Chapter 1
“Dude not here,” Chris said as he leaned over and rubbed Sebs back.
“I can’t..Chris..” and he blindly reached out to Chris for help.
Chris quickly wrapped his arms around Sebs waste and almost manhandled him up and away.
They were at a con signing autographs and the poor guy had been feeling like crap all day, he was even sick a few times but insisted on pushing through for his fans. But right now he was hauled away after being kneeled on the floor behind the large table gagging up strings of bile. He was already empty from getting sick earlier so he knew he wouldn’t make a mess, but Chris knew he couldn’t get sick there, not for the fans and for Seb. So he’d hauled him up and pulled him behind a large banner that hung behind them for a little privacy. To be honest Chris’s own stomach was not sitting well either and he was a bit worried how bad it would get. It was only Friday evening, they still had the entire weekend so if he ended up getting as sick as Seb then that was really not good. Two of the main characters cancelling a show is really not a great thing. Seb was pushing through and Chris praised him for that, but Chris was helping him out a lot, so if he got sick too then they’d really be in for it. Yes the rest of the cast who were also their close friends would help them out but that’s really not the route they wanted to take.
Chris was pulled from his mini daze when Seb heaved noisily and buried his face into a small bucket that had been used as a small garbage. Chris felt his own throat constrict as he saw a small puddle of bile in the bottom of bucket.
‘Shit’ he thought. This stuff never made him queasy but his stomach was already queasy right now so he was in a tad bit of a pickle. He swallowed hard, closed his eyes shut and quickly looked away in an attempt to calm the beast that was threatening to bubble up from his guts. He took a deep breath and slowly blew it out, feeling his lips quiver a bit. ‘Shit shit,’ he thought. Meanwhile Seb had pulled himself down into another strong heave. This one was a little more wet, the veins in sebs neck protruding as he urged hard. Chris put a hand on his back to not only sooth him but to calm the anxiety spins that seemed to be threatening his own body. He was able to keep it together though and he was super glad for that.
Seb spit and lifted his head from the bucket, allowing one of the staff to take it. “I’ll clean this out and leave it back here for you just in case.” The girl said.
Seb nodded, “Thankyou,” he said weekly. He stood back up slowly. “Thankyou.” He said quietly to Chris, but when Chris didn’t acknowledge him he looked up to him and noticed his friend had gone a bit pale.
“You ok?” He said, still raspy from being sick.
“Ya I’m ok.” Chris sort of lied, but he didn’t want to stress out his friend.
“K I think I can go back now.”
“Yeah um..ya let’s go.” Chris said and they both slowly made their way around the banner, though now in the opposite direction back out to the fans.
The rest of the day went as well as it could be considering Seb was feeling under the weather. sitting down to sign autographs really helped as he didn’t have to be on his feet. He surely would have been screwed if he had to spend the day on his feet feeling the way he did. As for Chris he felt almost 90% now that he was sitting and not watching Seb spill his guts, but he’d be lying if he said he wasn’t worried.
Chris looked over to reassure Sebastian at around 4pm when there was about 200 people left in the autograph line, which actually can go pretty quickly if they’re all moving along at a steady pace, but once 530pm hit Seb was practically falling asleep sitting up and Chris felt like he was getting dizzy. ‘Did I drink water at all?’ He thought to himself, but found a nearly empty water bottle next to him. Yes he had. He knew he ate. Chris looked again to Seb and gave him a little nudge jerking him out of his daze when the fan in front of him was staring a bit confused. He took a deep breath snapping out of it, “s’rry..really tired.” He sort of slurred and tried his best to smile. The fan was really great, she was calm and gentle, exactly what Seb needed right now. He signed her item and gave her another smile but couldn’t help to blink a long tired blink, though when he opened his eyes again there was another more bubbly girl standing in front of him bouncing on her heels absolutely star struck. Her energy alone was making him even more nauseated than he already was, maybe it was because she was moving around so much. He actually had to look away for a minute to regain his own bearings. He quickly signed her item feeling a little bad about rushing her along but he really thought it would be best if he signed her item instead of puking all over it.
It was 730pm now, the line of 200 people had slowed so their time signing autographs had also obviously slowed. The very last girl was just walking toward the doors when suddenly Chris turned to the side and threw up all over the floor. To be honest not even he was expecting that. He’d been almost fine one second then out of nowhere it’s like shit hit the fan, his body gave and he was finished. Was he really ‘just’ holding it together? Sebastian was already asleep on the table next to him. He probably would have followed suit if he’d seen Chris get sick.
Chris didn’t even have hardly a seconds time to breath before he was emptying again full bodied all over the floor before a bag was held under his mouth. And he didn’t stop, he heaved again spilling even more. He heard someone say ‘shit’ then a hand placed to his back rubbing circles. Then he heard someone ask for some water and a cold hand towel. The girl who’d been walking out heard the commotion and turned around to see what it was and saw everyone helping Chris, but she didn’t know why. She was instantly worried but was ushered out of there before she could even react. The door closed behind her and all she could do was stand there..staring at the door like omg. She decided she’s stick around, ‘maybe they had to leave out this way,’ she thought. She was a curious person by nature, maybe even a little nosey but this actually worried her so she just really wanted to know.
Back in the room Chris was still leaned over gagging into the bag, Seb still passed out next to him. The staff knew Sebastian was sick, but Chris? They had no idea, this was a shock!
