2.0 The Bird Scene
Tori was holding all of her textbooks in her bag, looking around for someone to help her instead of setting the rest of her stuff down and putting her books in her locker a couple at a time. She looks up when she hears Robbie and Andre talking down the hall. She takes a second to look as helpless as possible as they walk around the corner.
"Hey, can you guys help me?"
They both drop their stuff and immediately take her bags from her and stuff them in her locker, completely missing the triumphant grin on her face that she gained two new 'friends' to help her with everything.
They soon start discussing her rather bland locker and what they did to their lockers.
Andre started playing the keyboard on his locker when Siva came up into the crowd and started dancing beautifully to the music. The crowd was inraptured by the performances, but it was cut short by the guidance counselor asking for Andre and Robbie's help with a squirrel. ((The song and dance here (https://youtu.be/c-tW0CkvdDI ) is what he did. I know it's not the same one from the show, but I don't really like that one, so yeah.))
With the moment over, she walked over to her locker and said out loud that she didn't know what to do with her locker, hoping Siva would hear and would show her his. Instead, it was SinJin Van Cleef who heard. Needless to say, Tori ran away from him before the teen could say anything.
Jade and Cat were doing a scene together in front of the class when Sikowitz threw a ball at Cats face. She fell with a yelp and Jade screamed at Sikowitz as she helped her girlfriend up from the floor.
"What?" Sikowitz asked, not seeing anything wrong with his actions.
"You hit me with a ball," Cat screamed as she held her face. Jade wrapped an arm around her as she stumbled when she got up.
"So? A truly great actor can stay in the scene no matter what is happening around her!"
"But it really hurt!"
The bell rang.
"Ooh, lunch!" Cat smiled as she walked off stage, leaving her girlfriend standing there shaking her head at the red-head with a small smile.
As everyone was walking out of the classroom, Andre asked Tori if she wanted to go to lunch with them. She was about to say yes when a ball came flying at her.
At lunch, Robbie, Andre, Beck and Siva were all sitting down at a table. Siva was cuddled into Beck's side, wearing jeans and a dark floral button up shirt underneath a pretty wine colored sweater.
"You know where I could buy a pair of ballet slippers?" Andre asked as he set his food down.
Siva immediately perked up.
"You go dance ballet?" He asked, his words getting jumbled up in his excitement.
"I think he has an ulterior motive, priya." Beck whispered to the boy.
Siva's face fell, but then scrunched up in confusion.
"Madam MakKi o'g'il va qizlarni ajratishini bilmaydilarmi?"
Beck shook his head but motioned for him to stay quiet about it. Siva giggled a bit into his sweater paws before turning to Andre.
"V Dance Store on S Robertson Blvd is where I go. It nice there." Siva nodded his head at the end before going back to his sandwich and chips.
"Do you mind if I sign up, too?" Robbie asked after figuring out the "benefits" of being in ballet.
"Sure. How about you two?"Andre asked the couple.
"I can't. I signed up for R&B this semester,"Beck answered.
"You in beginner class, I am in vasega maualuga," Siva answers with a bit of bite. He was upset that the only reason that they wanted to do ballet was because of the girls, not because of the strength and grace the genre combined.
Back in class, Sikowitz prompted the class with a drive-by exercise of being angry Englishmen.
The class was finishing that, when Tori walked in late, unnoticed by everyone.
"Now that we're loosened up, it's time for our newest student to tackle The Bird Scene!" Sikowitz said enthusiastically.
Tori gets up to the sound of applause, smiling to herself at their adoration of her, and walks to the stage.
Sikowitz claims that the stage was hers and she began the monologue in what was supposed to be a southern accent. She ended with her head down, waiting for the round of applause she had come to expect since she was little, but was met with silence. She looked up with a confused smile.
"How was that?" She asked.
"What do you mean?" Sikowitz asked as he drank from a coconut.
"Did I do it right?" She inquired, trying to play innocent.
"Nope, you'll have to do it again tomorrow."
Tori sighs, frustrated that the man wasn't just going to give her an A without her actually trying. She collapses in her chair, pouting as she once again doesn't participate in one of the exercises.
The group of friends walk down the hall, all talking to each other, when Tori comes up behind them yelling about how she couldn't do the scene right if no one would tell her what she did wrong. In reality, she just wanted to know who she had to manipulate so she could be the lead in the play. She tried to guilt them all by whining about how she thought they were her friends.
