Chapter 8
For next two weeks, Tony and Vision were secretly searching around New Orleans alongside Fury’s new SHIELD.
Tony always liked New Orleans, it is truly a city of culture and Bourbon Street is… just beautiful.
Currently Tony, Vision and Friday, who created her own suit are flying into another “secret” Hydra Base just outside the City.
It shouldn’t really surprise Tony that Friday decided to build her own suit.
After all she is her father’s daughter.
He is worried of course, but he understands why she is doing this and supports her in her decisions.
Friday suit is also something different and beautiful.
She used Tony’s experimental technology with Nanotech that Tony used to build Iron Spider Suit. It’s painted in Dark midnight Blue with some Gold and Silver parts.
It kinda mirrors Tony’s newest suit Mark 48 or “Stealth-E” as Tony calls it.
It is also painted in Dark Midnight Blue but some shades darker than Friday’s.
It also has Silver Faceplate and some small details on legs and arms. It’s faceplate also doesn’t have a mouth so it looks more “meaner”
What is the most important feature in this nee suit, is that Tony actually listened to the advice Harley gave him a few years back.
This Suit has build in retro reflective panels with allows it to become fully invisible.
Right now Tony is glad for that feature. He doesn’t want to be seen.
“We are almost there Chief” Jocasta says and Tony smiles little at her Scottish Accent.
After “Fury’s visit” he finished her and she quickly became important part of their little family.
She is snarky, and really playful.
She also likes to tease, and is that little annoying sibling that everyone imagines, once Tony found annoyed Dum-E jumping in his workshop, while U and Butterfingers were holding him down.
Dum-E was trying to reach the ceiling to “pull his little sister’s imaginary hair” as she was playfully taunting him.
Speaking of… Tony wonders if Jocasta will also one day ask for her own body. He kinda already has an idea of how she could look like…
The Base or “Underground Bunker” comes into a view and Tony, Friday and Vision hover for a few minutes in air.
Inside Friday’s and Tony’s helmets they are scanning the base for any life signatures, energy readings, anything.
Surprisingly, this base seems rather… inactive.
There are some Hydra Agents with Chitauri tech and weapons, but no Modok or anything like that.
There is also weird energy reading that neither Tony or Friday are sure what exactly is. They need to get closer.
So they move in. Vision phases threw the wall and opens the doors for them and they quickly make their way threw the base.
Hydra was at first, completely clueless as to what was happening.
As far as the World was aware, Tony Stark and The Vision left and nobody saw them ever since and Friday didn’t exist.
So they were stunned and shocked when Vision phased into the room, followed by Iron Man and some chick in Iron Man suit who appeared out of nowhere.
They didn’t stand a chance.
Tony made his way to the source of the strange energy source they saw earlier, while Friday and Vision stayed back to hold the line.
There were some defense turrets in his way, but… He is Iron Man
He quickly found that the energy source was large Cryo-Chamber.
Someone was inside and Hydra wanted that someone frozen.
Normally, Tony wouldn’t hesitate to open it, but considering his last encounter with Hydra’s Frozen Assets…
Eventually he got over himself, signing he hit the release button.The Chamber opened and inside was… Carol Danvers.
Immediately Tony was stunned by her appearance, she was hot!
No pun intended
She had Long, Dark Blond Hair and was wearing black shirt with long sleeves and black leggings.
She also had little cuts and bruises on her face, she was probably interrogated and refused to answer their questions.
Tony releases her from the machinery and she falls to his arms, still unconscious.
Tony picks her up, bridal style and walks away.
When he reaches Friday and Vision, it seems that the fun already ended.
Hydra Agents are left and right some are still groaning in pain while Vision and Friday are looking smugly and proud about themselves.
Huh, so this is how proud Parents feel..
They notice him carrying unconscious Carol and rush to him.
“Is she okay?” Vision asks looking at her concerned.
Tony nods “She has some cuts, but will be okay”
“Me and Jo collected all the date we could from their systems. We are clear to leave” Friday says as her helmet starts forming around her head.
Tony nods and they all fly away.
In air, Vision and Friday are flying ahead of him as he is carefully holding the unconscious woman.
She starts to move in his arms and her eyes weakly open.
She immediately jerks and Tony has to tighten his hold on her, so she doesn’t fall, she looks at him, scared.
Tony understanding why, opens his faceplate and gives her his best reassuring smile. “Hi there sleepyhead.”
Her expression changes from scared to confused one and Tony, mentally takes it as a win.
“Relax, you are safe. I’m taking you to Fury.”
She hesitates and then weakly nods, puting her arms around his neck. She also hides her face by pressing her head into his chest.
This action throws Tony little off balance, but before be can even start asking some questions, she is already passed out.
When they arrive at Fury’s base, Carol is immediately rushed into the Med Bay and just as the Doctors are wheeling her off, Tony can’t shake this feeling that there is something more going on…
It was to easy… Why wasn’t she more secured?
”Everything is going exactly as I predicted”
“So, the rumors are true… Fury went to Iron Man for help?”
”Yes. Stark already found Danvers and took her with him. It’s only matter of time before they arrive at Fury’s new headquarters.”
”Are your bots ready?”
”Of course, I created them.”
”Remember MODOK… I want Stark alive, no matter what.”
”And you will have him, just as I promised”
“Good. Hail Hydra”
“Hail Hydra” MODOK smiles evilly.
