'Follow your heart' all of a sudden?” "Mhm!" He said. Izuku walked into his room and stayed up all night thinking about that drawing. The next day, early in the morning he got back into his Spidey suit, swinging around the city before he went to visit Inkos grave.
“Hey stop him!“ An employee outside of their flower shop yelled. The person on the run wore a hoodie and the worker who yelled for assistance looked like she was bleeding, there was a blood stain on their apron, as well as dirt. Izuku secretly shot a web onto the person after attaching a tracker, he then dropped down to see if the victim was okay before chasing the bad guy. “Are you okay?” Izuku asked. “I’m fine, just go catch that person!” She pleaded.
“I’ll catch him, just let me web that up for you before I go… Mina.” He read her name tag. Mina sighed then she let him web up her injury. “Stay here, don’t move until the ambulance comes to assist you.”“thank you Spider-Man.” She smiled yet her grin was loopy because of all of the blood loss. Izuku nodded, then he swung away, heading to where the person was. His web lead him inside a parking garage, it seemed to be abandoned. A good spot for crimes or deals- hiding spots.
“I know you’re here.” Izuku called out. “If you haven’t figured it out yet, there’s a tracker.. His voice went low “on your butt…” He was embarrassed and tried to justify himself. “I promise you, I wasn’t aiming there, I was aiming for your back. Please just come out so I-“ a person ran past Izuku as fast as possible.
He chased after them, acknowledging that the person that ran past him was extremely short. He figured that he was chasing after a child who stabbed a woman. How couldn’t he had noticed this at the begining? He was so concerned about the bleeding person. This wasn’t the time to beat himself up, this was the time to capture the child.
Izuku decided to back off and make the kid think he has left when really he was just chilling on the roof. He had set little webs in dark spots to make the kid trip, and soon he heard a grunt, a little “ow” while the boy was getting up. He webbed his shoe and slowly sank down to the boy upside down while his web attached to the roof supported him. He pulled the boy's hoodie down, the poor thing looked terrified. “Please don’t hurt me Mr. Spider-Man- I’m a huge fan.” He cried. Izuku noticed something, it was the boy that drew the picture for you. “What’s your name?” Izuku asked with a gentle tone. “My name is Kota…” He choked out through his tears.
“Nice to meet you, Kota, I’m not going to hurt you or arrest you.” Izuku dropped down. “Y- you’re not?” Kota sniffed. “No, of course not.” Izuku reassured, “Now tell me, why did you stab that lady?” Kota looked at his shoes, messing with the web he got caught in. “I never meant to hurt her.. She scared me, I- I work for her and I was manning the cash register. I guess she thought I was stealing and she was yelling I got so overwhelmed and.. There was a knife right there I grabbed it and then next thing I know.. Blood.”
Izuku sighed “so it was all an accident?” Kota nodded. “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” Izuku hushed the boy while pulling him into a hug. “Don’t worry, do you have anywhere to go?” Kota shook his head, “no I'm an orphan that’s why I was working…” Izuku sighed. “I saw you, at the bank.” Kota looked at Spider-Man. “I was trying to make a withdrawal.. But since I am so young, I usually ask someone to help, there was someone there I asked before the attack.
“Y/N” he mumbled, Izuku took his mask off to show his mouth, and he smiled at Kota. “You’re a brave boy” he complimented, thank you for telling me everything. Go on, I’ll take care of things from here.” Izuku ripped the web off of his shoe and he ran off. Izuku swung off from the scene back to the flower shop.
When he arrived police surrounded the scene. “Excuse me officers” Izuku greeted. “Spider-Man! The girl said that you were after the culprit who stabbed her, did you catch him?” Izuku nodded “yes but I let him go, it wasn’t his fault. Please trust me, he is just a child.” The officer sighed. “Okay, we’ll trust you. Thank you Spider-Man.” Izuku swung away.