"I'm not your friend." Jade tells her as she gently tugs Beck and Siva over to the vending machine.
While Robbie, Cat, and Rex were in the middle of a conversation, Tori buts in again.
"Guys, my problem?" She waves her hands around and rolls her eyes as if it's obvious that her problems were a lot more important than anyone else's.
Beck speaks up as he and Jade wrap their arms around Siva's shoulders and middle and walk over to the drama queen.
"The number one rule of The Bird Scene is that no one is allowed to help you."
Tori sighed, frustrated that no one fell for her manipulations.
"So this is what you did to your locker?" Jade asked sarcastically.
The group falls into a conversation about her decision on a white board while Siva and Jade walk toward it and take a few of the markers. Siva starts drawing beautifully detailed flowers on the locker while Jade just write's the word ''stupid'' in red between the words "Tori's" and "locker." She caps the marker then picks you up, throws you over her shoulder, and walks away with you.
"Jade? Why upside down?" Siva asks as he lays listlessly across her shoulder.
"Because Tori was about to grab you inappropriately. I was capping the markers when I saw her hand reaching out to grab your bottom. Beck didn't notice, but I know Cat saw." Jade said gently to her fragile best friend, knowing that he's been molested before and the thought of being touched by someone intimately without his consent could throw him into an anxiety attack.
Siva whimpered into his sweater paws, shaking a little at the thought of being touched inappropriately by Tori.
"No let. Please, no let," Siva pleaded, his broken English even more jumbled together in his nervousness.
"Don't worry, Siv. I won't let her touch you. Cat, Beck, and I will make sure you won't ever be left alone with her.
Siva nodded hesitantly, laying back down over Jade's shoulder tiredly, the adrenaline leaving his system.
When Beck, Siva, Jade, and Cat walked into Sikowitz' class the next day, Tori and Robbie were already there to greet them.
"So, you ready?" Beck asked Tori as he wrapped an arm around Siva protectively. Just because Tori had a crush on Siva doesn't mean he has to be mean to her.
"Oh, I'm way past ready. Sikowitz wants The Bird Scene? I'm gonna give him The Bird Scene. I got props, I got a backdrop, and just to kiss up a little, I even got Sikowitz two large coconuts." Tori bragged as if being the teacher's pet and sucking up to her teacher would fix her failing grade.
"Those are good ones," Beck said sarcastically as he pointed at both of them.
Tori furrowed her eyebrows, hoping that Siva would approve of her plan, but he kept silent. She forcefully brightened her expression after a few seconds when she realized she was scowling. She wanted Siva to think that she was smart with her cunning plan and would complement her, but he completely ignored her.
"What's the deal with Sikowitz and coconuts?" Robbie asked as he kept eye contact with Tori.
"He says the milk gives him visions," Jade and Cat said insync before Jade led Cat to the seats they usually sit in.
The bell rang.
Sikowitz walks in and starts to speak only to duck as if he was avoiding something. He backs up onto the stage and then turns to his students.
"We have much to do today. But first, Tori, The Bird Scene." Sikowitz points to her as she jumps to her feet.
"I'm ready! But, first I would like you to have these two large coconuts," she says as she presents them to him.
Jade, Beck, and Cat all roll their eyes at her blatant attempt at bribery, baffled that she would be so obvious in her quest for favoritism. Siva, in his innocent mind, thought that she was just being nice to their favorite teacher.
As they watched the backdrop fall behind her and listened to her bad southern accent, they couldn't help but think that she was just as attention driven as her narcissistic sister. She just wasn't as open with her need for attention and ego inflation as her sister.
After she finished the scene she failed again. This made her frustrated that her bribery didn't work and she stomped back to her seat, angry not with herself, but with her teacher and everyone else who refused to tell her how to do the scene right.
Siva was walking through the hallway after school when Tori came up to him.
"Siva, you have to try these!" Tori exclaimed as she pulled out a questionable item.
"Handcuffs?" Siva questioned as Tori grabbed his wrist when he tried to back away, locked one cuff around it and the other on the stair railing.
Siva tried to take off the cuff, but his face was grabbed by Tori and something was stuffed in his mouth. As he chewed it, the food slowly started to burn his mouth and throat.
"What was that?!? It's burning my mouth!" Siva exclaimed after he spit it out.
"A Korean chili pepper..... Want some water?" Tori asked after a few seconds.
"Please!" Siva said as he tried to reach for the bottle.
