Amazing friends
(at the compound) (same time as Peter and Tan in the shop) on camera.
*Bobby and Harley arrive at the compound and get welcome by the group of teenagers that is Shuri, Ned and Mj accompanied by Bucky*
*everyone gives each other a hug except for Bucky who kinda stays to the side*
Bobby: "so, Shuri, Ned, and Mj *pointing at the person as he says their names*
Harley: *pouts*
Bobby: "... and Harley"
Harley: "Ha! he said mine last, that means I'm the most important bitches!"
*Mj and Ned grumble and Shuri breathes in to make the perfect comeback but Bobby interrupts her, averting the attention to Bucky*
Bobby: "And you are James Buchanan Barnes..."
Bucky: *holds out his hand and Bobby shakes it* "Bucky"
Shuri: "He is here cause Stank doesn't trust us to be together and not make anything explode without a super-soldier around"
Bucky: *laughs* that and I want to help with the make Pete feel better project"
*They walk to Peter's and Harley's apartment which is a bit of a mess. There are lots of boxes and parts of half-built furniture everywhere and one wall seems to just have been painted but there is a plastic curtain hanging in front so they can't see what color*
Bobby: "Okay so Mr. Stark gave me a big box of spider-man fan mail that I thought we could hang up right there. I sent the team to get lunch for a couple of hours so we got the time.

*Ned, Mj, Shuri, and Bobby are reading and organizing the fan mail and stuff while Harley and Bucky have gone outside to cut the board to the right size to hang the fan mail on*
Bobby: "Okay so you are Peter's closest friends right? *the 3 nod* So how would you describe him using only one word?"
Mj: "an Idiot" *everyone cracks up*
Bobby: "care to elaborate?"
Mj: "He's just... He is an idiot in that he will think that loose fire is a good way to heat up his lab in the winter *Ned and Shuri laugh and nod (this actually happened)* even though he is absolutely one of the smartest people i have ever met. He is also an idiot in the sense that he thinks he isn't important. He literally let himself get beaten up every day at school because "He can take it and another might not" plus he wouldn't let us help him He has tons of people around him that care and he just... can't see that sometimes... and that sucks.``
Ned: "He slept on my floor for the better part of a year refusing any other help. He was genuinely terrified he would be too much "work" for us and we would just leave him alone.
Shuri: "Never" *mj nods*
Mj: "It was only when Harley talked to him that he would accept some of our old clothes and later even some money."
Bobby: "And Ned you've known Peter for how long now?"
Ned: "about 12 years now I think"
Bobby: "And was He always like this?"
Ned: "yeah pretty much. I mean as Mj said he let himself get bullied for years. When he came out to me when we were 11 he was a small ball of anxiety. To be honest I've never seen him completely let go of his anxiety. There always is something and that just sucks. It's also that most of his anxiety comes out as pleasing to people. Which isn't really a bad thing until it takes a toll on his own health. And that’s what it does a lot. Getting back to that one word thing. I think it would be generous. He always puts someone else's needs before his own. I mean he's spider-man for *bleep*'s sake.
Mj: "I became your friend when we were paired together at that chemistry project when we were 12, remember? *ned nods and smiles at the memory* I was so stressed because I was terrible at chemistry and I was paired with 2 literal geniuses but he just sat down and started explaining everything, acting like he was talking to himself. After that he invited me to May's to come and watch a movie with you. When I asked him about it a year later he just shrugged and told me that any decent human being would have done that.”
Bobby: "That's so sweet. And Shuri, what word would you use to describe him?"
Shuri: "A cinnamon roll. *Mj and Ned start laughing and Bobby looks confused*
Bobby: "what... what do you mean?"
Shuri: "It's just a way of saying he is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. He's sweet like a cinnamon roll. *Bobby now gets it* I would die for him if I needed to.
Ned: "That was literally one of the sappiest things I've ever heard you say."
(A/N: btw i know i haven't mentioned it but they've sorted through one big pile of fanmail during this conversations. 3 more to go.)
