Chapter 10
The sunset as Izuku went to his mothers grave. Flowers lay on there that he didn’t set. Izuku tilted his head out of curiosity, he ignored it then he set his attention to the open door of her cabin. Izuku had put a sign on the door that demanded it stay locked in case anyone who dare ignore the sign that asked them to not walk in at the beginning of the hill was disobeyed, this is private property after all.
He went up to the door and looked inside to see a black blob interrogating what Inkos last written words were.
Izuku webbed the creature's hand, it screeched in response to what he did. It looked at Izuku with its milky eyes. “Venom..” He scowled. Why the hell was the creature that killed his mom at their cabin? “Get out of here, NOW!“ Izuku yelled.
The creature was frozen, it wasn’t attacking, it was like he didn’t want to. It was almost like it was mourning until it screamed at Izuku and broke the table it was at, then it ran out of the house,
leaving black sludge on the papers it’s disgusting hands had touched. Izuku closed the door, he couldn’t stand not being able to walk in without her, hence why it was closed in the first place.
Night rang throughout his cold room. After Izuku visited Inkos grave he went home upset, since this was the case it was going to be a sleepless night. Crickets cried out to the dark endless sky. The stars peaked out to show off their use(less) light.
Izuku got up from his bed then walked to his window and shut it. Maybe he wasn't asleep because his room was too cold, that could be why but it was an odd observation since Izuku enjoyed it when his room was cold. When it was cold he wrapped himself up in blankets, thought for a bit, then dozed off.
He got back in bed but it was too hot this time. He groaned out of annoyance, looking like this was going to be an all nighter. He laid on his pillow while thinking of his day, he thought about why Venom was in his mothers cabin much less why that monster went to visit her grave as well as place flowers on it. That didn't make sense but it did.. Izuku is the only one who visits Inkos grave.
Izuku didn't buy any flowers and venom was the only thing there and venom looked sad and- "Deku! Breakfast is ready. Get up you lazy sack!" Bakugo yelled. Izuku blinked and tears fell down his cheeks. His eyes stung,his mouth was dry too.
He was trapped in his head for so long it had become morning. Izuku slowly rose from his bed, looking around his room like it was an unfamiliar, strange place. The smell of breakfast hit him so fast he almost choked on the smell. Albeit it helped his senses work again.
"Deku!" Bakugo yelled. Izuku couldn't utter a word, it hurt to try and open his mouth. He needed water, immediately. He ran out of his room, into the kitchen and turned the sink on, grabbing the faucet then he drank the water that it was pouring,water drenched his face. He put the faucet down and turned the water off, sure that was extra but he was in desperate need of water…
"Izuku?" He looked where his name was being called, his eyes were red due to the lack of sleep and his hair was soaked along with his face, clothes and even the floor also.. You.
"Y/N-..."
Izuku looked at the side of you to see Bakugo holding a phone up, snickering. "Thirsty?" He teased him. Midoriya ignored Bakugo and silently grabbed napkins to begin cleaning his mess. He was pretending you and Bakugo weren't there anymore. You sighed and started helping while Bakugo laughed his ass off while waddling away because he was roaring so hard.
You and Izuku quietly cleaned until you said something to break the ice. "Well, that was something. Does this happen a lot?" Izuku looked at you, confused. "No, it.. This is the first time this has happened."
You decided this was extremely awkward so you tried to add levity to Izuku's special charm… "I'm surprised you didn't spill tea this time." Izuku sighed. Your joke didn't work or so you thought, a little laugh broke through, Izuku laughed and you did too.
He smiled which made you smile too, "you should really go eat, hm?" Izuku nodded "I'll go eat, thank you for.. Helping me clean." "Yeah no problem" you nodded, you watched him walk off to the living room. You got up and put all the wet paper towels in the trash. Then you walked to the laundry room and put on some new clothes.
Ms Mitsuki is very kind to Deku and Bakugos friends, she makes sure everyone who comes over brings a bag of clothes. Their friends are always tricked by Mitsuki "she's so sweet, I wish I had a mom like yours, Bakugo." No, no you don't. It's uncanny how nice she is to complete strangers- friends than her 'own' children.