"Tell me the secret to The Bird Scene." She said maniacally, backing away when he reached farther to get the water.
"I can't! Please I need water," Siva cried out, desperately trying to reach for the bottle when the heat in his mouth started to flare again.
Tori, frustrated that he wouldn't tell her, stormed off, leaving the poor boy handcuffed to a railing and a burning mouth.
Siva had just started to lose hope that no one else was at school and he would be there until morning when Cat walked by.
"Catarina!" He called out for her, pulling desperately on the handcuffs.
Cat turned around, only to see Siva handcuffed to the railing, tears in his innocent hazel eyes.
"Siva?" She exclaimed and ran to his side, trying to get the handcuffs off the poor boy.
"What happened?"
"Tori cuffed me and made me eat a hot pepper so I would tell her how to do V Bird Scene." Siva cried as Cat successfully unlocked the cuffs with her bobby pin.
"Well, come on, let's go get you some milk or tea." Cat said as she led the boy towards the exit.
"Wouldn't water work?" Siva questioned with a head tilt.
"No, water would make the burn feel even worse," Cat replied.
Siva stopped walking for a second, heartbreak clear in his eyes, tears falling down his face.
"What's wrong, Siv?" Cat questioned when she noticed he wasn't walking anymore.
"She offer water if tell," Siva whimpered.
Cat sighed then brought the sensitive boy into a hug.
"Come on, Beck's waiting on you. Do you want me to tell them what happened?" Cat asked as she gently guided the boy through the parking lot.
Siva shyly nodded.
The next day, Beck, who was assigned to befriend Tori, and Siva, who was always with Beck, walked over to the girls locker and asked what she was doing.
"Angrily shoving things in my locker, can't you tell?" Tori asked sarcastically.
Beck, trying to keep Tori from becoming angry, changes the topic at hand to her once again pathetically decorated locker.
"Have you figured out how you're gonna decorate it yet?" He asked, blatantly ignoring her lazy attempt at decoration.
"Yes, look, I put a stripe on it," Tori stresses as she points to it, just wanting people to accept her lazy decisions, even if they weren't the best ones.
"My question still stands," Beck looks pointedly at her.
Tori huffs angrily that no one is letting her take the easy way out here, then whines to her 'friend', "Well, I don't know what to do."
"Why don't you do something, you know, creative and deep?" Becks asks, thoroughly fed up with Tori's bullsh*t.
"What'd you do for yours?" Tori asks.
Beck then takes her to his transparent locker and explains the meaning behind it. Meanwhile, Siva just stands there awkwardly, playing with the hem of his rose colored sweater, the wine colored velvet collar of his button up and shoes popping against the light sweater, his skin, and his dark jeans. After the small conversation between Beck and Tori, Tori turns to the brunette and gives him a flirty (read: creepy) smile, twirling her hair and slowly stepping closer to the poor boy.
"How about yours, Siva?" Tori asked 'nicely.'
Embarrassed and scared of what she would do if he refused her, Siva gripped onto Beck's shirt and dragged him over to his locker. Beck wanted to see Siva's locker as well because he never followed him over to his locker, so he smiled and grabbed Siva's hand instead. Meanwhile, behind the couple, Tori scowled slightly at the sight of his dependence on Beck. She was going to be Siva's girlfriend whether he liked it or not.
They made it to the small row of lockers opposite Beck's. Siva pointed shyly to his locker and both Beck and tori couldn't help but be amazed at his locker. It was covered in elaborate monochrome flowers and a calendar took up the center of the locker. It really showed who Siva was: beautiful, yet practical.
"It's beautiful, babe," Beck smiled, giving Siva a side hug, then kissed his temple, "I'm so proud of you."
Siva smiled, happy that his boyfriend approved of his decision, and then kissed Beck happily.
Meanwhile, Tori was fuming. Not only did she have to watch them be all lovey dovey together, she also made a fool out of herself by thinking that Siva would approve of her lacklustre decorating skills when his skills were by far superior.
"Did you put those stickers on?" She asked, hoping he did; that definitely would salvedge some of her ego.
Siva turned to her, startled that she was still there from how quiet she was being, then smiled.
"No, I paint the flowers. I designed the calendar & made them stickers," Siva explained softly, his eyes sparkling with happiness over his creation.
Tori, frustrated that she couldn't compete with his art skills, stormed off in a huff.
