No one deserves to be alone

Nobody had seen Druig in decades, if not centuries. He was alone, out there somewhere. Sprite had a sneaking suspicion that Makkari had already found him and was simply respecting his wishes. But darn him and his wishes.

As she trudged through the forest, the only thing on her mind was what she would say once she found the elusive mind-controlling Eternal. Whether to be mad at him or apologize for not seeking him out sooner. Her feet dragged across the forest floor. Cuts and scratches spread out all over her body. None of them were lethal of course; she knew better. But even as an Eternal, her body still had her limits.

As she caught sight of the village and the people roaming around, she quickened her steps. Her breath running more ragged, and her body movements stiffer. Eyes kept watch on her as she walked up the building in the middle of the village, she was certain that her Eternal brother colleague was there. She managed to bring herself up to the doors with only stumbling once or twice. When she raised her hands to knock, the doors were pulled open from the inside. Shocked, she looked up and was faced with angered eyes – she expected that – which swiftly turned into unexpected concern. The creases in the corner of his eyes showed slight panic that didn't suit his stoic self.

Her energy was spent on the journey, and her mind was unsure of why she went there in the first place, only that she needed to find him. He was alone.

“Found you.” She weakly uttered before slumping into readied arms and her eyes fluttered close.
