"Okay I'm on the train now" I said through the phone to my boyfriend Matt who was currently on the other end. "How close are you?" Matt asked "About a mile or two out till the train stop near the apartment" I said glancing at the schedule on the wall. "Okay so I'll see you soon right?" Matt said hopefully on the other end, "Yes Matt you'll see me soon" I said laughing. "Okay then I guess you can hang up" He said, "Why can't you hang up?" I said back. "Cause I don't want to, you do" He said laughing. "Okay then i'm gonna hang up then, I love you Matt" I said waiting for him to say it back before hanging up,"Love you more y/n/n" He said before I hung up.
"You guys sound cute, my husband doesn't do that with me anymore" A woman said from a few seats over. "Aww, thanks, he's always been like that" I said laughing. "I'm y/n y/l/n" I said extending my hand, "Mia Potter" the woman said shaking my hand. We continued talking she talked about her husband and her son and I told her about Matt,Foggy and Karen. The train moved about a mile before stopping for no reason. "Why do you think the train stopped" Mia said turning to me. I looked out my window before turning back to her. "Maybe that's why" I said turning to her terrified, pointing at the train coming straight at our train not slowing down.
I quickly pulled Mia down to the floor with me trying my best to find a place we would hopefully be less injured. Soon the other train collided with our train, driving straight through our train only missing us by four seats though the impact threw our train and we were thrown all over. I must have been knocked out because my head hurts. I sat up quickly looking for Mia. "Mia!, where are you?" I said crawling around looking for her. Eventually I found her and sat her up against the side of the train before looking for injuries on her. "Mia look at me, are you okay?" I said turning her head to face me.
"Yeah, I'm okay, I think" She said trying to sit up straighter before wincing and grabbing her side. My eyes quickly dart to her side and I realize she's bleeding. I quickly pull off the cardigan I was wearing and wrap it around her side before holding pressure to it. "Okay Mia, I need you to hold pressure to this, while I find my phone to call the cops okay?" I said moving her hand to her side to hold the wound. "Yeah I can do that" She said holding the wound on her own now. I quickly dug around for my phone before finding it and dialing nine one one. "Nine one one, what's your emergency?" A man's voice said on the other end.
"Brett?" I said recognizing his voice, "Y/n?, why are you calling nine one one" He said confused "Brett there's been an accident on the train tracks, another train just hit mine and there was only one another person in the train car I was in and I don't know who else is injured but she is" I started to ramble, "Y/n, calm down, where are you?" Brett said, "I don't know we we're only like a mile away" I said trying to control my breathing. "Okay I just pinged your location, officers and ambulances are on the way, Is there any fire?" Brett said. "No, Not that I can see" I said moving back over to Mia. "Brett what do I do? She keeps closing her eyes" I said adding more pressure to her wound.
"Okay get her talking, the ambulances will be there soon, I also texted Matt" He said, "Okay, I'm gonna put you on speaker and set you to the side" I said moving the phone. "Okay I'm gonna stay on the line" Brett said as I set down the phone "Mia,Mia, Tell me more about your kid, what was his name again?, James?" I said shaking her. "Yes, James" She said opening her eyes slightly. "What's your husbands name?"I said shaking her more, "Monty" She said finally completely opening her eyes. "Tell me more about them, Does James go to school? Does Monty have a job?" I said, "Yes, James goes to boarding school and Monty works at the paper in town" She said smiling.
"Okay good, what else?, Does James have friends?" I said. "Yes, he's got three, lovely boys really" she said slightly closing her eyes. "Mia!, don't close your eyes" I said shaking her, "Y/n, the ambulances just arrived" Brett said on the other end. "Great, I don't know how much longer I can keep her awake" I said. "Matt's been texting me by the way, he keeps asking how you're doing, don't worry I told him you're fine" Brett said then the medics came and got Mia. I stood up following them. "Tell Matt to meet me at the hospital i'm gonna go with her, Bye Brett" I said. "Will do, bye y/n/n" He said hanging up. "Does she have any family?" One of the medics asked.
"None that are here with her, i'll ride with her to the hospital" I said as they loaded her into an ambulance . "Okay, quick, get in, we gotta go" They said pulling me in. The ride to the hospital was short and nerve wracking, My phone was blowing up in my pocket but I couldn't bring myself to think about anything but how Mia was doing. We got to the hospital and they rushed her inside with me following. "Y/n/n?, Are you injured?" Claire said coming out from behind the desk. "I don't know, but I don't really care, how do we contact someone's family?" I asked as she pulled me into a hug. "Come here" she said pulling me over to the desk as she went behind it.
