Third Times the Charm
After your fight with Mammon ytou followed him to his room so you could make yourself comfortable in his bed. He would never admit it but he had some of the softest and coziest blankets in the Hous of Lamentation. It was probably because he spent so much on them. You would never rat him out, Especially since Belphie would then try and steal them from him. "Good night Baba" He had given you a pacifier of his own desgin it was black and gold with a jewled grimm symbol. "Good night Kiddo" When he was sure you were asleep "Love ya kidd I'm glad it was you I got stuck with" he gently kissed your forehead not noticing the shit eating grin on your face. "I love you too Mammon" was the only thing you said to him before falling alseep for real.
You woke up the next morning with a surprisingly clear head. You looked down at your hands "Fuck really I thought it would wear off by now. I will kill that over zealous magician" That is what woke Mammon "Im guessin ya are still the size of a Little D?" Repeadetdly you punch him in the shoulder but it was like hiotting a brick wall all it did was make him laugh at you "That all ya got squirt if you want to do any damage ya are gonna have to try harder" he teased which caused you to jut out your bottom lip and pout at him "Your just a big ole bully" you squirmed out of his arms to slide of his bed only to be yanked back "Listen about yesterday...." your turned around and covered his mouth "I will not make you say it again.. I remeber and thank you. You have no idea what it means I appreciate it so much" Mammons eyes widened most people would be recording his apology for Blackmail but not you. "I'm just sorry I let itr slip about goldie" he shrugged waving it off " He would have found out eventually I'm just going to avoidf him today. Maytbe bride the witches to hide me for a bit" you laughed knowing that absolutely would not work especially since that would be the first place Lucifer would look. But you wished him the best if any one could do it Mammon could.
"Did he tell you what time Lord Diavolo was coming today?" He pulled out his D.D.D and scrolled through his group chat with his brothers looking for the messages "Ummmm Lucifer said he will be here around lunch or a little before. Apparently he is very excited to see ya" you burried your face in his chest trying to hide your embaressement but Mammon was smarter then that "Listen ya don't have to do all this if ya don't wanna. WE just worry about ya, You look so much happier then I've seen ya the last few weeks"
You couldn't disagree with him the negative thoughts were not as present and you felt like a weight had been lifted off your chest. Most importantly that ever present impending feeling of dread was completely gone. "So are ya gonna be our little angel today?" he asked dragging you from your thoughts. "mmhmm" you nodded wrapping your arms around his neck "Can I have one of your sweaters?" you knew you would have to get into clothes that fit better later but you wanted to be in something comfortable. "Of course ya can" He looked around his bed for the one he was wearing last night. Once he found it he slipped it over your head "See all cozy now" You burried your nose in the neck of the hoodie. It smelled so good, a woodsy smell. It reminded you of a Forest after a rain storm.
"There's my number one girl! Come on I know your hungry and I bought you overly sugaryt cereal just for this occassion" he gently held you in his arms as he made his way over to the kitchen "I'm the only girl baba" Mammon smiled before gently placing you on the counter "Doesn't mean ya still can't be my favorite" you blushed looking down at the floor swinging your feet as they dangled off the counter.
As he started to pour your cereal you looked up at him "Baba can has a juice peas?" He luckily had found your cup anbd had it filled. You took it from him happily "Tanks Baba" he smiled at you so calm he hated that Lord Diavolo was going to come in and ruin it "Come on lets go eat" He put you on the floor and watched you run out into the dining room as he carried all the stuff.
"Tank you for the food" you smiled digging into your bowl before Mammon even had the chance to sit down.
Turns out Asmo was busy and could not help you get ready so it was on Mammon to assist. He found some jean shorts that he didn't think were too short, a yellow shirt with some Disney character on it. You just had to make it complicated you refused shoes, every single pair he tried you flat out refused to even look at. So he finally caved and let you run around in socks and his hoodie which you also would not give up. You still had your pacifier from last night so he ensure you got that back. Each of the brother had there own pacifier that they gave you one that very clearly showed who you were with.
