the quinjet
‘Web-head’ carried Peter onto the jet ‘spidey not leaving their side either. The two had barely spoken a word to him but they had a silent agreement that they would protect him, no matter what. They still weren't fully sure who the avengers were and what they could do, but the two wouldn't hesitate to fight them too.
The group walked with them, some carrying the restrained villains. The man in the red and gold suit flies down in front of the spider-men.
“Give me the kid, please. I'm still not fully convinced whether or not you are a threat.” It was clear that he wasn't asking.
His suit was damaged, he took a good few hits from the electricity guy, the man shocked him and the other guy in metal directly, rendering them both useless during the fight. It's surprising that he's currently functioning as normal.
The two boys looked at each other and ‘web-head’ adjusted his grip on Peter. While ‘spidey’ took a defensive step in front of the two, shoulders tensed and prepared for a fight.
The intense staredown felt like it would never end.
Until the other metal-covered man swoops down next to the group, with a slight clang. He set his armored hand on the other man's shoulder. “Come on Tones, they have the avengers to deal with if they even consider harming him.”
The first leads him to the jet, as the other two follow behind.
‘Spidey’ looks around, noticing that there seems to be a huge gap between the groups. Also sensing the obvious tension in the air. “Hey, is it just me or is there some underlying tension here.”
‘Web-head copies him before turning back to him. “Yeah definitely, I get the feeling that they were all meeting here, was not for a band recital.”
Spidey scoffed “Still a cool band name.”
They were going to be the last in the jet but two of the men stayed back and waited for the three to climb on before them. No doubt making sure they did not run off with the spider-man in their arms.
They climbed on and were shocked to see what's inside.
It looked way bigger on the inside, it was sleek and modern. There were seats lined across the wall and warm lights lining the roof. The entirety of the inside was a bland monotonous grey color, but despite the lame and frankly depressing interior decoration (or lack of), the ship was still one of the most incredible things they had ever seen.
The man stepped out of his strange iron suit. “Hey Friday, can you take out the cot and medical supplies.”
Before either of the spider-men could even ask questions the floor opened up and a medical cot emerged from the gap, once the bed reached waist height the floor neatly folded shut underneath it. The wall to its right opened up revealing a large dark red box with a white cross painted on it.
“Ok place him down.” The woman with the red hair was staring at them expectantly.
They were both reluctant to give him up, but they knew he was in good hands here and that he himself trusted these people.
Still, they were hesitant to put him down. They had both instantly become fiercely protective over him and each other since they first met, it was abnormal, to say the least. They had barely already had a full conversation with the boy yet it felt like they had known each other their whole lives.
After an embarrassingly long pause, Peter was set down gently on the soft pillory mattress. The two stuck by his side stubbornly as the others had to find a way to work around them.
After Peter was taken care of and everyone was assured that he was merely unconscious and perfectly healthy, the group moved on to the next important topic.
The group of villains that were knocked out in a corner secured with webs and swirling red mist.
“I have somewhere I planned to send them, it's an ancient ruin that is capable of confining them all and restricting their powers into small chambers until we are able to send them back where they belong.” Doctor Strange opened another of his orange glowy portal things to show a room of ancient ruins. The walls were stone, cracked, and withered from age. There were several pillars that created small cells where the villains would likely be held.
“And how do we know that we can trust you with them?” the man with the strange facial hair asked, (the one previously in the red and gold suit) looking around the room to see if anyone agreed with him, which most didn't. “How do we know you won't just set them free the second you are alone?”
“I can assure you those are not my intentions.” the wizard replied cooly clearly fed up with explaining his intentions.
“If it is any comfort, I will go with him and help supervise.” the red android thing said, it floated down from its place on a chair. The others seemed comforted by this, so this strange guy must be powerful.
"but vis how can you trust them." the other girl with the red hair wailed. "how can you trust him?"
"I don't understand trust and therefore I don't think I feel it for anyone."
The girl looked taken aback by this information but didn't comment any further.
"I've heard of him before." the guy with the shield commented from his seat. "you were one of the hydra targets, they believed you were a threat to them so you must be powerful."
"target?"
"they planned to take out anyone who was a threat, you were one of the few mentioned."
‘Web-head’ and ‘spidey’ looked at each other and then turned back watching the scene unfolding around them. They have no clue what is going on, but they are invested in the drama, they had many questions but felt like this very moment wasn't the best time.
The argument died down and the wizard, android, and the villains disappeared through the portal.
“What the fuck”
"thats never not going to be scary"
“Language!”
The two turn and playfully glared at the man in the blue red and white suit, they already feel comfortable around most of the people on the ship.
“Who are you anyways?”
“I’m Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America,” he replies in his righteous and proud tone.
“That explains the color scheme,” Spidey mutters
“Your shield, it only has one star. You're more like captain Puerto Rico.” web-head remarked.
The two snickered and others joined in on the laughter, which turned into casual conversation, the tension temporarily forgotten.

The first thing Peter notices when he wakes up is the smell. It's that distinct smell that every hospital has, the sterile clinical smell of strong antibacterial cleaning supplies, the type that makes your nose feel like it's burning.
There is an infuriating repetitive beeping noise coming from something beside him.
‘That sounds like a heart monitor, am I in a hospital?!’
He opens his eyes and squints due to the blinding lights above him, that combined with the beeping of the machines, hushed voices, and too many thundering heartbeats was incredibly irritating for his enhanced senses.
‘WAIT shit no no-no-no. do they know that I'm enhanced! Will they experiment on me!’
He sits up rapidly, throws the blankets off of him, and tries to climb out of the bed.
He heard someone rushing over and gently pushing him back down. Someone appears at the other side and reassuringly grips his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze to help comfort him. He thrashes under his grip but eventually settles. His senses are telling him that he's in no danger, in fact, these presences feel reassuring.
“Hey, can we turn down the lights?” the guy holding his hand yells. He recognizes the voice immediately, he’s one of the other spider-men ‘I think his nickname was ‘spidey’.’ Peter could sense the lights dimming and finally opens his eyes.
He’s relieved to find that his mask is still on his face and that the other two spider-men have remained stubbornly by his side. It's reassuring. He looks around and sees that all of the quiet conversations around have ended, they are all staring at him curiously.
“How are you feeling kid?” Mr Stark asked, Peer was surprised that he genuinely seemed concerned.
Peter cleared his throat “tired.”
“You were unconscious for 5 hours, kid. How are you still tired?”
Peter shrugged and settled back down.
“Get some rest, we'll land soon.”
Peter smiled under the mask and felt his eyes drooping again.
Letting sleep take over again.
