Are you okay?
Chishiya had his hands in his white hoodie as he looked down at the depressed male, he can't seem to remember his name correctly. His mind wandered to the games he had played. He recalled that fluffy-looking black hair.
“Arisu?” Chishiya quietly bent down and looked down at the male. “Come on, you have to get up. You’ll die out here.” His eyes kept looking for any movements, ensuring he was alive. Arisu was alive which made him calm a little. He noticed that the male made no effort in getting up. "Arisu, you can't just wait for your visa to run out. That isn't a good way to go out." Chishiya tried to talk sense into the male but sighed when it wasn't working. "Fine... You can die here. I don't care." The small man walked away from the depressed gamer, laying in a cold puddle Arisu's eyes started to close again as he drifted off into a not-so-peaceful sleep.
He didn't know how long he was asleep but he found himself warm, in a tent. This confused the poor man as he didn't own a tent, nor did his father or younger brother. Arisu sat up and poked his head out from the tent and saw Chishiya sitting in front of the fire which is what Arisu thinks is making him warm. He also noticed that his clothes were dry, did this weird man take his clothes off?
"I can hear your brain thinking, come sit with me. I have food for you," Chishiya said but never looked away from the fire in front of the male. Arisu was a bit hesitant to walk forward, but something in his brain made him do it. Sitting down on the wooden stump next to the hooded man gave him some sorta relief, a sense of hope.
"Before you ask, no I didn't take your clothes off." Chishiya stood up and grabbed a bowl of food and handed it to Arisu. "I just sat you next to the fire." He gave the bowl of ramen to the starving male.
"Thank you.." Arisu mumbled as he shoved the ramen into his mouth. He watched as Chishiya sat next to him holding a piece of paper in his hand. The gamer turned in his chair and looked down at the paper, it looked like the visa scribble that he had done. Next to it was another piece of paper with similar circles but it had many more circles on it. "Is that your visa?" Arisu asked the male.
Chishiya nodded. "It looks like I got here around 6 days before you."
"6 days! And you survive this all on your own!" Arisu looked over at the male in shock. He got a cheeky smile and a nod. "How? I don't think I could have survived if it wasn't for my friends."
"I..." Chishiya started to talk before he trailed off and looked into the fire.
"You don't know?" Arisu filled in the rest of his statement, and he earned a nod in response.
"That doesn't matter!" Chishiya shook his head. "Eat up, we should find a game, we have a while on our visas but we can never be comfortable, if we want to get out of here alive we should try and learn something."
Arisu was amazed by this man's view. There was no way that Arisu would be able to be that positive if he was on his own for 6 days in a place where you are having to fight for your life nonstop. He thought for a moment to his friends that he just lost. Then he remembered something. "Chishiya! We have to go to my group's base! We found something that we thought was important."
Chishiya's eyes lit up. "You found something? And when was this?" He asked the taller man.
"Uhhhh Aguni, one of my friends found a walkie-talkie on some player's corpse and heard a weird message come from it," Arisu told him. "It was something about having the answer and coming back to the beach!" He stood up and offered his hand out for Chishiya to grab.
Chishiya smiled at him and grabbed his hand, being pulled up off the wooden stump. "Well then, we should get going before it gets dark."