"I need her first and last name" Claire said beginning to type. "Mia Potter" I said, "Okay here we have a phone number for one Monty Potter" Claire said pulling up the names. "Yes that's him" I said, "Do you want to call him?" She asked handing over the phone. "No I think i'd throw up" I said so she took the phone back and called him. "Hello Is this Monty Potter?" Claire asked the man on the other end. "Yes this is him,May i ask who this is?" I could hear him say on the other end. "I'm Claire, i'm calling from the hospital your wife's been in an accident please come quickly" she says. "I'm on my way" He said before hanging up. "Thank you Claire" I said "Just doing my job" She said.
"Does Matt know you're here?" She asked. "Yes, Brett texted him" I said just before the doors behind me opened. "Y/n/n!" Matt said rushing over to me. "Are you alright?, Are you hurt?" He asked before turning to Claire, "Is she hurt?" He asked. "I don't know she wouldn't let me check" Claire said. "I'm fine, just a little dizzy" I said slurring my words together before collapsing. The last thing I heard was Matt calling my name before I knocked out. I woke up in a hospital bed after what I assume was a few hours. Matt was asleep in the chair next to me and Foggy and Karen were asleep on the couch across from the bed leaning against each other.
"Y/n/n, are you awake?" Matt said sitting up. "Yeah Matt, I'm awake, what happened?" I said still a little out of it. "You don't remember?" Matt said grabbing my hand. "Well I remember the train crash and getting here but I don't remember anything after that" I said gripping his hand. "You passed out, you must have hit your head when the other train crashed into you" Matt said rubbing his thumb over the back of my hand. "Did Monty come?" I asked, "Monty?" Matt said questioningly. "Mia's husband the woman I helped on the train" I said "Yes, He and his son came, they said that if they check out before us they'll come visit, but I don't think they'll check out before us" Matt said.
"I wanna go see them" I said sitting up, "We can, but not right now, you need to get some rest" Matt said kissing my hand. "Go to sleep i'm gonna go get some food for these two before they wake up" Matt said kissing my head as he stood to leave. "Can you bring me some fries?" I said as he walked to the door. "Of course" He said smiling at me. About twenty minutes later I woke up when Matt came back. Foggy and Karen woke up too. "Y/n/n!, you're okay" Karen said standing up and walking over to me. "I brought food" Matt said walking over and handing everyone their food. "Thank you Matt" Foggy said taking his. "Yeah thank you Matt" Karen said grabbing her's.
We all ate till the doctor came in and said I was free to go. Matt walked with me to Mia's room after we waved goodbye to Foggy and Karen. We got up to her room and she was awake and sitting up talking to her son and husband. She noticed me and called me in "Y/n, come here" She said waving her hand "I'm coming" I said walking over and hugging her "Mom? Who is this?" the boy who i'm gonna assume is James said "Honey this is the girl from the train, the one who helped me" She said then James stood up and pulled me into a hug "Thank you for helping my mom" He said after we stopped hugging then Monty pulled me into a hug "Really thank you" He said
Then Mia noticed Matt standing in the doorway, she tugged at my hand "So this must be the Matt I've heard so much about" She said smiling, I walked over to Matt and pulled him into the room. "Yes this is him" I said smiling back at her "You've been talking about me" He said smiling down at me "Yeah, don't get used to it" I said laughing. "Okay we've gotta go, but i'll leave my number with Monty, call me if you need anything, and I mean anything" I said as I hugged them all "Will do" Mia said "Okay let's go Matt" I said and led him out of the room not that he needed it. We got outside and hailed down a cab. After about ten minutes we got home and headed up to apartment.
"Now that I've got you all to myself, what do you wanna do?" Matt said grinning. "I don't know, what do you wanna do?" I said pulling him to the couch "Cuddle and then sleep" He said pulling me down onto the couch with him. "Okay, so why aren't we in our bedroom then" I said laughing, "Too far, I wanna cuddle now" He said wrapping his arms around me. "Fine but we do have to go the bed eventually" I said pulling a blanket around us. I listened to his breathing before falling asleep. I then felt him pick me up and carry me to the bed. He pulled back the sheets set me down and got in before pulling me close "Goodnight y/n/n, I love you" He said pulling me closer. "Goodnight Matty, Love you too" I said turning into his chest and slowly falling asleep.
