Peter & Michelle
"Do you really not mind? I know your thought about the date was different," Peter said, apologizing for the 100th time that day. Because he still was grounded, he had to invite MJ to his home so Pepper and Tony could be sure he is with Michelle all the time and wouldn't run after some bad guy how it happened last time. MJ, who was a little taken aback at the time, just laughed at it now, and sometimes she wanted Peter to tell her some of his Spider-Man stories when he finally admitted that he lived a double life.
"I've told you several times today, should I tell it again? No, I do not mind. Look how it's outside," she said as they took a break from decorating the huge Christmas tree and walked over to a window with a beautiful view. It was cloudy outside, it was snowing heavily, and the Christmas lights and decorations on the houses flashed. She didn't care so much about Christmas was, it was a day like any other for her, but she enjoyed watching the decorated streets and sitting at home wrapped in a blanket and reading a thick book while it was snowing outside.
"This is the weather when you wouldn't even take the dog out. I think we're better off here than stumbling somewhere with snow and brown slush," she told him with her typical grin, warming her cold hands with a mug of hot chocolate that Peter was almost famous for. She sipped contentedly from the drink as she watched the flood of snowflakes fly around and cling to the window, only to melt. "At least it's warm here, pleasantly, we can drink your great hot chocolate and decorate your house."
"If I knew this was your perfect thought of a date..." Peter chuckled, hanging the last ornament on the tree. This year, they had made it silver and dark purple, and when Peter stepped down to inspect their masterpiece, he had to admit that they had succeeded. However, most of the credit went to MJ, who had a greater aesthetic sense and attention to detail.
Various types of lights hung over the rest of the house. Peter knew his mother would like it, only Dad would probably go a little crazy because he never really understood this mania. But Peter loved Christmas, and to make it perfect, he had to have everything that was necessary to underline the atmosphere of Christmas.
"Friday? Please, blackout it and turn on the lights," Peter whispered, and Friday obeyed. She dimmed all the lights just to make the Christmas lights stand out. The room plunged into pleasant darkness, creating a better Christmas atmosphere. If their cinnamon scent wafted through the living room, it would be perfect.
He walked slowly to Michelle, who was still enjoying the view by the window. He crept up to her and hugged her around the waist. He laid his head on her shoulder and took a deep breath of her scent. Michelle leaned gently against him, covering his hands on her stomach with her own.
"I've had a great time with you today," he whispered in her ear, then kissed her on the cheek.
"Are you kicking me out already?" she teased him, as was her custom. But Peter hugged her even tighter to prove that he wanted the exact opposite.
"No, if you're not in a hurry home, I thought we might still watch a Christmas movie," he suggested.
"You mean some awfully romantic Christmas comedy that will make my teeth hurt and make me want to vomit?" she replied in a cheerful tone, but for a moment it upset Peter. "Just go do it, I can wait! What do you have to choose from?"
In the end, they watch Love Actually, because Peter had promised her a romantic comedy, and unfortunately Home Alone was only a comedy. He perceived Michelle's closeness rather than the plot of the film. They were half sitting and half lying side by side on the couch, Peter hugging her around the waist and pressing against her like a puppy in demand, and she stroked his hair as they curled up together under the blanket. The warmth, their intimacy, and their sense of security soon attracted sleep, so when Pepper and Tony returned home from dinner, they found them huddled together on the couch sleeping.
Pepper had to smile at them, softening. She managed to keep Tony from commenting on some funny note. She walked quietly over to them, adjusted their blankets, and then stroked their hair lovingly before she and Tony tiptoed into the bedroom.
