Summary
This is the third in a series, following An Uncertain Future and Healing. The guys are on their way back to New York and Stark Tower. Although Yori Nakajima's death has cancelled the bounty on Bucky's head, he's still wanted by most law enforcement agencies on the planet.Steve, and the rest of the Avengers, are committed to bringing Bucky in from the cold. Bucky just knows that he needs to stop killing, whatever the cost to himself.

At Steve’s words, Bucky’s stomach clenched, the thought of what would happen if Hydra got their hands on him again making him feel sick.
“Hey, no.” Concerned, Steve grasped Bucky’s hand, tugged on it. “Buck, come on, lay down.”
Feeling shaky and uncertain, Bucky lay down beside him. “Stevie…”
“It’s okay.” Steve wrapped him in a hug. “It’ll be okay.”
After a few minutes the tension started to bleed away.
Bucky sighed. “I missed this,” he whispered. “Even when I didn’t remember, I missed it.”
Pleased, Steve chuckled, his fingers moving slowly through Bucky’s hair. “And you called me mushy.”
