Chapter 7
Peggy and Steve stared at each other, Tony blinked then shrugged going over to Mother and climbing into his lap with Loki's help, Natasha and Wanda frowned looking at the two.
"I thought you were dead Peggy" Steve stated Peggy nodded
"Yes, I know that was the whole idea in faking my death to make people believe I was actually dead but not" Peggy explained Steve looked at her with betrayal and confusion, Anthony reached up grabbing Loki's face not really focused on the two
"But, I mourned you Pegs. You were my best girl" Steve said Natasha looked at the super soldier not impressed, Wanda frowned at him turning to Frigga, the queen just shook her head in disappointment, Tony and Loki ignored the others
"Steve we've only known each other for a week maybe less. Rogers, I moved on after you went down with the plane, I'm happily married with two kids and a couple of grandkids running around. What we had was puppy love really Steve" Peggy said gently patting the man's shoulder awkwardly, she went to walk away when Steve grabbed her wrist, and Loki quickly tossed Peggy a dagger which the spy caught and spun around stabbing the super soldier in the shoulder then kneed him
"You should've known better than to grab the former Director of Shield like that" Natasha tsked shaking his head, Loki shielded Tony's eyes when the violence occurred giving Steve and Peggy a pointed look. Frigga filed her nails not bothered by it, and Wanda just sighed
"Please leave Steven, I'm only here to see my godson," Peggy said cleaning the blood off the dagger as she walked over to her friend giving back his dagger. Loki the dagger back into his sleeve and uncovered Tony's eyes. The boy genius shrugged then crawled over to his grandmother and cuddled into her side, Frigga smiled as she made mist butterflies flutter around him
"I didn't know that you were Stark's godmother," Steve said Peggy and Loki rolled their eyes, Tony was very immersed in the misty butterflies trying to catch them grinning toothy, Frigga smiled as she played with her grandson
"Anthony would've told you if you had asked, but since you just said that. That means you never ask my son" Loki sighed shaking his head and stood up, Steve glared at him which he got in return from Frigga
"Mr. Rogers I would suggest you leave now, Mrs. Sousa does not want to speak with you at this moment" Frigga drawled letting her grandson play with her fingers Natasha stood up and escorted Steve to the elevator
"Don't come back Steve really Peggy moved on and married an incredible guy, besides she's only here for Tony not because she missed you. If you come back I will stab you where the sun don't shine" Natasha threatened with a smile before pushing the super soldier inside the elevator sending him down to their floor
"Such a sweet girl" Peggy cooed ruffling Natasha's hair, Loki chuckled
"Anthony" Loki said softly, Tony looked up at him with wide eyes before jumping on his mother who caught him before he hit the ground. Loki smiled and kissed his son's cheek settling him on his hip
"Momma, do you have to go now?" Anthony asked Loki nodded holding his son close to him
"Yes, snowflake it's time for me to go now and when I return I'll have your brothers and aunt with me," Loki said Tony nodded
"Come back momma please" Tony replied tucking his head under Loki's chin, the god of mischief smiled gently
"I promise, now then be good for your Aunt Peggy" Loki whispered gently handing his son over to Peggy, Anthony hesitantly allowed the transfer wrapping himself around Peggy
"Ok momma" Tony mumbled Peggy rubbed his back in comfort, and Loki kissed his head
"I love you bambi" Loki grinned
"I love you too Mommy," Tony said Loki looked over at Natasha and Wanda
"Could you help Margret out with him?" Loki asked the two girls brightened up and nodded eagerly
"Yes, of we'd love to" Wanda responded the god chuckled
"Good, Mother I'll see you when I return" Loki gave Frigga a kiss on the cheek before vanishing, Tony buried his head in Peggy's neck
"I miss momma already" Tony sniffed hugging his godmother's neck tighter
"I know ducky but he'll be back before you even notice it," Peggy said trying to cheer up the little boy
"But I already notice it, Auntie Peggy," Tony replied the former director of Shield felt a wetness on her neck, and she planted a soft kiss on his head holding the little boy close
