Note
So, I bet those who know me would never have guessed I would be making a crossover like this one.Danganronpa and Marvel? How would that even work?Sometimes, inspiration just strikes in the most random of places. It's funny, Danganronpa, I bet, is the last thing any of those who have read my work would have expected me to do.And honestly, neither did I.But… I don't know, just this idea hit me like a lightning bolt. It just planted itself in my head and has been swirling around in my head almost day in and day out. And there's nothing worse than having multiple variations of the story. It's gotten to the point that I'm playing out four or five versions of this story because there's so much I can do with it. Really, this story is also something I feel like is a return to the original ways I used to do stories. Just trying new things on my own. I don't know if you guys will like this, if it will catch on but it's a story that I wanna do for myself. Will it be as popular as my other works? *Shrug* who is to say really? It can go in any given path. However after some careful consideration, I've finally decided upon the direction of the story I want to go in.For starters in terms of context, this takes place in No Way Home as this felt the most justifiable standpoint for the start and you'll soon see why.Second, as I always start with in all my crossovers, this is an AU with changes here and there… or a lot really with what's to come so hope you're ready for surprises and changes. And of course an AU for both the MCU Spider-man and the Danganronpa universe.Lots of madness, teen madness and eccentricity as it usually comes with any and all manga, games and anime from the land of the rising sun.Overall, I'm excited to give this new story a try and see how you guys respond to it and hope you all enjoy it.With that, Here. We. Go.

Ultimate Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Chapter 2: I literally can't explain myself

There was nothing.

Nothing he recognized about this place other than New York City which happened to be on the other side of the planet.

No mention of superheroes other than comic books, Manga and fiction.

No Avengers.

No Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Vision, none of them.

No Thanos coming to Earth and snapping life out of existence.

No sacrifice that Mr. Stark made for the team and the universe as a whole.

Nothing.

Just nothing.

He didn't even exist here.

There was a mention of a Peter Parker living somewhere in a rural part of Texas and another in some part of the state of Washington but for Peter Benjamin Parker who was born and raised in Queens, New York, the results came back negative.

When checking for his Aunt May Parker, he got the same answer. This process repeated multiple times as he listed off his Uncle Ben, his parents, his classmates and anyone and everyone Peter had ever known.

All blank, all nonexistent.

Nothing.

Peter Parker was in another world, another universe.

That was really the only explanation cause he sure as hell couldn't think of another one.

'Then again, that explains that free fall through… was that the Multiverse I was falling through?' Peter's thoughts grappled with the reality before him.

The Multiverse was real.

And he had inadvertently traveled through it and wound up in a universe unlike his own.

Straining his memories, Peter forcibly recalled everything that had happened that led up to this point.

Mysterio, a man who he once thought to be a hero, revealed his identity to the world.

His life was thrown into hell and he had to deal with the fallout of his secret identity being known by every single human being on the planet.

Thankfully, his lawyer Matt Murdock managed to drop any legal charges that were pressed against him.

Regardless of that fact, Peter and his friends and family were still dealing with the "court" of public opinion, as Mr. Murdock had put it.

Like having bricks thrown in through their window by Mysterio loyalists or media outlets still labeling him a menace to society.

Then came his attempts at trying to have a normal remainder of high school only to have phones and whispers directed at him on the daily.

But worst of all, the people he cared about were suffering due to their association with him.

His Aunt May's FEAST charitable organization that assisted those who came back after the Snap was nearly shut down.

Happy Hogan, a close friend and confidant to Tony Stark and himself was now facing legal actions with his involvement with Peter.

And his two closest friends, Ned Leeds and Michelle Jones, were unable to get into the colleges of their choices. Worst of all, they were also constantly targeted by media outlets as his puppets or willing participants in aiding in his vigilante activities.

They were equally as harassed as he was and it was starting to become too much for him when he heard that they were even facing crowds outside their own homes.

He needed to do something about it and he needed to do it quick.

And it was then that inspiration struck form a month old halloween decoration he saw at the cafe Michelle worked at.

