3.1 Stage Fighting

Tori walked into the Black Box Theatre only to see Siva and Beck fighting each other and a messy haired blonde standing at the side and watching, unbothered.

Tori, seeing an opportunity to get on Siva's good side, set her oversized brown purse down then ran at full speed onto the stage and jumped onto Beck's back, screaming and pulling at his hair. Siva immediately stopped fighting with his boyfriend and watched in horror as Beck was attacked by his obsessed stalker and bully.

The blonde man immediately got worried and started trying to pull the random girl off of his student.

"Get off of him!" He yelled as he pulled harder.

But she only held on tighter to her captive, pulling at his hair roughly. Siva, coming out of his shock, ran to get an authority figure Tori would actually listen to.

A minute later, and Siva comes back with Lane hot on his tail.

"Tori, what are you doing!?!" He asks, horrified that the girl was attacking a student as a teacher tried to pull her off.

She looked over at Lane, looking crazed with her wide eyes and knotted hair, "He was attacking Siva. I was saving him," she affirmed with a wide smile, waiting for him and everyone else to immediately start applauding at her brave and selfless act.

Beck, still trying to get the girl off his back, shouted, "No I wasn't! We were practicing!"

Tori, realising that she was making a fool out of herself, slid down to the ground and stepped away, "Practicing what?"

The teacher stepped in to answer, "Stage Fighting. This is Russ, a professional stuntman. I invited him here to teach everyone a bit about the technique. It's fake fighting that looks real, a good example of this is WWE wrestling. Siva and Beck both took a class with Russ last summer and were partners. Russ wanted to see if they were still up to his standards."

"Oh," Tori said in realization, then turned to Siva who was standing next to Jade, and started rubbing his arms, she put on a fake worried pout, "It looked like he was hurting you."

Siva shivered, creeped out by her presence, facial expressions, and touch. Jade, noticing her friend's distress, grabbed hold of the boy's trim waist and pulled him closer to her and his boyfriend. Beck and Jade both looked at Tori with dark looks.

"Why do you care?"Jade grumbled as she felt the tremors racking Siva's willowy frame.

Tori smirked, "Because I thought he goes through enough pain being around you."

"You wanna see pain?" Jade fumed as she handed Siva off to Beck and started approaching the smug brunette.

Beck, alarmed, handed Siva to his teacher and then held onto Jade so she wouldn't hurt the impertinent girl.

"Okay, let's go sit down and cool off," he proclaimed loudly, then he whispered to the girl, "If you hit her, when we file charges on her, she could file charges on you right back and make our case more weak. Think of revenge in the long run, not the short one."

Jade nodded then smirked at the thought of getting revenge on the creepy teen. Siva quickly walked over to the two, looking down as to not make eye contact with Tori, then sat down on Beck's lap, his face finding its way into the crook of his boyfriend's neck. Beck smiled and started rubbing his love's back, admiring the boy's choice in outfit for the day. The outfit consisted of a velvet blush colored button up shirt, a black wool overcoat, a wine red cashmere scarf, black denim jeans, and black high top converse.

"I like your outfit. Tamē sundara dēkhāśō, priyatama."

Siva blushed then replied, "Kiyiming menga ham yoqadi, kichkina tog'," He was referring to the charcoal grey t-shirt; yellow, black, and white button up; black jeans; and combat boots his boyfriend was wearing.

Later, after Russ demonstrated the importance of angles while stage fighting and brief stint of chaos about the stuntman's name, the teacher started calling out who was working in partners for a fight scene that was to be presented by Friday.

"The pairs will be Beck and Jade, Andre and Cat, Darren and Jess, Tori and Siva."

Jade immediately started protesting, not wanting her best friend to go through anymore pain.

"Wait! Siva doesn't deserve to have to deal with Tori. Let Jess and Siva switch!"

"I'm sorry, Jade. The decision has already been made."

Jade huffed and then shared a look with Beck.

Meanwhile, Tori crept closer to where Siva was waiting for his boyfriend and bestfriend.

"Hey, partner. I can't wait for our fight.....scene," She said menacingly adding the last bit as an afterthought.

Siva shivered nervously, picking at the end of his scarf in a nervous fuss. He couldn't wait until that girl was out of his life.

Later in the week, at lunch time, Tori was having lunch with Andre and Robbie while watching Siva, Beck, Jade, and Cat all have lunch together a few tables away. Tori was plotting a scheme. She was going to purposefully hit Siva when they did their scene and then say later that she was forced to by Beck and Jade, making Siva fall in love with her.

Andre and Robbie were having their own conversation, completely ignoring the girl who was sighing and huffing every few seconds.

When it came time for the stage fighting performances on Friday, Siva was nervous. He just knew that something was going to go wrong. He dressed in a black sweater that had roomy sleeves and a slight turtleneck design with high waisted straight legged khaki pants with his red velvet converses with ribbons for ties.

