Chapter 1

Miles grinned as he hit the roof. He had just had a great time in Gwen’s dimension and it was a holiday weekend, so his dad was going to pick him up. Even though that could be embarrassing, the first thing that Miles was going to do when he got home was sleep. Who knew that being a vigilante would make him pull crazy hours. Miles was about to swing back to Brooklyn Visions Academy when a building that wasn’t there this morning made him pause. It was a tower that looked a little like the head of a llama with a giant A on it. Miles groaned, he had entered the wrong dimension again. Miles quickly looked around and breathed out a sigh of relief when it was quite evident that this wasn’t the zombie dimension. Miles never wanted to go back there.

Miles checked the device that allowed him to jump dimensions and cursed. It was low on power, he would have to find somewhere that wouldn’t mind him plugging in and taking enough juice to light a house for a week. Miles sighed, this was going to be difficult. He shot a web to the next building and swung out, but his attention was caught by his spider sense letting him know that there was someone behind him. Miles turned around and caught sight of a very shiny Spider-man suit. Miles was so distracted by the metal that covered the spider suit that he swung directly into a billboard and fell onto a nearby rooftop.

“Ow…” Miles groaned as he sat up.

“Are you okay man?” The new Spider-Man asked Miles.

Miles noticed in surprise that this Spider-Man sounded young, much younger than the blonde Peter Parker of his own dimension and his Hobo mentor Peter. As Miles looked closer he also noticed that the suit this Spider-Man was very clearly made of metal and much more tricked out than his and the other spiders he knew.

“Wait, wait, were you trying to copy me?” The new Spider-Man asked, “Please, please don’t say you are. I’m not ready to hear Happy tell me I told you so and Mr. St—”

Miles tilted his head as this Spider-Man wilted and didn’t finish his sentence. Miles decided to cut this guy some slack.

“No, no, no, no, I’m not copying you, I mean if you’re still Peter Parker—” Miles said waving his hand and cut himself off as Spider-Man choked in surprise, “Okay, so you are. I mean, I kinda figured since even Spider-Ham’s name was Peter Porker. Me and Gwen were the only ones not named something close to that. I’m copying Spider-Man from my dimension since he’s dead.”

Spider-Man’s lenses were comically wide in surprise and his voice came out somewhat strangled, “I’m not dead, I came back just like everyone else. Also what did you mean by frigging, ‘Spider-Ham?!’”

Miles blinked, “What do you mean by you were dead and came back like everyone else?”

“Dude, how do you not know about the Blip? It was only six months ago and it affected not only Earth, but the entire universe!”

“That’s what I’m trying to tell you, I’m not from this universe!” Miles exclaimed, then decided to trust this Spider-Man and took off his mask, “My name’s Miles Morales. I was visiting my friend in another dimension and I didn’t put in the correct numbers to get back home. Do you think you could help me get enough charge to get me home.”

Spider-Man hesitated then his mask melted into his suit. Miles choked on his tongue, not only because this Peter looked very young, but because he was very familiar.

“Tom Holland?!” Miles exclaimed.

Peter, maybe Tom, gave him a very confused look, “Uh, no? You had it right the first time. I’m Peter Parker.”

“But, but, you…..What?” Miles asked in confusion because this Peter Parker looked exactly like Tom Holland, “Okay, right.....you know what, I’m just gonna go with it.”

Peter looked at Miles like he was crazy.

“So, what exactly did you need help with?”

Miles raised his transporter, “I need to charge this. It takes a lot of power.”

Peter shrugged, “Oh, that’s no problem. I can swing by one of Stark industry labs and plug it in. The arc reactor technology should take care of it.”

Miles blinked in surprise, “Are you kidding me? It’s that easy?”

“Yeah, Stark tech really is the best outside of Wakanda. I’m certain we can charge whatever you need….Oh, shoot!” Peter exclaimed and his mask reappeared, “I was supposed to meet a friend, they were returning my phone that I forgot!”

Miles pulled his mask back on, “Don’t sweat it man. I can follow you then we can go wherever. I’m not in a big rush, if you know exactly where we’re going.”

Peter nodded and shot a web out to the next building. Miles followed Peter until they were in an alley. Peter tapped his chest and the entire spider suit melted into the spider logo on his chest.

“Dude!” Miles exclaimed, “That’s awesome!”

Peter nodded, grinning, “I know right! It’s a lot faster too.”

Miles looked down at his suit then said in realization, “I have no extra clothes in this dimension.”

Peter looked Miles straight in the face then broke into giggles at the peculiarity of the situation. Miles joined in. When Peter had himself together, he held out his backpack.

“I keep extra here. I don’t mind if you take them.”

Miles sighed in relief and quickly changed into the clothes Peter offered him. When they both ducked out of the alley, Peter immediately pointed out his friend. A girl with frizzy hair that had her head bent over a sketch book.

Peter’s friend didn’t look up until he very greeted her, “Hi!”

The girl looked up and Miles’s jaw dropped and he screeched, drawing some odd looks, “ZENDAYA?!” He then glared and smacked Peter lightly on the arm, “Why didn’t you tell me your friend was the Zendaya? Are you sure you aren’t Tom Holland?”

Both Peter and Zendaya were giving Miles very confused looks again. Peter spoke first.

“Uh…..again, I have no idea what you’re talking about, but this is MJ. Not whoever Zendaya is.”

Miles gasped in horror, “You don’t have Zendaya in this universe? Tragic.”

MJ, who Miles wasn’t entirely sure wasn’t Zendaya, asked, “What do you mean in this universe?”

Miles blinked a couple of times and opened his mouth and hoped what came out wasn’t something like the ‘who’s Morales’ incident, “I’m an actor.”

MJ raised an eyebrow, “You don’t sound very confident about that. And why are you wearing this loser's clothes?”

Miles stuttered trying to think of something, but thankfully, Peter stepped in to help, “I spilled something on his clothes on the way here, and since I always have an extra change of clothes, I’m letting him borrow them until we get to his house.”

MJ stared at them, clearly not convinced, “You both are hiding something.”

Peter and Miles exchanged panicked looks before MJ snorted, “Just kidding. I don’t really care.”

Peter and Miles let out a sigh of relief as MJ handed Peter back his phone.

“Next time make sure you have it after Acadec.” MJ scolded Peter as she left, “Later losers.”

Miles looked at Peter’s face, which had turned slightly pink, “You like her.”

Peter’s blush deepened, “Of, of course I do! She’s my friend!”

“You like like her!”

“No, I don’t!” Peter exclaimed, though his tomato red face said otherwise, “C’mon, you need to go home, let's get to the lab. It might be in use, though, so I have to call Happy and check if there’s anyone there. I think he was complaining about someone leaving Twinkie wrappers in a high security area or something.”

“Who’s Happy?” Miles asked as they both began walking to their destination.

“A friend. That’s why I really needed my phone.” Peter admitted

“Are you sure, it’s not because you really wanted to see—”

“Shut up!”
