Divine reunion
Once Gwyndolin fell asleep, Alwyn tucked him safely into a spare bed he had found. Alwyn then began to, notice, something. Alwyn could see Gwyndolin's soul. Alwyn was caught off guard by this newly realized ability, but then he noticed something peculiar about Gwyndolin's soul, it appeared to have traces of dark within it.
At first concern began to swell within Alwyn as he saw this, but it began to turn to intrigue as he noticed that it didn't appear to be corruption. Gwyndolin's soul seemed to be mostly in harmony with the dark that was within it. This would explain Gwyndolin's adeptness at sorcery, his soul looked like that of a sorcerer's.
In said soul however, Alwyn began to notice a longing beginning to swell, accompanied by worry. Alwyn presumed Gwyndolin must be concerned about where Yorshka is, and so, Alwyn left the room and began searching Anor Londo.
At first, Alwyn's searches were coming up on dead end after dead end, but then, he tripped on the halfway staircase, and fell towards thin air, as Alwyn braced himself for a long fall, he found himself face-planting into an invisible bridge.
"An invisible bridge? Who did the Pontiff have alter this place, Seathe?!" Alwyn sighed, frustratedly, catching the attention of someone on the tower this bridge seemed to lead to. "Oh, hello over there. You wouldn't happen to know where Yorshka is would you? Gwyndolin seems to be awful concerned for her well-being, and as his first knight, it is my duty to ensure he sleeps well." Alwyn says, trying to make himself look regal and not like he just face-planted.
"I-if you are loyal to Gwyndolin t-than prove it, I do not wish to aid any of the Pontiff's lackies…" The apparently half-dragon woman said.
"Proof? Um, I have this ring I guess." Alwyn says, pulling it off his fingers and showing it to Yorshka.
Yorshka could hardly believe her eyes, that was a darkmoon seance ring, the ring of Gwyndolin's very first knights. "M-my apologies most venerable of knights, I-I had not known any of you were even still alive to this day! I am Yorshka, if it wouldn't trouble you, may I learn your name, oh venerable knight?"
Alwyn was taken aback by this, he hadn't heard himself referred to with such an admirable title before. "M-My name is Alwyn, I was your brother's very first knight."
Yorshka's jaw dropped when she heard that, this was Alwyn, this was the knight Gwyndolin had told her story after story about, of his trials and tribulations, of his feats as a Blade of the Darkmoon and as the Chosen Undead. "A-Alwyn, you're- Gwyndolin has told me so many stories about thee! It is an honor to meet you!" Yorshka says excitedly. "Um, if I may ask, how are thee, well, floating?"
"Illusory bridge, essentially there's an invisible bridge here for some reason, and I accidentally tripped onto it." Alwyn says, sighing.
"So Gwyndolin's stories about you being somewhat clumsy weren't exaggerated." Yorshka says, unable to help but let out a laugh.
Alwyn immediately knows what said story about his clumsiness would be. "H-hey! It isn't my fault the architects here made me have to essentially walk on scaffolding to get to the cathedral back then!" Alwyn says, a tone of embarrassment in his voice.
"Now that I am actually able to talk to thee, I had been meaning to ask about something Gwyndolin accidentally blurted out about you a few times, what did he mean when he described you as 'hot as the first flame itself'?" Yorshka asked, innocently.
This innocent question combined with what she had just said, caused Alwyn to blush hard underneath his helmet. "G-Gwyndolin said that about me? I-I am flattered by his remark, I um, oh wait you were asking what that meant!" Alwyn cleared his throat as he composes himself. "Essentially that means Gwyndolin finds me very attractive."
Yorshka seemed to nod in understanding. "Ok, I suppose that would make sense, I was more so confused by it because he had also told me that thee were a pyromancer, so I was wondering if it had been related to pyromancy in some way…" Yorshka then clears her own throat as she prepares to ask another question. "Say, you said that Gwyndolin was worried about me, is he alright? The last I had seen him he was so sick he could barely even breath, and that was before the Pontiff locked me and him away in separate prisons."
"Gwyndolin is fine, for the most part, the Pontiff had poisoned him, so all I had to do in order to relieve it was to give him some purple moss clumps. Though, he is still extremely worn out from how the poison had weakened him, so he is currently sleeping. I am certain once he sees you are safe and sound he will be most overjoyed, so, care to let me carry you across this bridge?" Alwyn says as he offers his hand to Yorshka.
"O-ok, just, please be careful S-Sir Alwyn." Yorshka says as she takes Alwyn's hand, Alwyn then carefully yet quickly walks her across the invisible bridge back to the halfway tower, the speed at which he walked startling Yorshka, whose feet were still uneasy on the invisible platform. Once across the bridge, and back onto the safe ground on the rotating lift, Yorshka cannot help but give a deep sigh of relief over being able to see actual ground she was stepping on. "T-that was not fun, h-how did you not seem panicked at all by walking on that invisible bridge?"
"I've kinda grown desensitized to panic, not much really scares me anymore after having to deal with literally burning alive for several centuries." Alwyn says, only realizing how dark his statement was when he saw the look of horror and pity on Yorshka's face. "Apologies, I guess it also desensitized me to how grim a fate it was, no need to pity me, Lady Yorshka. L-lets just get you back to Gwyndolin."
Alwyn leads Yorshka to the area Gwyndolin had been resting, only to find Gwyndolin awake and seemingly looking for something.
"Um, Lord Gwyndolin, is everything alright?" Alwyn says, his sudden speaking startling Gwyndolin to the point he falls over backwards.