He went to Doctor Strange, hoping that maybe with the use of the Time Stone, Stephen could reverse what had happened and his life would return to a semblance of normal.

But he forgot about the Infinity Stones having been destroyed.

However Strange then suggested a memory wiping spell that would make people forget about him being Spider-Man.

Great… if only he didn't mention the part that everyone would forget about him being Spider-Man, including his closest friends, family and other heroes aware of his dual identity.

Now that posed a bit of a conundrum.

He wanted people to forget about him being a superhero but for everyone he cared about and trusted?

Not really.

So he rambled and listed off people in the middle of a reality/memory altering spell to the point that the incantation began going off the rails. Peter tried to get one last word in about having everyone forget he was Spider-man other than those that already knew.

That of course seemed to be the catalyst to his situation now.

He began falling, plummeting through an endless expanse as he saw multiple images and scenarios of himself in places he had and had not been to.

There was-

"Hey kid, you alright?" Asked a laid back voice to his side. "Looks like you're about to pop a vein in your head."

Peter blinked, looking over to the man that was seated in the driver's seat of the car he was currently in right now.

"What's on your mind kid? Must be important with the way your face is all tightened up like that."

"Um…" Peter's brows furrowed together, his brain wracking for an explanation.

The man laughed, shaking his head at the teen. "Don't worry about it kid. Just wanted to get you outta your head. Looked like a gasket was about to blow."

The teen let out a weak chuckle. "You wouldn't be that far off honestly, Mr. Kizakura."

Koichi only hummed aloud in thought as he continued his drive. "Wanna talk about it?"

Peter grimaced, mind racing on how to explain his situation.

Or better yet how to get out of talking about it at all.

Koichi then laughed again. "Don't eat yourself too much kid. Relax. I know when not to pry. Just hold onto that until we get there."

The brown haired teen blinked. "Until we get… where?"

"Hope Peak Academy."

"Huh?"

Koichi snorted. "You really are from America if you don't know about that place. Though still, would have figured it would have some global renown."

"So we're going to a school?" Peter asked for clarity, seeing the blond man nod.

"Yup." He confirmed. "Meetin' up with Jin and old man Tengan. Figure they might have an idea of what to do, maybe help ya out."

Peter perked up at this. "Really?"

Koichi shrugged. "Yeah, sure. If anything, you can at least talk to them about your situation. Sure as hell wanna know what was that back there."

Parker only slumped back in his seat, mind a whirl with activity.

"I wish I could tell you." He muttered.

"The hell was that thing anyway?" Koichi asked, face becoming a lot more serious now. "I've seen my fair share of weird and crazy shit but that was a giant talking Lizard. Pretty sure there's no Ultimate out there like that."

"Ultimate?" Peter parroted. "What's that supposed to be?"

Koichi gave him a strange look before he became thoughtful.

"Don't have guys like that back home in America?"

"Er, no. Should we?" Peter tilted his head. "Wait, what even is an Ultimate supposed to be?"

Kizakura 'hmph'd' quietly, a small smirk in place.

"You'll find out soon enough." He assured the teen. "We're almost there anyway."

Parker only silently nodded, the rest of the drive being relatively quiet for the most part as they made their way to this Hope's Peak Academy.

And speaking of which…

With said academy, in a large office with a desk, a number of shelves and two sizable couches were two men occupying the room.

One was a man in his thirties, seated behind the large desk with a number of files in his hands. He wore a black suit and purple tie, having a head of black hair.

On one of the couches was a more elderly gentleman casually reading a book in a relaxed posture. with silver, upswept hair and amber eyes. He has a mustache and beard, and a rather sullen face. He also wore glasses, a jacket, white dress shirt along with a red tie and a black vest with black pants and brown oxford shoes.

The elder of the duo hummed to himself, gaining the attention of the younger man.

"Something on your mind, Tengan?"

The aged man closed his book with a look of contemplation.

"It's Koichi's message." Kazuo Tengan said with an intrigued tone. "What do you make of it, Jin?"

