Lawyer... pls?
author
Summary
What would happen if Eddie Brock had somehow stayed in the MCU... but less problematic than he probably would be if this actually happened. What if Eddie just tried to rebuild his life from literally nothing but Venom decides to eat someone and now he needs a lawyer?or Matt just wanted clients. Not new friends. Not problematic aliens. And totally not a slightly still heartbroken, pretty much non-existent, reporter. Haha, what? I wrote something here but it got deleted so I guess we will never know.  I don't know what the fuck is going on honestly.
Note
So like... this will be updated weekly so like... if you care enough, stick around? Lmao Stick. It's too late for this.Anyway, chapters one and two are written at like 1 am to 3 am so grammar and common sense might be missing. Lmao enjoy

Eddie Brock 0.1

Eddie had noticed after a while, he wasn’t in his universe. This one had a bunch of superheroes and villains running around. Venom thought it was intriguing, while Eddie was unsure.

He and Venom stayed at the hotel for about a month after they came. They didn’t know how to get home so they had to make the best out of the situation.
He didn’t have his wallet since it was left in his hotel room when he dimension hopped, so he had to save up to get a plane.

They went to New York and… now what?

“Now what?” He asked out loud.

“We have to make a living Eddie!” Venom roared inside his head. Eddie just hummed and rolled his eyes. Of course, he would think it would be easy. Venom hadn’t worked a day in his life.

They walked down the street. Eddie wasn’t too familiar with New York but he had seen pictures and this sure looked a bit different. There were more buildings - they were in the distance but they were noticeable - and they looked more expensive.

“Okay I can pay half now and I swear, I swear, I will pay the rest on Saturday, please,” Eddie pretty much begged.

‘You’re pathetic,’ Venom scoffed.

“Alright, but I have my eyes on you, I know people!” The man threatened.

“Thank you,” Eddie said and slid the money he had over to the man.

‘Nobody he knows could take us down, Eddie,’ Venom reassured. The man tossed a key at Eddie and sneered at him before waving a hand at him to go away. Eddie shot an annoyed smile and walked up the stairs.

The room they got was small, smaller than his old apartment. It was one cramped room. The walls looked like they used to be white but were smoke-stained into a caramel white colour. The floor was grey carpet with a few stains here and there, some very suspicious-looking but he decided to ignite it for now. There was a bed in the far right corner with a small, old bedside table. The bed mattress was also miscoloured and had multiple stains all over, most looked like food stains but there were some that looked like faded blood. Against the other wall, there was a small toilet that also looked worse for wear and looked like it needed a proper cleaning. Next to the door and almost next to the toilet there was a small kitchen, well barely. There was a small gas oven, a sink, a small fridge and three cabinets.
The smell in the room was disgusting, it smelled like sweat and old food and maybe some shit.

Eddie wanted to puke. He should have stayed in Mexico.

“This is a shithole, Eddie,” Venom complained as he came out of Eddie’s shoulder.

“You say,” Eddie deadpanned.

After staying in New York for about a month Eddie had gotten a job. It paid… decently and managed to let him pay his rent.
He found out more about where he was and what was going on in this universe. Venom was constantly complaining at first about how this world was and how shitty they lived but Eddie just ignored him for the most part. He hadn’t eaten a human in a while which Eddie was proud of.

Eddie grabbed the trash bag and wrinkled his nose at the smell. He resisted the urge to gag and started walking out of the apartment. Jumping over the last few steps and then walking out the doors.

He walked into an alley where there were dumpsters and threw the trash bag in. He then saw something move in the corner of his eye and turned to face whatever was in the alley. A man was holding a woman over her mouth while holding a gun in the other hand.

‘Bad guy!’ Venom roared as he took over Eddie’s body. The man started shaking and held the woman tighter. The woman struggled and tried to get out of the man’s grip.

“Get away! Freak!” He yelled as he pointed the gun at the woman’s head. The woman jumped and tried to struggle again. She quickly got her mouth away from his hand and let out a loud scream. Venom did a small grunt while the man struggled to get his hands back on the woman.

“Let her go!” Venom growled and reached for the woman with his big gooey hands. He grabbed the woman by the forearm and yanked her away from the man. She let out a small yelp and let out a few small sobs. Venom then stepped towards the bad guy who quickly tried to shoot a bullet at Venom. The woman gasped before attempting to run away from the scene. The bad guy presumably panicked and shot her in the back. Venom let out a mad grunt before grabbing the bad guy and biting his head off.

The bad guy’s body fell to the floor making a small pool of water underneath him. Venom went back inside Eddie. He sighed and winced at the sight of the two dead people in the alleyway.

Sirens soon approached and two officers walked out of a car with their guns raised.

“Freeze! Hands behind your head and get on your knees!” One of the officers yelled. Eddie swallowed hard but obliged.

‘Eddie I can get us out,’ Venom said.

“Don’t bother,” Eddie hissed under his breath. One of the police officers walked around and handcuffed Eddie before taking him to the police car.

“What did you say your name was?” The police officer asked raising an eyebrow.

“Eddie Brock,” He answered and sighed. There was no Eddie Brock who looked like him or was his age.

“Real name?” The officer asked.

“Eddie Brock,” He hissed back glaring at the officer. He was somewhat aware this wasn’t his fault but he was annoyed at it was the closest way to release some type of aggression.

“Alright… Mr Brock do you want to tell us what happened?” The officer switched questions.

‘Eddie let’s leave,’ Venom wined.

“I want a lawyer,” Eddie demanded. The door opened and another officer simply opened the door and it looked like he wasn’t planning to walk inside.

“Good because you just scored the two most annoying lawyers,” the man said as two other men in suits appeared in the doorway.
