your reaction. What did they show you? What did these bastards do to you? Did they show you illusions of him hurting you?
"What the hell did you do to her ?" He ran towards Thanos and attacked him with his charm and he fell down, his minions almost attacked him but Thanos stopped them, however It managed to falter Thanos's calm composed attitude. "If you don't want your useless mortal to die you would think about using your sorcery on me again" loki ran back to you again and hugged you, so tightly, he wanted you to feel him, to let you know that he was here, that you were safe, you continued to scream in his arms and the sound of your screams hurt him more than anything. But he didn't let go, he didn't stop "princess princess princess please get back to me sweet love, I need you to see me, feel me please" he sobbed in the crook of you neck and you stopped screaming
The illusion never touched you, it never cried, it never held you like this. Is it possible that your lo is here? That he came to save you? Or it's one their cruel games. How do you find the truth ? How do you believe him ? You look at him, your beautiful eyes seemed hopeless and it killed him. "Princess, I am here, I know what they did to you but I promise it's me, look at me sweet love, please" he pleaded with you again and you wanted to believe him but you were so scared of him disappearing again, so scared of being alone in that cell again but then you felt him, all these times when you took in his scent, the scent of him you loved so much, you never knew someday that particular unique essence of him will save you from the edge of insanity. But it did, you could smell him and you could feel him. He was here "Oh god lo please take me with you please" you cried profusely as you hugged him tightly and he sat down on his knees taking you along with him. You were back to him and he won't let them get to you again.
"As much as I'm enjoying this , you're wasting alot of my precious time asgardian, I didn't bring you here to reunite with your beloved. You can't take her back unless you do what I want" he heard Thanos again and he felt you clutching so tightly on him. You were so afraid and all he wanted was to get you away from these monsters. "What do you want" he asked, his voice showed no emotion , what could this mad man possibly require from him again "Death of avengers and the tesseract" loki turns his head to look at him "You deranged fool, you really think I'll be able take down the avengers all by myself? And Tesseract is on the realm of Asgard under odin's protection" He spoke angrily, his arms still wrapped around you. Would he really go after avengers for you? Even if he's willing to you would never want him to go down that path again. It took him so long to forgive himself for the mistakes he have made, you can't be the reason he would commit such atrocities again.
"I do not appreciate the language, I know you can't take them all by yourself, or you couldn't have before but aren't you a part of them now? They trust you, you know their weaknesses and it would be easy for you this time and they would never suspect it. Bring me the avengers and I'll get the stones myself, then you can go on and live peacefully with your mortal, I'll have no qualms with you once my purpose is fulfilled" he heard the mad titan and for a second he wanted to agree, he wanted to destroy everything and everyone if it meant you'd be safe and you'd be by his side forever but you'd never forgive him for that, he can never disappoint you like that, he can never go back to his evil ways.

He agreed or he pretended to agree and Thanos warned him to not use trickery but he wasn't called the god of mischief just for fun. That day he managed to trick Thanos into believing him, he managed to trick Thanos into believing his plan, he was so convincing that even when ebony maw read his mind, all he saw was how willing loki was to kill avengers in exchange of your life, he convinced Thanos that he would kill all the avengers but he would need Thanos by his side, the mad titan himself and his minions would go with him, he knew he would fail because he wanted to fail this time, he wanted to lose this time, he wanted to go down and take Thanos with him. He was hoping eddie played his cards right and already informed the avengers of Thanos's doing and he hoped that his brother thor believed it and they were ready for Thanos and his army. He somehow managed to make Thanos engage into a war with avengers, and they were ready, they were very well prepared. They have been preparing for this moment from a very long time, since new york attack. Tony has been preparing for this and he was ready.
So the war began and he just needed you safe so he kept you safe in the tower, while the avengers fought, and killed his minions one by one. "Princess don't go anywhere sweetheart, my darling love, you stay here okay? I'll come to you soon I promise" he whispered as he hugged you tightly "Can I do anything to help?" You ask him and he smiles, his brave princess "No you just stay here and be safe, I love you so much" He mumbles and you clutch onto him tightly "You be safe too, and you better come back to me or I'll never talk to you again, love you my sweet baby" you sniff and hug him tightly before you send him with a promise or threat. Bucky watched the whole interaction, he didn't understand what he felt, but he was envious, not of loki but the love you both had itself "Second favour in a day barnes, I owe you" loki walks up to Bucky, he asked him to keep an eye on you. "Pleasure is all mine, get that purple son of a bitch" he smiles.