"A-ah Alwyn! Y-yes everything is alright I was just-" Gwyndolin interrupts himself as he sees Yorshka, and immediately rushes over and hugs her. "Yorshka! Oh thank Gwyn, you're safe, are you alright? I swear on father's name if the Pontiff poisoned you like he had me-"
"I am fine dear brother, I am just glad to see that you have recovered from your ailment, also, Sir Alwyn is no less clumsy than you had told me. He had found me by tripping and discovering an invisible bridge!" Yorshka said, unable to keep herself from laughing as she told Gwyndolin of how Alwyn discovered her.
"Also, Yorshka told me a little something you blurted out while describing me at numerous times, what was it, calling me, and I quote, hot as the first flame itself?~" Alwyn said teasingly at Gwyndolin, causing Gwyndolin to blush red as blood. "You're blushing, my lord."
Gwyndolin tries to hide how flustered he is by covering his face with his hands, as he tried to compose himself. Instead, this causes Gwyndolin to look even more flustered, which Alwyn takes note of as he then picks up Gwyndolin into a bridal carry, causing Gwyndolin to let out a flustered squeal. "A-Alwyn w-wait, t-to much affection at once, my heart feels like it's going to explode!"
Alwyn, sighs as he sets Gwyndolin back onto the bed. "I hadn't really expected thee to be attracted to me in such a way, after all, I don't think you've even seen me without my helmet." Alwyn says as he lets out a laugh. "It looked like you were looking for something when me and Yorshka got here, would you like some help looking for it?" Alwyn asked.
Gwyndolin seemed to blush a bit less, but this statement seemed to fluster him. "N-no! I-I had been looking for something t-that was meant to be a gift for thee, I had had the giant blacksmith build it long ago, but on the day he had finished building it was the day that you, well, kindled the first flame." Gwyndolin said, his voice going quiet towards the end.
"A gift for me? And built by that old giant…" alwyn spoke, his voice beginning to grow flustered. "W-wait, don't tell me you had made me a proposal sword, oh my Gwyn you did didn't you?" Alwyn said, as he felt his heart begin to race.
Gwyndolin and Yorshka looked in awe at the now flustered Alwyn, who had become so flustered he fell backwards into a wall, knocking down said smithed greatsword. Gwyndolin couldn't help but giggle at this. "W-well, it would seem thou hast found it, I hadn't yet decided on whether I wanted to give it to you as a proposal or just as a normal gift, however, i-if you do wish for it to b-be such I-I wouldn't complain. Though I will say, it would probably be some time until we could have a wedding ceremony." Gwyndolin spoke, his own voice quickly becoming just as flustered as Alwyn's.
Yorshka couldn't help but giggle to herself at the sight before her, at the two lovebirds seeming to be so infatuated with each other that they could hardly even look at each other without devolving quickly into a giggling, blushing mess. She had never seen Gwyndolin so visibly happy. It was a new sight for her, but one that warmed her heart.
Yorshka then decides to the leave the two to themselves, exiting the room and going to her own.
Once Yorshka leaves, Alwyn finally manages to compose himself enough to go over to Gwyndolin, as he then begins to speak. "S-since you do seem to wish to w-wed me, I suppose I should show thee my face." Alwyn says as he removes his helmet, revealing his face. Gwyndolin cannot help but feel his breath hitch as he sees Alwyn's face, seeing Alwyn's piercing-blue eyes, seeing Alwyn's long black hair which looked elegant in spite of how messy it was, seeing the few battle scars which decorated Alwyn's face. Alwyn looked even more handsome than Gwyndolin had imagined. Alwyn's eyes fierce yet also loving.
Gwyndolin then takes a deep breath. "I-I suppose it would only be f-fair for me to r-reveal my face to thee as well. I-I should tell thee, I hath not even revealed mine face to Yorshka, just so you know just how personal of a thing this is for me." Gwyndolin takes another deep breath as he begins to remove his golden crown which covered the upper part of his face. Alwyn's eyes went wide as he saw Gwyndolin's whole face for the first time. Gwyndolin's eyes golden and serpentlike, Gwyndolin's face looked beautiful, it took every ounce of control Alwyn had not to kiss Gwyndolin then and there, and even then, he felt his body begin to move over to Gwyndolin.
"M-My dear knight what are thee- mmh!" Gwyndolin is cut off my Alwyn's lips meeting his own, the moment Alwyn's lips make contact, Alwyn begins to pull away, clearly embarrassed by his own loss of control. Gwyndolin cannot help but let out a short, flustered gasp. "Thou, hath, kissed me? M-my knight I-I, I-I think thee just awakened something within me, I-I, my knight I-" Gwyndolin then cuts off his own sentence as he drops all inhibition and pulls Alwyn deep into a kiss, Gwyndolin had never even imagined something could feel this good, this fulfilling, and yet with each second of his lips being in contact with Alwyn's, he felt utter bliss. Eventually, Gwyndolin pulled away from the kiss so as to breathe, and couldn't help but laugh at his own loss of composure. "What hast thou done to me, my dear knight?~ I can feel mine composure unraveling at thy touch~" Gwyndolin pulls Alwyn into another kiss, Gwyndolin can feel Alwyn's hands exploring his form, Alwyn's mere touch is driving Gwyndolin mad as the two continue their kiss.
Finally, the two stop kissing, and look deep into each other's eyes, giggling like madmen as they laugh over how easily they made each other lose their composure, as Gwyndolin then leaned into Alwyn's embrace, cuddling his dear knight, and hopefully soon, his consort.