Chishiya and Arisu walked for around 3 hours before they got to the hotel Arisu, Danma, Aguni and Shibuki were staying in and into their rooms. He stood by the door as Arisu ran around the hotel room, looking like a madman picking up everything that he would need. The short man put his hood on and waited 30 minutes before Arisu ran over and held the walkie-talkie.
"Danma hid it from me! Sorry, it took so long, he's good at hiding things," Arisu laughed as he panted, catching his breath after having run around the room for 30 minutes. "I also got all our food, there was a lot since we were feeding 4 people."
"Don't worry, we have time." Chishiya grabbed the walkie-talkie off Arisu. "Well you have just over double my days left but that's fine, means we have a week to find out all the information that we need."
"Question, how long was I asleep for?" Arisu asked him.
"I dunno, no longer than a die that's all I know, I heard your scream and the explosions." Chishiya grabbed a random stick of food, basically stealing it from Arisu and bit into it. "We should find more games so we can find some information. It's our best bet."
The 2 walked back to Chishiya's tent in silence. It was a comfortable silence too. They had no words to say but that didn't bother either of the 2 men. Arisu broke the silence by looking over at the smaller man.
"So... What did you do before you came here? You don't look that old." Arisu asked the male and got a laugh in response as the male stopped walking and turned to face him.
"I would go mountain climbing with my dad, he was a famous mountain climber, it was fun! I felt most comfortable in the mountains where nobody could judge me." Chishiya shoved his hands into his pockets looking down at the ground. "I guess my father was setting me up for this world. Physical games are easy for me. I do really miss him a lot, but what about you Arisu? You seem smart."
Arisu gave a little hum in response. "I wasn't as cool as you, I just played video games before hanging out with Danma and Aguni, my best friends who I... killed in the 7 of Hearts game. My younger brother and I didn’t have that much of a relationship, and my dad hated me." Arisu's face darkened with sadness as he remembered his friend's death and his home life.
"That must suck. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. I’m glad I came here alone, tho I wouldn’t be able to have anyone to come with anyway." Chishiya reached his seat and sat down inside as the sun fully set. "The sunset is very pretty. I think that's what I like most about being on the mountain. looking down at everything and feeling tall."
Arisu let out a loud laugh. “Yeah, that’s the only way for you to be tall.”
The climber stared at the man. “Hey! I saved and fed you!” Arisu put his hands up in defence. “Just get some sleep, we should prepare for clues and a game tomorrow.” Chishiya stood up and opened the tent and walked into it. He looked back and saw Arisu didn't follow him. "There's enough room for us both, you need good sleep if you want to live in this world."
Chishiya stayed awake during the night listening to the outside world. Every so often he heard slapping sounds, he could only guess that Arisu was being bit by some flying thing. Chishiya let out a loud laugh and opens up the tent. “Oh come on Arisu, you need good rest in this place. I don't bite if that's what you are worried about.” He went back to laying down and closes his eyes as he heard the tent door close. Chishiya felt a warm body lay down behind him. A small smile appeared on his face as he slowly drifted off into a peaceful sleep.

Arisu woke up and sat up looking around the tent, looking for Chishiya but he wasn't there. He started to panic a little thinking he lost him too, just like he lost his friends. Before a panic attack could fully settle in, a face appeared inside the tent, the silvery bangs dangle in and hide most of his face from being seen. A hand appeared in the tent holding a dead rabbit.
“I caught a rabbit, sorry it isn’t a lot. But it should be enough until tonight,” Chishiya gave him a cheeky grin. Arisu’s eyes widen. He can see Chishiya freeze a bit. “Oh I… can get more if it isn’t enough,” Chishiya starts to back up out of the tent and close it up again. Arisu quickly stands up and holds his arm.
“Wait Chishiya!” Arisu looked down at the male. “This is fine, you just have to teach me sometime.” He laughed and gave Arisu a soft smile before going over to the fire and starting to cook the rabbit.
“When did you learn how to kill animals?” Arisu asked the short man who was perfectly cooking the small rabbit. He got a shrug and a hum in response. All talk stopped as they started to eat their part of the rabbit.
It was 5 hours later, and the sun was starting to set, which meant that a game would be starting soon. Chishiya was filling up his water bottle with fresh clean water because he wanted to be prepared for anything the Borderland would throw at him and Arisu. Arisu watched him with interest but cut himself off with a yawn. Arisu heard a small chuckle come from the small male. Chishiya stood up and grabbed a little bag and placed some snacks, the taser for Usagi, the water bottle, some bandages and other useful things into it and placed it over his shoulder.
“We should start walking around, we don't know where the next game venue will be, it might take a while to get there and we are far from town.” Arisu watched as Chishiya started to leave their little campsite, he quickly ran after the man not wanting to be left behind.
“Chishiya! Can’t we just rest? We still have time on our visas! Wait how long do you have left?” Arisu rambled on and on. Chishiya pulled a notebook out of the bag and looked at his visa.
“So I have, 5 days and you have 14 days. I don't want to worry about our visas becoming very low before getting any information, then we have a while to watch other games at try and notice anything weird,” Chishiya stated.

The two walked in comfortable silence as they came across a game centre in a tunnel. “This is a weird game venue? Have you seen any places like this?” Arisu looked down at the shorter male, asking him with a stupid puzzled look.
“My first game was in an elementary school’s backfield and my second was at another school,” Chishiya spoke softly to the gamer as they both walked into the tunnel. When they entered the tunnel they saw a bus. Entering the bus they saw a group of 4 men, one of them had a bandage wrapped around his foot. ‘He would die if this was a spades game.’ Chishiya kept that thought to himself, thinking the 4 men were friends. They grabbed a phone each and the game started.