Jin Kirigiri, otherwise known as the headmaster of Hope's Peak Academy, set the files he was reading down and leaned back in his chair.

"The Ultimate Ultimate, as he called it." Jin was paraphrasing but that description stuck. "A potential student unlike any other who has come before. That's a rather grand statement and a high degree of praise for one just before the start of the school year."

"One who was under the radar from what he said." Tengan stated. "But he also said he was a foreigner."

"American, yes." Kirigiri confirmed. "Though I'm not sure as to why he's all the way over here. He is a teenager and likely in school. What's he doing all the way over here?"

Tengan stroked his beard contemplatively.

"Just another question to add to the list." The former headmaster of Hope's Peak mused aloud.

Jin could only nod at his predecessor's words, knowing they'll get answers soon enough.

In their period of waiting for Koichi's arrival, Jin took a moment to reflect on his friend's words and tone above all else.

He spoke in a completely sober voice, indicating he hadn't been drinking for once and the excitement he held was something else. To some, Koichi would have sounded a lot more chipper but to Jin, the man may as well have been screaming from the rooftops.

There was a palpable jitteriness to the alcoholic's tone that Jin couldn't help but wonder just who it was his friend had found.

They would get their answer soon enough.

The pair sat patiently in the office for a few more minutes until Jin's phone had a green flashing light.

"Headmaster Kirigiri, Koichi is here to see you." Spoke a female voice on the other end.

"Thank you Kasumi." He replied back. "Is he with someone else by any chance?"

"Yes, a young teenager, American from the looks of it."

"Right then, send them in."

"Hmmm, this is it." Tengan mused.

Jin simply nodded in silence as the two men turned their heads towards the door just as it opened and in walked Koichi Kizakura and the young American he brought with him.

Both men actually blinked as they took a moment to take a proper look at the boy behind Koichi.

'What is he wearing?' Was the thought shared between the two.

"Jin." Koichi greeted his friend with an easygoing smile. "You don't look busy for once."

"For once." The black suited Headmaster said good naturedly.

"Hey old man, how're those joints treatin' ya?"

Tengan huffed, a wry look visible for all to see. "They're working just fine, Kizakura. Fine enough for me to walk right on over to you and show you."

Koichi chortled with Jin rolling his eyes at his friend's attitude.

In that small eye roll, Kirigiri's eyes landed back on the teen who looked awkward and out of place.

"Is this him?" Jin inquired, turning everyone's attention on the young New Yorker.

Koichi nodded. "Yup. This here is Peter Parker. But he goes by another name apparently." Koichi looked at the kid with a faux-quizzical look. "What was it again? Spiderling? Crime-fighting Spider? Spider-Boy?"

Peter could barely contain himself from reeling back from what he had just heard.

For the briefest of moments, his perspective changed into that of the first time he had ever met Tony Stark. He used those exact words.

How in the world was he hearing them again?

Was this some multiversal coincidence or was it a prerequisite for when he introduces himself?

Shaking his head, Peter gazed at the two strangers he had yet to introduce himself to, coughing into his hand slightly.

"S-Spide-Spider-Man." He stammered out, the feeling of slapping himself upside coming over him at such a lackluster introduction.

'How do I screw that up two times now?' The web-head mentally berated himself.

"Spider-Man?" Tengan repeated, a brow raised as he gave Peter another once over at his attire, taking a moment to inspect the spider emblem on the chest. "Is there a reason as to why you are dressed in such garments? I've never seen anything quite like it, to be honest."

"Uh, y-yeah, it's my suit." Peter said, gesturing down to his costume.

"Your suit." Jin murmured. "Mind explaining what it's for then?"

Peter opened and closed his mouth several times to try to think of an answer when Koichi raised his hand, a silent gesture for the teen to let Kizakura do the talking.

"So, Jin, Tengan." The white suited man spoke jovially. "Either of you been watching the news lately?"

Jin and Tengan shared a befuddled look with each other, completely unsure as to what this was supposed to insinuate.

The latter made an educated guess that it most likely had something to do with the teen Koichi had just brought in.

