He had known cold and hunger before escaping Foster Care, he had known even more cold and hunger living on the streets the last two years.
But now it was messing with his Healing Factor and his superhuman strength way more than it ever had before.
There was multiple reasons. Spiders can't Thermalregulate therefore neither can he, he has a fast metabolism and his Healing Factor relies on him being able to eat regularly multiple times a day. The cold and the inability to eat enough to sustain his metabolism over multiple years before living on the streets and the two years after all combined meant Spider-Man's Healing Factor and superstrength were basically nonexistent.
And resting more to try to fully recover between patrols meant not patrolling two or three nights in a row and not patrolling for two or three nights in a row meant that anything bad that happened that he maybe could have stopped would definitely happen and be all his fault because he wasn't there to stop it.
He needed to get himself warm, fed, healthy again before something really bad happened and he had to live with even more deaths and even more failures to save people on his conscience.
He didn't really care about himself but Spider-Man couldn't save people if the person behind Spider-Man's mask died or became to weak and ill to save lives.
So..
With a heaviness of defeat in his soul he asked for help.