Siva, confused by her reaction, looked up at Beck, furrowing his brows. Beck, seeing the teens expression, sighed then ruffled the teens curly locks, then led Siva to his next class: ballet.
Siva walked into the room for the beginner ballet class with Madame McKee, ready to see the expressions on his friends' faces. He was helping Madame McKee with the beginner's class because he was the top ballet dancer in the high school and Madame McKee wanted him to give a demonstration. When he walked in with her, he was immediately met with the confused and angry faces of Andre and Robbie. Siva started giggling incessantly when Madame McKee told them that she would give them a zero for the semester and how Andre repeated the number, mimicking her accent. This made both Andre and Robbie glare at him harshly, which immediately shut him up.
Then, suddenly, the door opened and Siva saw his partner for his demonstration, Marley, in the doorway. She started to apologize to both him and Madame McKee when she was suddenly trampled by all of the other boys in the classroom.
After Madame McKee shooed away all of the boys to the corners of the room, Siva and Marley started their duet.

Everyone was amazed, even Madame McKee. The two have actually been ballet partners for a very long time, and it definitely shows. The boys in the class were amazed at what Siva could do. They were in awe.
After class, Tori walked over to Robbie and started to flirt with him in hopes of him telling her how to get The Bird Scene right. However, with Rex's intervention, her plan was ruined.
Back in ballet class the next day, Marley was in the room with the beginner boys so they could be taught how to lift properly and so she could help weed out the weaker links with Madame McKee by judging their routines.
Andre and Robbie volunteered to go first, hoping to impress Marley with their "skills."
What ended up happening, however, was their groins aching when they hit each other on a jump.
Ow.
In Sikowitz' class, Siva giggled when he saw Andre and Robbie walking in weirdly, grumbling about ballet and stupid jumps. He snuggled closer to Beck then smiled up at the two.
"Always stretch before dance," Siva giggled out, causing Beck to chuckle, and the two to glare.
Tori started The Bird Scene again, for the third time, only this time, after she failed again, she "stood up for herself" and her scene. After she finished yelling at her teacher, everyone started clapping for her, albeit a bit begrudgingly in the cases of Cat, Jade, and Beck, but she passed, so applause was expected from everyone in the room.
After that, they did a drive-by acting exercise, assigned to be elderly people walking on broken glass, Tori finally joined in on an exercise as Beck and Siva held onto each other, Siva giggling quietly at his boyfriend. Anytime he said something, Beck would reply in an geriatric voice, "What? I can't hear you!" and then proceeded to move his ear closer to Siva's mouth.
After school, Tori showed everybody but Andre, Robbie, and Siva what "she" did to her locker. Everyone was confused at first, but when the lights were turned on, they were all amazed. They offered her praise for her creation and then left for their homes, leaving a smirking Tori.
Little did they know that it was actually Siva who made her locker for her after he was threatened by her to do it.
When Siva walked by her to meet up with Beck, Tori grabbed him and held him against the wall.
"I hope for your sake that you never tell anyone about this or our little 'conversations'," she threatened, making Siva whimper and try to lean away from her.
Then, she did the unexpected. She grabbed his hair, banged his head against the locker, then slammed her lips on his soft ones. He tried to push her away, but couldn't because of her tight grip on his hair. When she finally stopped, Siva was in tears. Tori rolled her eyes then left.
When Siva finally made it outside, he clung onto Beck with all of his might.
"She made me. Made me. Made me. I would never cheat on Beck. Never cheat. Never cheat," he repeated over and over into Beck's tear-soaked shoulder.
"What's wrong, priya?" Beck asked, worried.
"Tori threw me against locker then kissed. I not want it. Promise. Only you and Moose. Promise. Please, no mad. No mad," Siva rambled, his English butchered passed with no return.
Beck grew angry. His flower was assaulted by the girl he was assigned to befriend by the teacher. He held his little flower closer to him, and then began to comfort the terrified boy. After he calmed down, Beck asked Siva a question.
"Has she done anything else to you, phūla?"
Siva shyly nodded and proceeded to tell Beck everything. When everything was said and Siva calmed down again, Beck sighed.
"Well let's go home, priya. Do you wanna call Mūjha when we get home?" Beck smiled.
Siva stared up at him with sparkling eyes, then quickly nodded his head. He scampered into the car and buckled, staring at Beck again when he saw that Beck was still outside.
Beck chuckled, skating his head as he got in the car and drove him and his boyfriend home.
He fell hard.