Why go through all the trouble of building up excitement about the "UltimateUltimate" and the first thing he asks is if they watch the news or not?

"No Koichi, we've been rather busy." Jin wryly said.

Tengan opted to humor the man. "What is it on the news that's so important right now?"

"Well old man, I'm glad you asked." Kizakura cheekily said, walking over to a shelf and opened up the top two doors to reveal a large television set behind it.

Turning it on, Tengan and Jin's eyebrows rose slightly as the very first thing they saw was the title of a news story underway at this moment.

Something about a giant human reptile rampaging not far from Hope's Peak, a twenty minute drive at most.

But what caught their attention was the mention of a reported young man, a teenager, engaging with the overgrown reptilian, fighting it off and immobilizing it by means of large webbing.

A moment later, a litany of videos and images, most of which were from phones of nearby civilians, began to be displayed on screen.

All of which showed many different angles from the scuffle. All of which had a scaly humanoid with a tail combating against a person in a red, blue and gold suit with glowing lenses. Though the design and color was slightly different, the similarities were easy to make out.

This person in the suit was exceptionally fast, agile, flexible and apparently strong.

It didn't register until a few seconds in but Jin and Tengan saw that this person also was carrying someone in their arms at several points in the video.

And from how they saw it, it seemed that he didn't have any trouble at all.

Both former and current Headmasters of Hope's Peak slowly turned their heads back to the teenager in their office then back at the television set and then back at him.

The teen had his head down, trying to look as indiscreet as possible though it was really a pointless endeavor.

"That's you, I take it." Tengan stated more than questioned.

The boy stammered for a few seconds before he simply nodded, almost guiltily.

"That thing," Jin was eyeing the screen, watching as a bound up human Lizard was put into a large truck brought in by the police. "What is that? Who is that?"

"I don't know." Peter admitted, turning his head in the direction of the screen. "It just attacked me and… it knew my name. He knew who I was."

Kazuo had an analytical gaze directed at the television set, keenly observing the movements and actions of the videos displaying Spider-man in action.

More specifically, he watched the surveillance and camera footage of the initial start of the fight and how the boy put himself in between the creature and a young girl in a nurse's outfit. How he seemingly focused on keeping the girl safe over prioritizing his fight with this bizarre monster.

He saw that the teen moved to immobilize and incapacitate the reptilian while also keeping other civilians clear of the fight.

The former Headmaster of Hope's Peak then felt it.

That feeling he always strived to gain and one day spread the world over.

But first, he needed to make sure that

Taking a moment again to look at the teen that was standing quietly in the room, Tengan took his time to really look at him.

"You kept the girl safe." He spoke up, making the other three in the room turn their heads towards him.

"Huh?" Parker said in confusion.

Kazuo angled his head towards the newsfeed. "That girl in all those videos. You were keeping her safe."

"Yeah, Mikan Tsumiki." Koichi spoke up. "The Ultimate Nurse. How do you know her, by the way? Never got around to asking."

"Oh, uh, she actually helped me." Peter revealed, tapping his eye where the gauze patch that Mikan had placed on him remained. "She found me all banged up in an alleyway and patched me up."

"So you were only protecting her out of necessity?" Jin abruptly asked, his gaze boring into Parker. "Just because you felt an obligation of debt?"

The look he received was near incredulous, insulted even.

"Wh-what?" There was a flash of anger clear for the three older men to see. "No, of course not. I'm a superhero, I'm supposed to protect people. I would have helped her regardless."

The trio of older gentlemen were rather taken aback by such a drastic shift in the boy's personality.

Koichi was the first to recover, sporting a wide grin with him chuckling.

"Well now, that's a good reason for any that I've heard."

Jin's lip twitched upwards whilst Tengan had a more thoughtful expression. However, there was a sharp gleam in his eyes, one of intense interest now.

Seeing their reactions, Peter felt slightly bashful, coughing into his hand and relaxing his posture.

Kirigiri was silent for a number of seconds before he spoke up.

