Peter & Michelle
When Michelle woke up the next day, she would have lied if she had said she didn't feel a little broken after a night on the couch. Probably even the most expensive couch can't match the bed. She looked around sleepily in the empty living room, which looked like a Christmas paradise after their work yesterday. She had to brag that even when they didn't decorate too much at home, she did an excellent job.
"Friday told me you were awake," said with a smile Peter, who suddenly sat down next to her and of course didn't forget to kiss her forehead. "Dad made breakfast, will you join? I also have your favorite tea," he continued, and MJ decided that he must have been awake for quite some time, otherwise, it was not possible for him to have that much energy.
She could only nod before following him into the kitchen. She had never been too much for any romantic gestures, but it warmed her heart that he not only remembered her favorite tea but even bought it so he could make it for her when she was here.
"Good morning, Michelle," Tony greeted her with a small smile as she entered the kitchen. "You did a great job yesterday, but I'm not too pleased to have another lunatic for Christmas in the family," he grinned and drank his black coffee.
MJ was stopped by several things. At first, she didn't understand why he was wearing a suit when it was Saturday and they were having breakfast. Second, she was taken aback by the ease with which he spoke of her as a family member. They were fine with Peter, but Michelle wasn't a girl who naively thought she would be with her high school boyfriend forever. They were fifteen, for Christ! "Why are you wearing a suit?" Curiosity won. Tony Stark may have seemed to the public to wear his expensive clothes even at home, but she wasn't here for the first time, so she already knew that Tony wore home clothes like other people.
"Don't even ask, I have to go to the pre-Christmas board meeting, boring," he scoffed in disgust.
"But it's Saturday," she said uncomprehendingly, and with a grateful smile, she took the tea from Peter. He then sat down next to her and handed her an empty plate that lay beside a tray full of scrambled eggs and bacon. MJ usually chose a lighter breakfast, but yesterday they were so passionate about decorating that they didn't eat much and she was very hungry.
"That doesn't matter to them. They're too busy during the week," he muttered, staring at his watch. "I should go if I want to make it, which of course I don't want to, but I don't want to upset Pepper, so I'll even be there even sooner," he informed them, finished his now cold coffee, and left to say goodbye to Pepper before leaving for Stark Industries.
"How did you sleep?" Peter asked as they were left alone in the kitchen.
"It worked, but I slept in more comfortable places," she grinned.
“The couch is very comfortable, but the bed is still the bed. But you two are still young, certainly, one night won't make you bad," laughed the incoming Pepper. "Good morning," she greeted them, kissing Peter on his cheek as usual. She didn't think too much when she kissed Michelle on the cheek too.
But MJ thought about it, a lot. Not that it was bad, it just surprised her how she felt at home with them after all. As if she were part of their family. It was nice.
"What are your plans for today?" She asked as she sat down with a cup of green tea and a small cup of coffee. After all, she needed a little kick in the morning.
"It occurred to me that we could bake gingerbread. Just imagine the smell of cinnamon everywhere,” Peter replied with pleasure. He couldn't help it. Christmas was simply his favorite time. "Will you join?"
"With pleasure. Michelle, don't you have to go home?” She asked, as a responsible parent, for it was clear to her that her son certainly hadn't taken that fact into account.
And to be honest, even the brunette didn't think of such a thing. She didn't want to go anywhere. Definitely not home. Baking the gingerbread didn't sound like something she wanted to do, but she was sure she could do it if it meant she could stay here with them longer. "I don't have to," she said with a warm smile. On the one hand, she was annoyed by how all the Starks had aroused her emotions, but on the other hand, she would have lied if she had said she didn't like time with them. She liked it. Maybe too much.
"Great! By the way, I'm excited about how you decorated the living room. Don't you want to do the rest of the house? I'd love to join you. What's more, I'm looking forward to Tony's expression when he finds out that even his beloved workshop hasn't escaped Christmas decorations," Pepper grinned.
Needless to say, both teenagers agreed.