You were happily playing on the floor watching a movie about a girl who wants to go into the ocean? and she has a chicken and a pig" He would trully never understand humans and he was not sure he wanted to either if this was how they entertained there spawns. "Hey Little one" you managed to look away from your movie long enough to smile at him and appreicate his much more casual sunday outfit. "Hey Papa" you mumbled from behind your pacifier
"You think your ready for some company?" that got your full attention if yoiu said No did it acctually matter. Lucifer had already said you didn't get much of a say in this. "Is Dia here?" Lucifer frowned seeing how unhappy you were about the situation you were less then thrilled and it showed. "Yes, Lord Diavolo is just out side" he explained gently correcting you "Barbatois is here as well" you tried to reign in your excitement becuase you knew Barbatos had sweets with him he had too. Lucifer gently cupped your face between his hands "This is what's best for you. He will be the next Demon King we can not keep secrets from him. especially since he took responsibility for your safety upon coming here" you shrugged alot of it going over your head. The only thing you caught was you were right you had no choice in this situation
You fidgeted wuth the blocks in your hand and cintemplated hitting him in the head with it, call it Satan's influence. You felt a gentle hand on your shoulder "Don't worry Kiddo it'll be okay" you looked between the two eldest brothers and sighed they didn't understand. Maybe you could make a run for it? It had not been very succesful up till now but you know what they say third times the charm. This had to work...
You managed to slip out of Lucifers hands and beelined out of the common area and to the stairs. You would defintely be able to hide with Levi and watch anime all day. Just your lucked as you were about to head for the stairs you collided with something solid. You rubbed your nose and looked up seeing red hair "Crap" Just your luck so much for that plan. "Y/N language!"
Diavolo laughed as he watched you stumble backwards it was clearly your intention to run away from him. "Well I was expecting something but It most definitely was not this" Barbatos was quick to help you to your feet, he briefly looked you over for injury and was satisfied when he found none "Sorry Lord Diavolo we had made her aware of the situation I am not sure why she ran"
Diavolo cut Lucifer off with a wave of his hand "Neither of us can imagine what is going on inside of her head. Or fathom the depths of her emotions I take no offense. I am just glad she did not injure herself.. as she is quite a bit smaller then last I saw her" Lucifer nodded happy that Diavolo was not offened by your actions "That was a gift" emphasis on the word gift "From Solomon I currently have been unable to reverse it and since she does not wish to see him my hands are tied"
You huffed in annoyance how dare he talk about you like you weren't even here. "Papas a big old dummy tattletale" Lucifer gaped at your words. But it was enough to the ever stotic Barbatos to laugh. Wait till he heard your nick name for him he won't be laughing then will he. Lucifer was just about to say aomething to you when he was cut off a second time. This time it was not words but laughte, on that was boistorous, jovial and full of life. It was unfamilar coming out of Diavolo mouth. "Well I can not argue with her. You did tattle on her" you looked up at him happily you understood him.
"I personally can not say whether ir not you are a dummy what ever that is. But big old and tattle tale are fairly accurate" you launched yourself at the future Demon King smiling widely "Now that's much beter. That was the greeting I had intially hoped for." Diavolo happily returned your hug. Lucifer was at a loss for words in second you had turned his Lords against him. Mammon was just secretly recording this to sell to Satan later, plus there was no way anyone would believe him .
Barbatos shook his head dissapprovingly "My lord you must not undermine the brothers while they are taking acre of her. It could potentially cause issues after we leave" you rolled your eyes and blew raspberries at him over his shoulder. "Well she has made her opinion on the matter very clear" that only made you smile becuase he gets it he was not made, frustrated he just listened and that is more then you could have ever asked for. "Barbatos please do not spoil my fun you never allow kids around this is the closest I will get. I get to be Uncle Dia today.. right short stack" you nodded happily "Yes, Uncle Dia and Barbie play date" That caused Barbatos to choke "I think that is absolutely perfect I love it."