"Alright then," Jin stared right at the New York native, eyes locking onto the teens with the man becoming far more serious then he was seconds ago. "I have some questions I'd like for you to answer me if that's alright with you, Parker."

The teen wordlessly nodded, giving the Headmaster the go ahead.

"Right then. Let's start off with some basic information about yourself. Your name is Peter Parker, yes?"

"Yeah."

"And from what Koichi relayed to me in a rather hasty manner, he told me you're from Queens, New York."

"That's right."

"Then I guess an obvious follow up to my question is what exactly are you doing here, Mr. Parker. You're a rather long way away from your home country. Why are you here? And better yet, how did you get here? By plane? Boat? Because I have here a list of all the airline flights in and out of Japan. We searched your name on every single one in the last few days and there was never a mention of any American by the name of Peter Parker from America."

Peter squirmed a bit as he tried figuring out how to respond to such queries.

First of all, he didn't understand or know just how they got such information in a seemingly effortless manner. They must have some serious pull across the country. Second, he can't just come out and say "well, long story short, I'm actually from another universe" and just expect them to accept that answer.

He himself was still trying to come to terms with his current predicament.

The last thing he needed is to tell more people about it and be labeled a crazy person. At least back in his own universe, ludicrous statements like "I'm from another universe" are more readily accepted cause of how insane his reality already was.

But he didn't know how things worked here and as far as he was able to discern, interdimensional travelers weren't the norm.

At least, that was his current assumption.

Who knows, the universe or Multiverse really, can surprise him.

Getting back to the conversation at hand…

"Well sir, it's uh, it's a bit complicated." Peter admitted sheepishly. "I didn't come here willingly. In fact, I got here by accident."

"Oh?" Tengan perked up now, eyes keen, contrasting his relaxed position. "Complicated how?"

"It's…" Peter cringed slightly at what he was about to say. "I can't really explain. Let's just say that I did something stupid without realizing it and I wound up here."

"Something stupid led you to the other side of the world?" Jin looked at him in slight disbelief.

"Yeah…" He lamely said, shoulders sagging slightly.

He received a rather warranted dubious look from the Headmaster and he couldn't really fault him for it. His explanation was shotty at best.

Thankfully, the previous Headmaster changed the topic, small as it was.

"That creature you faced," Kazuo murmured. "Just what was that thing? You said it could speak?"

Peter nodded. "Yeah, he also knew me."

"Do you know him?" Kirigiri inquired.

The teen superhero shook his head, a frown marring his face. "No… that's just it, I don't. He knew me by name but I've never met him before."

"He sure was eyeballing ya really creepily when they were taking him away." Koichi remarked, lips in a downward curve. "When he was trapped on the ground, he looked like he wanted to skewer you alive. Then afterwards, he just kept looking at ya weirdly. Like, he didn't understand what he was looking at."

Parker nodded, thinking back to when that reptilian humanoid was being taken in by the authorities that were called in. His mask had been retracted by that point and when he locked eyes with the overgrown Lizard again, rather than pure venom and hatred, the look in his eyes was now that of pure confusion and bewilderment.

It was as if he didn't comprehend who he was staring at though Peter shared the sentiment for different reasons.

'He knew my name but… the way he looked at me was like he didn't recognize who I was.' This certainly befuddled the young superhero. 'He knows my name but he doesn't know my face? How does that work?'

It was bad enough Peter was still coming to grips with being in another reality but now this?

He wasn't sure his young mind can handle… ok, it can considering the craziness of his life and world already. The problem lies in the fact that he still doesn't fully understand how he got here and more importantly, if there was a way back home.

"Are you alright, Mr. Parker?" The aged voice of Tengan cut through the teens thoughts, making him look at the elderly gentleman. "You look a bit conflicted there for a moment."

"Um, yeah, sorry 'bout that." Peter said, rubbing the side of his head while grimacing. "Guess I have a lot on my mind."

"I can imagine." Kazuo said understandingly.

Jin eyed the brown haired teen analytically, taking another moment to gauge at the boy.

