Nick waited a few beats after Peter left the room then looked at all of The Avengers..
"You know.. I thought better of all of you. That toddler in a onesie as you like to call him has done more for this city than any of you.. and he has seen and been through things no one one, especially a child, should have to see or go through .. You think he's had some unforgivable screw ups?.. Is that how you treated Wanda when she came back knowing what she did to a whole town for months?.. Or how you treated Yelena after she came after Clint and almost killed him?.. No.. you welcomed Yelena in as if she had always been a part of the team and even let go of all the bad things she did with no hard feelings and you welcomed Wanda right back into the fold with warmth and understanding and a barely there reprimand to not do it again.. Hell.. Tony.. you even eventually let Sergeant Barnes in.. not saying that what happened with Barnes was Barnes' fault especially considering he was under Mind Control . But the fact is.. Is you finally got it through your own thick head that the things Hydra made him do were not his fault .. Spider-Man has never done anything but try to help others.. he deserves not only your respect as fellow heroes.. but he also deserves to be treated better.. the way you just treated him was abusive and disrespectful.. he is Spider-Man but he is also a child and he doesn't deserve to be treated like dirt or talked down to like scum.. that kid is not a bad influence.. in fact your kids would be lucky to have someone so selfless and good as a role model.."
"I was told you were cold like ice.." Yelena said.. "Yet you seem to have a warm spot for the Spider-Child.."
"That's because the child deserves all the warmth from someone that he can get.. I could see it.. The boy has been through a lot horrible, dark things.. yet inside his soul is nothing but goodness and light.." Wanda said sadly.. "Director Fury does have a warm spot for the boy.. because the boy is too precious and good not to have earned it."
"It's soft spot.. not warm spot.. look.. if the kid is as good as you say.. I'll give him a chance.." Tony stated
"You say that like you think there was ever any other option.. Letting Peter live in the tower and be part of The Avengers of non-negotiable.. He is to be provided with all the luxuries and amenities as everyone else on The Team.. there are funds set aside for everything he could want and/or need and then some.. plus I have made arrangements for a private housekeeper, a private chef and several private tutors to help take care of his needs.. basically the only thing I expect you all to do is include him the same way you would any members of the team.. you are to include him for training, for missions and for team bonding during down time. Amd you're going to be nicer to him . Or so help me.. You will be booted out of The Avengers Initiative.."
