Loki says a bit more than he planned

Bruce had insisted on doing a check-up before studying magic, because of course he had. But as Loki sat down, hooked up to all kinds of machines, his biology didn’t match any of the few thigs they knew of Thors biology.
“Tony, none of this makes sense… I’ve been redoing these first basic tests 5 times and the results are still the same”, Bruce said in a concerned tone.
“Somethings got to be wrong ‘bout it, we have Thors medical history and biology right here, but nothing matches with Lokis.”, Tony said, desperately thinking about what could be wrong.
Then he turned to Loki. The god sat on a chair, staring into a wall. He looked very tense, and his eyes quickly turned to the approaching hero, and then back to the wall. Tony raised an eyebrow to the Gods uncharacteristic behaviour. The pale man in front of him swallowed but didn’t say anything.
“I know you’ve heard us Reindeer Games…”, Tony said as he leaned against the wall.
Loki turned his eyes to Tony again. It was almost as if Tony could see the gears in Lokis head turning. He knew that Loki knew what was wrong. Loki hesitated, but then said in a toneless voice:
“I’m not aesir, did Thor not tell you?”, he said. There was something more, wasn’t it? But Loki didn’t seem to want to tell him, so Tony shrugged.
“He told us that you’re adopted, but that’s about it. So is it a normal space-thing to adopt other species? How do you keep in touch with your culture if it’s on another planet?”, Tony asked, suddenly even more interested. The culture on Asgard must be truly different from earths then? Loki is another alien species then Thor! He gotta run all sorts of tests!
“Its not a ‘normal space-thing’ to do. And you don’t keep in touch with your ‘culture’, I’m not even sure if they have something resembling culture there…”, Loki answered coldly.
Oh. Yeah that’s fucked up.
“What planet do you come from then?”, Tony asked, a bit more careful this time.
“Why do you want to know?”, Loki snapped. He did obviously not want to talk about it, but since when has Tony Stark ever cared about what someone else wants to talk about?
“I’m curious! Are you sure there’s no culture there? I mean I’m no planet-expert but I feel like there should be something, you know?”, Tony answered. Loki glared at him, but then looked like he got reminded of something.
“I actually think there is a culture there that I may be honouring. You see, they’re all monsters, just like me”, Loki answered. His green eyes looked mad and stared right into Tonys. Green eyes.
“Why are your eyes green, Lokes, they were blue earlier?”, Tony asked, completely ignoring the whole situation and how fed-up Loki obviously were.
“Not your business Stark..”, Loki answered angerly.
“Is it because of your alien-heritage? Do your eyecolor change because of it?”, Tony asked. Loki glared at him, the shorter man could obviously not take a hint.
“No, and I do not want to talk about it”, Loki growled.
Finally, the engineer shrugged and walked back to Bruce. The doctor looked concerned as he was looking at the scans and x-rays.
“Okay, Reindeer Games is another species then Thor, so that might be a problem”, Tony said.
“No matter species, these x-rays aren’t good”, Bruce answered “there’s obvious signs of torture everywhere on his body.”
Tony paled, but Loki had heard their talking.
“I am 1070 years old, and I have been fighting for my whole life. There will of course be signs of my body being damaged”, he said.
Happy with Lokis answer, the two science-buddies ended the check-up. Bruce chuckled as he saw Tony, looking like a child on Christmas-morning.
“How does magic work? Are there different types of magic? Can you show me some magic? Do you need to learn magic or is it just a skill someone is born with? Tell me everything you know please!”, Tony said. Loki… looked shocked by the questions… why?
“It is not just simply ‘magic’, it is called seidar, it is almost as ‘the force’ in your ‘Star Wars’, it is something that exists everywhere but can only be used and manipulated by a few-“, Loki started.
“You know about Star Wars? Damn you’re better then both Thor and Cap”, Tony interrupted. Again, Loki looked shocked. There was something about it that just seemed weird. Tony could understand if Loki had been mad about Tony interrupting, but the green-eyed god didn’t seem mad.
“Thank you. As I said, there’s only a few species that can manipulate seidar, but every species in the nine realms except you mortals can do it. Some people are gifted with more control, but you need to train for hundreds of years to manage to do even the most simple things. I happen to be an exemption as I learned to control my powerful seidar at a young age”, Loki said with some small pride in his words.
“What kind of magic can you do?”, Tony asked with eyes glittering of curiosity.
“My abilities include astral projection, shapeshifting, molecular rearrangement, energy blasts, levitating, conjuration, cryokinesis, telekinesis, teleportation, connect to others telepathically and see their memories and create rifts between dimensions”
“You forgot mind control or is that the ‘connect to others telepathically’- thing?”, Tony interrupted.
“Mind control is not an ability I possess, the mind stone is one of few things in the universe that can control minds, and even in that case the user is not completely in control especially if-“Loki stopped himself. It was obvious that he had said more than he’d planned.
“The mind stone? Is that what’s powering the scepter?”, Bruce asked.
“…Yes”, Loki answered carefully.
“We got a lot to talk about then”, Bruce said.