"Tell me Mr. Parker, do you know where we are?" He asked after a few moments of observation.

Peter blinked upon hearing the question, glancing at Koichi for a second. "Hope's Peak Academy, right?"

The Headmaster nodded. "That is correct. And do you know what the purpose of this Academy is?"

"Um… No. Should I?"

Jin rubbed his chin in thought. "Has the term Ultimate ever come up in America, Mr. Parker?"

"Not that I know of. Mr. Kizakura mentioned that on the way here. What even is that?"

"An Ultimate is a special moniker given to specially talented and skilled individuals, teenagers primarily, who have a specific and almost unnatural expertise that defines their character." Tengan elaborated. "Koichi here is such a man. Though he is technically the Former Ultimate High School Level Talent Scout, by all accounts, he still is that man. Koichi specializes in scouting and locating teens of exceptional talent to be brought in and become a part of this Academy."

Peter only nodded silently as Kirigiri went on.

"Hope's Peak is about helping Ultimates to cultivate and expand on their natural abilities and talents as one day, they will be the leaders in our society and help push us forward towards a greater future filled with Hope and prosperity." Kirigiri became a bit more impassioned now. "Any and all who have graduated from this school have gone on to become leading figures in their fields of expertise. Their influence is far reaching, the world over. And it all starts here."

"Huh…" Was all Peter said in response to such a grandiose speech.

Jin faltered slightly at the rather subdued vigilante's reaction to his speech while Koichi guffawed at the teen and Tengan silently shook his head with mirth.

"Koichi believes you hold a great degree of potential, Mr. Parker." Tengan spoke up, slowly getting to his feet and moving to stand in front of the teen. "We've never heard such excitement in his voice before and frankly he has me curious now. I should think it should be obvious for you to discern his desire to see you come to this school as one of our Ultimates as he believes that you're the greatest find he has ever found."

Peter's brows shot up and mouth opened slightly as he looked up at Koichi who simply shrugged without a shred of regret.

"However, I am curious." Tengan murmured. "In those images and videos, I noticed you were wearing an entirely different suit. One more metallic in appearance."

"Oh you mean my nano suit." Peter blurted out without giving it much thought.

"Nano suit?" Jin parroted.

Wordlessly, Peter stepped back and right before their eyes, the Iron Spider suit materialized around him.

Tengan and Jin's eyes widened considerably, the former having to restrain himself to reach out and try to feel the suit itself. Creepy, yes, but when one sees something unlike anything they had ever witnessed before, one would kinda wanna touch it.

… still creepy.

"Extraordinary." Kazuo whispered, looking at the suit from head to toe.

"Nano suit." Kirigiri said once more. "As in… are you talking about nanotechnology? That's bleeding edge technology. I'm fairly certain that very few are even aware of its development. Where did you even get such a suit?"

Peter felt really dumb in saying this, his face mask retracting back. "Again, that's a really complicated story. If I could tell you outright I would but-"

"You can't or won't?" Jin interrupted.

"More like I'm still trying to figure out how to do so cause I'm still not sure myself." Peter admitted. "Cause honestly, it's crazy. Like really, really crazy. I still can't believe it myself."

"So you know how you got here then, yes?" Tengan inquired.

"Yes and no." He internally winced at his lackluster answer. "Again, I just… need some time to figure it all out."

The adults were silent for the most part, Peter grimacing as he appeared apologetic.

"I know it's not the best but-"

"It's alright, young one." Tengan reached forward and patted the teen on the shoulder. "I can see you don't mean any harm and are not here to cause any. Unfortunate circumstances, something that has happened to all of us at one point or another."

His relief was clear as day for them all to see, shoulders slumping down slightly as Peter had been tense without even realizing it.

"Now then, I'd like a moment alone with my colleagues if you don't mind young man." Kazuo said, a knowing look directed at the teen who simply nodded and walked out the door with Tengan following after him as to shut the doors to the office, leaving Tengan with Jin and Koichi.

Now that the three of them were alone…

"Well?" Koichi said expectantly, a smug grin in place. "Can I find them or can I find them?"

