Mothers
The search party had quickly spread out.
Eda, Lilith, and the scouts had gone to the town. Emira to her home to her family. And Luz and Amity to the Owl House, where Azura was being hidden.
Amity could not stop thinking, she could not stop praying, that somehow, things are ok. That they made it in time.
That Azura was waiting for them. Scared out of her mind, but safe and sound.
"No..." Luz whispered.
Amity looked forward, and all of her hopes were gone.
The Owl House was destroyed. It was all rubble and flames.
No...please Titan know...
Azura has to be OK, she HAS TO BE !
If she was hurt..it would be Amity's fault. She had been the one that supposed to take care of her.
"LUZ, AMITY, OVER HERE !"
"Wait...is that...its KING !" Luz yelled. She and Amity quickly flew down.
King was there, and he looked largely unharmed, which did give some hope.
But Amity could not see her daughter with him.
"King !" Luz cried as she embraced him.
"I am so glad you are unharmed..."
"King what...HOOTY !" Luz yelled, rushing towards the clearly injured Hooty.
"Blehe...hi Luz !"
"Hooty you are hurt !"
"I...I will be fine..."
"King." Amity asked. "Where...is Azura with you, is she safe, is she..." She could not bring herself to finish that sentence.
King looked down, making Amity feel dread.
"I'm sorry....they....they took her."
No....
"They...who's they !"
"Kikimora and Boscha. They attacked us. We tried our best but....we could not stop them. They took both Azura and Vee."
"No...no no no !" Amity said, falling to her knees.
Her daughter. Her precious daughter. Was now with a psychopath and a witch that could not let go of the past. Both who would target her for her mothers.
"King....you said they took Vee....and Azura....what about my mom ?"
Amity looked at Luz, who had a horrified look at her face.
"I...I don't know...Hooty threw me out before I could be caught. I..."
Oh no...
"She...SHE'S STILL IN THE HOUSE !" Luz yelled, rushing to the flaming house.
Quikly grabbing a glyph, she summoned water to put the flames out, and started helping.
Amity wasted no time in helping her.
"MOM, WHERE ARE YOU ! MOM !"
"CAMILA ! ITS US, LUZ IS HERE ! CAMILA ?"
"MOM, CAN YOU HEAR ME, MOM AWNSER ME, MOM, MAMÁ !"
There was no sound for a while, and then...
"Luz...Amity ?"
It was weak, but....it was her, it was Camila.
She's alive !
"MOM !" Luz yelled. "Don't worry, we are getting you out."
Luz and Amity digger with threw the rubble, with Amity using her abomination magic to get things out quickly. King even came to help out.
Then finally, they saw her.
"Mom !" Luz yelled relived. Helping Camila out of the rubble and hugging her."
"Luz...bebe, you are here, you are save !" Camila said, hugging her back.
"I am Mom. I am here. Aqui estoy."
Camilia looked at Amity. "Thank you."
Amity just nodded. Relived, even if it was momentary.
"I'm sorry. I tried to protect Azura but.."
"No, don't blame yourself Mom. We are beyond grateful, we will get her back."
"She's right Camila. I will never thank you enough for doing this."
"Come on, we need to get her to a healer soon !"
Luz and Amity grabbed Camila, and helped her up, trying to get her help as soon as possible.
Eda looked at the town.
It had been damaged, just like the Collector had done back then.
But while the kid had not really meant the destruction and felt regretful about it. This people had meant it all, and Eda knew they did not regret a single thing.
They at least got a victory, though with a great cost. They got Luz back and Adrian is dead now. But....looking at this, it was clear who had won the day.
"GR." Eda heard someone struggling.
"Is someone there !"
From the rubble of a building, Darius shakily stood up.
"Hello Edalyin."
"Darius, man you look rough."
"You don't have to remind me." He groaned. "I'm pretty sure I broke something."
"Darius, I am gonna ask it right away, where is Raine."
"Ugh...sorry Eda. They got taken. Just like many others. Including Alador and his son Edric..."
"No....Raine." Eda mumbled.
Why did fate kept separating them. The curse, Belos, and now fucking Odalia.
Well just like before, Eda would find them.
"I will get them back." Eda growled.
"Did you get Luz back ?"
"Yes, not only that, but we killed off Adrian."
"The annoying man child is dead. At least some good news came from here. You should head to the Owl House, your son was there, and so was the Noceda-Blight family."
"Right, come on Lilly, we need to check on them !"
Eda flew off. Her sister right behind her. Her mind thinking of Raine...and what they will do to Odalia once they see her.