Timeskip so Bobby can finish up this conversation and go to where Bucky and Harley are, brought to you by Sydney <(@_@)> who is now planning revenge on her brother and Dee.
*Bobby, Harley and Bucky are standing outside. Bucky is putting away the sawing stuff and Harley and Bobby are standing at the big working table*
Bobby: "Okay so how long have you known Peter now?"
Harley: "since I was 15 and he was 14 soooo.... about 4 years I think"
Bobby: "And for how many of those have you been dating?"
Harley: "3 and a half"
Bobby: "So did you know he was trans when you met him?"
Harley: "Not when I met him but about 2 weeks after. He got busted patrolling with his binder on. It was a whole thing *you hear Bucky laugh in the background and Harley chuckles* I basically found out he was trans and spider-man at the same time so to be honest the trans thing kinda fell to the background."
Bobby: "yeah I can imagine that... You 2 were dating before everything with his aunt, right?"
Harley: "yeah. We talked about it quite a lot actually, him coming out. We knew she wasn't going to react very well but just... I had never imagined she would throw him out."
Bobby: “So how did you find out?”
Harley: “He sat me down and told me everything. And I mean Everything. What happened, his thoughts, his scars, the whole situation. It was one hell of a conversation.”
Bobby: “And what did you think?”
Harley: “At first I… I think I was angry. Not at him of course but just at the situation? If that makes sense? I don’t know, *He sniffles* I think my first thought was something along the lines of “what did I do wrong?” but I just pushed that away for the moment. I mean… Peter will always put other people before him and if I had said that I know he would have focussed solely on that and never have told me the rest. or at least not at that moment.”
Bobby: “But you blamed yourself?”
Harley: “yeah and no. I blamed myself for not seeing how bad it was”
Bucky: “that's on all of us kiddo”
Bobby: *smiles faintly and looks at Bucky* “I’m a bit confused by the time-line here. Were all the avengers aware that Peter was trans?”
Bucky: “Yeah, uhm Tony knew because he needed to do legal stuff to legitimize the internship and Peter, at the time, still had his deadname on his documents. He also told Tony that he wasn’t out to May yet so he never mentioned anything. I think Tony never realised that something happened because he thought Peter wasn’t out.”
Bobby: “And what about the rest of the avengers?”
Bucky: “I think Nat knew the minute she met him but he told the rest of us at his first movie night. Or well not as much as Tony ordered him to take off his binder. When he walked to the bathroom to do that Nat literally almost exploded telling Tony that it really wasn’t cool he outed Peter like that causing Tony to explain that the kid was just too scared to tell us right in our faces so they thought of this thing so he could let us know without Peter having to say a thing. When he came back we didn’t say anything but throughout the night we all showed him we didn’t mind and still loved him by thanking him for telling us and just not really acknowledging it except for when Thor gave him a hug and told him Loki is genderfluid.”
(*Harley has walked back upstairs at this point btw*)
Bobby: “That's nice. and how did you find out about the, uhm, whole May situation”
Bucky: “again Nat knew. And Clint and I were concerned when we saw his scars so we followed him home. Or to Ned’s because that’s where he slept. We then asked Nat for confirmation, which she gave us. She also gave us some instructions, which we followed.”
Bobby: “which were?”
Bucky: “We didn't tell him anything. We didn’t want to scare and embarrass him. Which ideally he wouldn’t have been if we confronted him but yeah… Anyways we just tried to make his life around here as easy as possible. We brought him food. Or made extra which we left in the fridge for him to eat. We also covered for him a couple of times. Oh and we went to talk to his aunt.”
Bobby: “Wait, you did what?!”
Bucky: “Yeah, Nat, Clint and I went to try and reason with her. I… It really did not go well so we never told Peter about it.”
*they stay silent for a minute*
Bobby: “Let's go back upstairs. *looks around* Hey where’s Harley?”
Someone behind the cameras: “he already went back.”
Bucky: “ah. Let’s follow him then.”