In the war zone, So many new superheroes came out of nowhere, a guy who addressed himself as Dr strange, he harboured the time stone, while the stone in vision's head was apparently the mind stone, it was warning him from last few days that's why wanda was worried about him acting weird, Eddie and venom took most of his army by itself, he couldn't help rejoice, he wouldn't have to worry about them hurting you again. But he was wrong. Thanos was defeated by avengers, he was killed when Thor's hammer went straight through his head. He was gone, no more fear of the mad titan himself but then he heard your voice.
"Loki.." your voice crumbled as you fell down, no this can't be, he left you in the tower, how could you be here "you killed our father" Proxima midnight screamed as she took the spear out from your abdomen and he saw red right there. He attacked her and cut her neck off with one of his daggers. Wanda and other avengers ran towards you, you were bleeding heavily from the gaping hole in your abdomen, loki ran towards you and he picked you in his arms "Princess hey, look at me love, you're going to be okay" he consoled you or more like himself as he whispered softly, "Bucky..hurt" you tried to inform them about Bucky and as soon as captain heard you, he sent Sam to look for him, wanda started to cry loudly at the sight of your almost lifeless body and vision hugged her. No no this can't be he won't let you die like this. Not after they successfully managed to defeat Thanos "lo ..baby ..I..love " you tried to speak but your head started to feel lighter n lighter the more blood you lost "sssh don't speak love, let me fix you, you'll be okay I promise, you will be okay" he mumbled mindlessly as he tried to use his healing charm but the wound was too deep and you have already lost enough blood.
You looked at him and smiled one last time before you closed your eyes slowly drifting into the darkness "princess?hey" he tapped on your cheeks as he called your name "Y/n?" His heart sank, he didn't want to believe this, this can't be happening, he had a nightmare once about you dying in his arms but that's all it was right? You promised him it was just a nightmare "You open your eyes right now or I'll never talk to you again princess, this is not funny princess, Wake up" he screamed and everyone started to cry, he held you so tight as he kept his ears on your chest and tried to feel your heartbeat but he couldn't feel you anymore. He was covered in your blood as he held your lifeless body in his arms and weeped.
"Loki can I ask you something? It's totally hypothetical okay so I don't want you to get upset" you ask him softly, you were cuddling him, it was your turn to be the bigger spoon , he was in heaven with his chest snugged comfortably between your breasts as you laid side to side "Mmm okay princess, ask your question" his voice came out all muddled and it made you giggle. "What will you do if I die?" You feel his grip on your torso tightening at the question. He put his head up and looks at you, his eyes tearing up at the thought "lo it's hypothetical, you promised me you won't get upset" you kiss his forehead and he snuggled into you again "I can't answer that princess, because I never ever want to think about a life where I don't have my princess with me, so please never ever leave me alone like that understand?" He mumbles softly and it's not the answer you were looking for but you can't make him more sad but You're going to die someday and he would still be here "I just want you to know that even if I'm gone someday, you'd still always have my love with you, and you'll find love again I promise, there's no way a sunshine precious babyboy would ever be alone for..." you speak softly but gets cut off by his lips on yours "shushh princess please you're hurting me, never want to find love again, I already have, I have you and you're my forever" he sniffed like a kid and it broke your heart "okay okay okay baby I'm sorry, I was just .." he kisses you again and shakes his head "you're hurting me princess, stop hurting me please" he sniffed again and you can't take it anymore "I'm sorry baby, I'm so sorry forgive me please" you held him tightly. "I'm here I'm not going anywhere okay?" You consoled him and he stopped sobbing. He can't do this without you. He won't be able to do any of this without you by his side, without your smile, your touch, your words, every little thing that he cherishes. He's yours and you're his and that's how it's going to be.
Loki snapped out of his thoughts at the sight of your limp body, you were never going to look at him again or speak those soft encouraging words to him. You were gone, you left him alone even though you promised you would never. He failed you again, this time he wouldn't have a chance at redemption or forgiveness. He would never get to hear you or touch you or feel you again.
You're gone forever and He's all Alone.