"I don't know, Koichi." Jin said, arms crossed and brows creased together in thought. "There's a lot of holes in his story."

"Oh come on." The blond alcoholic scoffed. "Don't give me that excuse. You want him to come to this school just as much as I do. I know old man Tengan here is just as interested in him."

The elder of the said nothing in response as he had his arms crossed with his hand stroking his beard again. He was deep in thought, mulling over the prospect of having a boy like this Parker attend Hope's Peak Academy.

In Tengan's long life, he had seen many Ultimates, many exceptionally talented individuals.

But this young man?

He defied all forms of logic and exceeded all who had come before.

"Come on Jin, just think about it." Koichi walked up to the Headmasters desk, leaning his hands on it. "The schtick of this school is all about Hope right? And we know those committee geezers are all about obsessing over finding the "Ultimate" Hope. Well then, ya have to ask. What better representation of Hope is there than a literal Superhero? They're basically preordained to bring about Hope to all, right?"

"This isn't a comic book or Manga, Kizakura." Jin dryly said. "How do we even know that his abilities, his story, who he even is is legitimate?"

"Seriously, Jin?" Koichi huffed. "You saw those videos and was there in person. This kid is the real deal. No way in hell should you pass this up."

"I am most curious about him myself." Tengan freely admitted. "And come now, Jin. Enough with the charade. I can see it in your eyes as clear as day. You want this boy to come to Hope's Peak as much as I do."

The current Headmaster of Hope's Peak rolled his eyes, exhaling in a resigned fashion as he slouched in his chair.

"Alright, fine, yes. I do want this kid to come to Hope's Peak." Jin stated. "That kid is something special. Didn't even need Koichi to bring it up. But there's so much we don't know about him."

"He's not one to cause problems." Tengan remarked. "Rather, trouble will find him."

"You got all that from just looking at him?" Kirigiri asked, brow raised.

Tengan mirrored Jin's facial features. "And you didn't? Jin, you disappoint me. Coming from a man of your background."

"Alright, alright." Kirigiri said irritably. "Yes, ok, I see it too. Saw it as soon as he walked in."

"So then, are we gonna have him come to this school or not?" Koichi asked the two, Tengan shaking his head.

"That may be tricky as it was obvious that he holds no knowledge of the Academy on top of either not recognizing the school or even caring to realize the importance of this place." Kazuo said.

"And it's clear that he may prioritize finding a way to return home to America rather than staying here." Jin pointed out, arms crossed now. "What does he gain in staying in a place that's not home?"

"Hmmm, what about that whole "complicated" crap he kept bringing up?" Koichi questioned, scratching the top of his head under his hat. "He sure as hell looked lost, I can tell ya that much."

"Does he have any place to stay?" Jin asked, seeing his blond friend shake his head in response.

"When I found him, he asked about making a few calls." The white suited man revealed, reaching into his jacket to pull out his personal flask. "Whatever and whoever he was looking for must've come back negative cause he didn't argue against comin' along with me to this Academy. Could have maybe even swung away from what I've seen him do."

"Then it's decided." Tengan spoke up. "Whilst he remains here, he can stay at my home for the foreseeable future."

Both Koichi and Jin looked at the elderly man in surprise.

"Are you sure about that, Tengan?" Jin frowned. "It would be a lot of responsibility."

"Better me than you, my friend." Kazuo assured his successor. "You have an entire Academy to deal with rambunctious and overwhelming teens of all backgrounds. Me taking on one at the very least will alleviate some concerns. And I wish to know more about this young man. There is more to him than he lets on. I wish to gain his trust."

There was a beat of silence until Jin slowly nodded his head.

"Alright then, we'll leave it to you, Tengan."

More on the shorter side but rather have get it out sooner than later since there's still all my other stories I have to work on with my comrade Jeb and Bullet.

Thanks for the interest in this random story that came to me in the middle of the night.

Hopefully, this will be one of the stories on the shorter end of the spectrum with length but knowing how I write and think ahead, that's not saying much.