"I swear I never imagined Boscha would go this far."
"She is in love with you Sweet Potato, of course she would go mad. I did."
"Flattery." She chuckled.
She knows what Luz is trying to do. Tone down their anxiety because of Azura being kidnapped.
"We will find her Amity." Luz said firmly. "Once we get Mami to the healers, we are gonna get our daughter back."
"Luz...Amity.."
"Huh...Mamá, is something wrong ?"
"I...I need to...catch my breath !"
Suddenly Camila collapsed on the floor. Luz and Amity hurried to aid her.
"Mama, are you hurt, is something wrong ?" Luz yelled.
"I'm ok Mija. I just...need to rest..."
"We can take time." Amity reassured her. "We can wait for you, just keep your breath and..."
"Amity..."
Amity turned to Luz, who had a haunted look on her face.
Her hand was full of blood.
Amity looked over, and saw...Camila's stomach had been pierced. Something must have fallen in top of her.
"No...no no." Luz said. "Mama, mama stay with me, stay with me !"
Camila looked at that, and sighted "I guess...I guess the time has come."
"No, don't say that !" Luz begged. "Please don't say that !"
"WE NEED A HEALER !" Amity yelled. "SOMEONE, WE NEED A HEALER, FAST !"
"A HEALER !" King yelled. "WE NEED HELP, SOMEBODY, HELP !"
It was no use. There was no one here.
"Luz...come here." Camila mumbled.
"I'm here Mama, I am here. I won't leave you."
"Mija...I am proud of you....so proud...and so happy."
"No, don't say that, you are gonna be ok, you have to be ok ! I...I still need you !"
"Mija...ese tiempo ya paso. Please, find Azura, and tell Vee I am sorry..."
"No mamá, no ! "
"Amity, come here."
She weakly raised her hand, which Amity quickly grabbed.
"Amity Blight....you were the best thing to ever happen to Luz. I will never thank you enough for how happy you made her. Now..I must entrust my gift...my and Manny's gift, to you. Promise me, you will take care of her."
"Don't say that ! You are gonna be ok, you..."
"Promise me..."
"I....I promise.."
Camila gave her a watery smile and turned to Luz. "Luz...I think...I want to see Manny again."
"No...no mama please no !"
"I love you Luz.." Camila mumbled, her head falling to the floor. One last tear falling from her eye.
"Mamá...Mami ?"

"No...no no...Mom...wake up please...NO, MOM WAKE UP ! MOM ! MAMÁ !"
Amity could just watch the heartbreaking scene.
Camila....was gone.
"MAMA !" Luz yelled, in full anguish. "NO THIS...THIS CAN NOT BE HAPPENING, MAMÁ WAKE UP, GOD PLEAE, MAMÁ. MAMÁ !"
Amity quickly grabbed Luz in a hug, holding her close as she yelled for her mother.
King lowered his head. Even as a Titan, he could do nothing.
She felt two figures land behind them.
"What happened here !" Eda yelled. "Where.....no." She mumbled seeing what just happened.
"My goodness." Lilith mumbled horrified.
"MAMÁ !" Luz cried one final time, before collapsing in Amity's shoulder. "No...Amity why...WHY, WHY !"
"I...I'm so sorry Luz." She mumbled, hugging and crying as well.
Camila was one of the purest souls in the world. She did not deserve this. She did not deserve to die.
She had risked her life to protect Azura...and now look at this. Camila is dead, Luz lost her mother....all because of Amity's own mother.
"It's...It's starting to rain." Lilith mumbled. "We need...we need to leave."
"Luz...come on baby...we need to go." Amity said quietly, helping Luz move.
Luz could not speak. She could not do anything but cry.
Eda walked, and picked up Camila's body. No way would she let her end up like Belos.
"I'm sorry." She mumbled. "I swear I will look after our kid. I promise you that."
With that, they all took flight. Leaving before the rain could hit them.
While recovering more memories, Hunter got a weird feeling.
"Hunter, is something wrong ?"
"I...I don't know..."
He got shivers in his body.
“Gus...I think something has happened. Something very bad has happened.”
Hunter had that feeling only one time. That was the night he lost Flapjack.
He hopes he’s wrong. He really does.
It was a good thing the Blight Manor had gone to Alador at the divorce. It made the perfect shelter.
People were located in the various rooms and areas, the people that needed a refuge from the rain, since their home has been damaged or destroyed by the attack.
Luz and Amity’s home had remained intact, but....it was not home without Azura.