When it was their turn to go, Tori started speaking, "For our scene, I'm going to be playing an old lady who is walking home from a bingo game."

Siva piped up, "And I play a mugger," he added shyly.

"Yes, a mugger. Who mugs me, without actually hurting me," she notifies, her tone clipped.

"If anything goes wrong, just yell the safeword: Butternut," Russ informs.

"Okay, guys, ready? And...... Action!"

"Oh, I certainly did enjoy the bingo, although I do miss Bob Hope," Tori says in a geriatric voice, her back hunched over as she fakes walking with a short cane.

Siva runs over to her, and grabs her shoulders from behind, "Give me your money."

"What?!" Tori screams.

"I ain't playing, give me your money and your watch."

"Oh, wouldn't you rather have this?" Tori exclaims before taking her cane, stands up straight, then clobbers Siva over the head with it.

Siva fell with a loud bang.

When everyone sees that Siva isn't moving, the teacher, Russ, Beck, and Jade immediately run to the boy's side.

Beck tries to shake the boy, "Śivā, śuṁ khōṭuṁ chē, phūla? Kyāṁ duḥkha thāya chē?"

Siva groaned, "Boshim..... Boshim aylanyapti....."

Beck paled, then looked up to the teachers, "you should call an ambulance."

The teachers hesitated.

Then Siva started coughing, blood splattering onto the floor with each cough.

"NOW!!" Jade and Beck screamed simultaneously.

The teacher immediately got his phone out and started dialing 911.

"911, what's your emergency?"

"One of my students was bashed over the head with a cane. He's coughing up blood."

"Was the cane wood or metal, sir?"

"It was wood."

"Okay that's promising. Where are you sir? We are sending EMS."

"Hollywood Arts High School in the Black Box theatre."

"Alright, sir. EMS will be there in 4 minutes, sir."

"Thank you," he exclaimed then slammed his phone shut.

He looked back over at the teen. Siva was on his side, Beck cradling the uninjured side of his head, leaving the wound exposed. The entire left side of his face was covered in trailing black, purple, and blue bruises. Blood was running down his nose and mouth. The boy was wheezing when he breathed in. He was pale, sweaty, and shaky.

Russ was trying to help in any way he could. Because of his job, he was required to know the basics of first aid. He was checking over the bruises to make sure nothing was wrong, and showed Beck how to help with the nose bleed, all the while coaching the boy's breathing.

Jade was screaming at Tori while being held back by Andre. Quite frankly, Andre wanted to 'lose his grip' on the girl and let Jade beat up Tori. He just kept repeating in his mind, 'Stick to the plan. Stick to the plan.'

Cat was crying into her stuffed animal, trying her hardest to hold it together.

After a minute, she realized she couldn't hear Jade screaming at Tori anymore. Cat looked up and there was her girlfriend. Cat smiled slightly, wiped her eyes, then held out her arms for a cuddle.

Her girlfriend happily obliged.

Siva........Siva was trying with all of his might to keep his eyes open. But his head was so fuzzy, that it was hard to keep his eyes open. It felt like someone was sitting on his chest. All he could hear was a loud ringing noise and faint whispers in the background. He started seeing small black dots dance across his vision, making his headache worsen. The dots started multiplying, blurring his vision as the dizziness intensified. He couldn't take it anymore and started closing his blurry eyes, hearing the faint whispers grow more and more frantic as his eyes closed. When he fully shut his eyes, he immediately lost consciousness.

Later, at the hospital, Beck and all of his friends are in the waiting room, standing by for his prognosis and diagnosis.

After 2 more hours of waiting, the doctor finally comes back.

"Siva K. Allen?"

They all stood and walked over to the tired man.

"Mr. Allen has experienced a traumatic brain injury. We have not been able to identify the severity of it yet, but his prognosis isn't good. His symptoms could vary from headaches, vomiting, nausea, loss of consciousness, problems with sleep, dizziness, sensitivity to light or sound, mood changes, depression, anxiety, ringing in the ears, the loss of smell, or blurred vision to long losses of consciousness, persistent headache or migraine, seizures, repeated vomiting, clear fluid draining from eyes or nose, pupil dilation irregularities, loss of coordination, body weakness, confusion and unusual behavior.

"His throat was a bit damaged, that was why he was coughing up blood. His airways aren't in the best condition right now so he is going to be on oxygen for a while. He'll also need to wear a specialized bracelet so others are aware of his condition and that will have all of his symptoms on there as well.

"You need to think about getting him a service animal. He's going to be very sensitive for a while. We are going to keep him here for about a week and a half for observation and a few tests. You may go back and see him if you wish, but only a few people at a time."

They thanked the doctor and Beck relayed the information to his parents who were out of town on business. They all decided that it would be Beck and Jade who would go in first.

To this day, they still wish they never set foot in that room.