What used to be Alador’s lab, had essentially become a morgue. Camila’s body had been placed in a mattres, with a blanket covering it.
Luz still didn’t want to leave her side, and Amity and Eda stayed right there with her.
It still did not hit Amity that Camila is dead. Sweet Camila Noceda, who had no problems with Luz dating a witch, who had welcomed Amity into her family, even before she and Luz got engaged, her mother in law...is gone, forever.
And to make matters worst, Camila wasn’t the only one. Other people were there. People that lost their loved ones.
To her relief, Em had managed to reunite with Vinney and Cole, who had escaped an attack thanks to Jerbo, who gave his life to protect them.
She turned to another body that she knew.
Principal Bump. Even if he wasn’t at the school anymore, they said he gave his life to protect students.
Not to mention, many had been kidnapped by the Confedartion. Including her father, brother, and daughter.
So many dead, many lost...and all because of one person.
“Mamá...” Luz cries, still holding Camila’s hand. “I miss you...”
Amity went to comfort her, but then she noticed her scroll was ringing.
“Huh ?”
She opened it, and looked at it.
It was a message from Edric ! It said for her to get her Crystal ball and call him.
“I need to go for a moment, can you take care of Luz ?”
“I’ll watch her.” Eda assured her.
Amity rushes away to find the nearest crystal ball and goes to What once was her room, to call her brother.
But when the call connected, Edric didn’t answer, but instead..
“Hello Mittens.”
“You....” she growled.
“Why, is that the way to great your mother after not seeing her for years.”
Odalia..
“You....after all you did...you dared to call me !”
“I did what was for the best sweetheart, like I always have.”
“The best, THE BEST ? PEOPLE ARE FUCKING DEAD, BECAUSE OF YOU !”
“Casualties are just part of it Mittens. In order to get things done, sacrifices must be done.”
“Is that what people are to you, just parts of whatever game you are playing ?!”
“Oh Mittens. For someone so bright, you are so short sighted. So long as the end goal is completed, the other parts don’t matter. It’s one of the things Belos had correct.”
Amity felt angrier as the time went by.
This woman was....no wonder she agreed to help Belos. She was just like him, willing to kill anyone for her selfish goals.
“YOU KIDNAPPED MY WIFE, AND THEN KIDNAPPED MY DAUGHTER. AND WORST OF ALL, YOU KILLED MY MOTHER IN LAW, YOU FUCKING MONSTER. NEXT TIME I SEE YOU...”
“Now now Sweetie, I feel you are being unfair here. I shouldn’t get all the blame.”
“Excuse me...”
“Why, none of this would have happened if it wasn’t for you Mittens.”
Amity did not speak at hearing that.
“You dare to blame me for this...you make me sick.”
“Ain’t I Right though ? After all. It’s thanks to you and your desire to get to your little girlfriend that I had to run away. All this plans happened because you could not do what I told you...”
“I...”
“Not to mention, had you not fallen in love with Luz. Boscha would not have become so jealous, and Luz’s mother would not have been hurt by her desire for revenge. You made that Amity, you were the one that fell for her, and now the kid you made is paying the price.”
“I...”
“And well. I guess Luz can be forgiven for not protecting her child, as she was trapped. What’s your excuse my dear. Where were you when Azura needed your protection ?”
“....”
“So Don’t you dare to blame me for all of this Amity. This, is also your fault. The kidnapping of your wife and daughter. The death of your mother in law, that is on you. Then again, you are my daughter. We are the same after all.”
“....”
“Not In the mood to talk ? That’s ok. I just called to tell this. I’ll send you my location threw Edric’s scroll. If you wish to see your daughter again, I’ll be waiting for you and Luz. See you soon sweetie. It’s been so long and your mother misses you.”
The call ended, leaving a stunned Amity in the floor.
That wasn’t true, this wasn’t her fault. She had tried to protect her family.
“GAAAH !” Amity yelled, slamming the ball in the ground.
She kneed, tears falling threw her eyes,
She’s not the same as her mother. She’s not a monster.
They are not the same....they are not....
King sighted from his chair, when he felt something vibrate.
“What the ?” He got his Crystal ball out.
“KING !” A familiar voice yelled.
It was the Collector.
“Collector, finally !”
“Sorry for not answering. There is not a good signal here. So how...”
“Collector, Listen. We need help ! Remember Odalia ? She’s attacking us. She’s kidnapped Azura and others, and even killed people ! We need your help, fast.”
A few moments of silence followed, and then...
“I’m on my way.” The Collector said firmly.
King sighted. For the first time in the night, there was hope.
