Familiar Face..
My eyes slowly fluttered open , now that a couple days have past the shock factor of not being at home is slowly fading away. I tensed up for a moment facing the bedroom window unsure weather or not Loki was beside me. I took a quiet breath before slowly peaking over my shoulder to see the bed completely empty , I let out a sigh of relief before stretching my arms and legs across the sheets , admittedly the bed was one of the comfiest I ever slept in. I rose from the bed looking around making sure I was alone , letting out another sigh upon seeing the room empty , It was hard to even tell what time it was here , as Jotunheim is quite a dark place the only light being blue just about peaking through , after yawning I looked around noticing a outfit left out for me , this being the usual routine , he seemed to take notice of what type of clothes I tend to wear whenever I go into the closet , today he left a casual dark green skater dress with some tights and a black cardigan , it was pretty to say the least , the colour green surprisingly growing on me after taking a shower I changed into the outfit and left the room hoping to run into Elise.
Ever since that talk with Loki and agreeing to start over , he's seemed slightly less frightening , however despite your talk it's been hard to talk for too long without things becoming well awkward , nevertheless it's better then constantly looking over my shoulder. I looked headed down the palace stairs hoping to find Elise , since arriving she has been nothing but sweet and a decent friend to me. Upon reaching the main hall I was greeted to Loki standing confidently his trademark grin spread across his face as he looked me over , "Good morning darling , I do hope your rest was pleasant.." , since meeting Loki and Thor over time it still amuses me the way they both speak , "I slept good thanks" he nodded walking over to me "Your outfit is lovely might I add.." , I still couldn't help but flush slightly at the compliment before my mind went into overdrive , overthinking the compliment slowly morphing it into a act of pity I muttered a quiet thank you glancing down , he took note of this frowning momentarily , he paused meaning to bring up the upcoming arrangement with Thor as much as a nuisance it was to him.
"Y/N if you don't mind I'd like talk to you about-" he paused for a moment turning towards the window , he grimaced rolling his eyes he turned to leave "Apologies dear but it seems we have company.. give me a moment , I wont be long" with that he disappeared leaving you alone , Honestly I was intrigued by what got him to leave so suddenly , he had mentioned company , at the back of my mind I couldn't help but think it was help , however I couldn't let myself get my hopes up , Not knowing how long he would be I went to see if I could find something to eat , the food here being extremely fresh and all.
After finding a red apple I headed to the library to relax while I waited on Loki to come back and tell me what's going on , at least since arriving here I've been able to learn quite a bit about Jotunheim , a bit more information on the climate , and how frost giants well survive , from what I've read the people on Jotunheim are quite hostile and resentful towards Asgard and Midgard , the biology is pretty interesting unlike Loki who appears Asgardian , most other frost giants are solely blue and as the title implies giants so a lot bigger then humans and their bodies are almost ice cold to adapt to the climate. Along with Jotunheim I learned a bit more about Asgard by researching the war between the two realms , it amazed me that the initial war was over Midgard , Asgard wished to protect it whilst Jotunheim wished to rule it. The name Odin came up a lot , I recognized that name Thor and Loki's father , despite not by blood whenever Thor mentioned his brother he always referred to him as family.
I continued reading when suddenly I heard someone clear there throat I jumped slightly seeing Loki with a unamused expression he looked frustrated , after a moment he finally spoke "Y/N dear , there's someone here to see you.." I looked at him in confusion for a moment before I noticed someone walking in beside him , to my surprise it was"
"Thor!!" I couldn't help but yell in excitement as I ran over jumping slightly giving him a massive hug which he happily returned embracing me tightly with a smile he chuckled , "I'm happy to see you too Lady Y/N" he smiled Loki had a envious look on his face seeing the greeting Thor got. Thor glanced behind him to his disapproving brother "Brother perhaps might I have some time alone with Ms Stark so we can catch up" Loki rolled his eyes begrudgingly muttering a 'fine' under his breath before leaving.
Thor turned to me with a smile now that we were alone "I am relieved to see you're alright Y/N , we've been worried , has my brother hurt you" , I looked down for a moment before shaking my head "No he hasn't hurt me , but Thor is my Dad okay? Loki said he was okay but I don't exactly trust him.." Thor nodded taking something out from his cape he paused "Your Mother and Father requested I give you these" he smiled slightly extending his hand holding a letter and my favorite elephant toy from when I was little.. I paused seeing them before taking them from his hand I held the toy close to my chest comforted by the familiar scent , I teared up slightly seeing it , I went to open the letter before Thor interjected "Perhaps wait till you have a moment alone to read it , only a suggestion of course.." I nodded slipping it into my cardigan.
I frowned looking down at the toy , "T Thor how's my mom and dad.." , I saw him hesitate clearly choosing his words carefully , "Well , I will not be dishonest with you they are expectedly distraught.. they miss you and worry as any good parents would.. but myself and the rest of the avengers are staying by their side and we shall not let them lose hope ,we will get you home" I nodded relieved my parents aren't alone , especially my dad , Thor continued "They both love you very much , and your Aunt Romanoff and Uncle Banner both said to pass on that they want you to stay strong that they both miss you and will not give up on getting you home" I smiled comforted by his words knowing that your family is there for you.
"Thanks Thor , I'm really happy to see a familiar face.. how did you get Loki to agree to letting you see me" he chuckled for a moment "I have my ways , whether he admits it or not he would not want a war on his hands , a compromise was in his best interest , I don't know if he has been threatening you however I assure you he swore to me he would not harm you" I sighed that being a major relief hearing it from him.
"I must also say asgardian clothing suits you Y/N " I smiled flattered , I was slowly growing more accustomed to formal nevertheless I do miss my baggy hoodies though, Thors eyes widened momentarily before he beamed "Oh right I had almost forgotten! I brought you something myself" he pulled out a bar of chocolate that was slightly melted but the sentiment was nice nonetheless.
I was tempted to bring up what Loki said the other day but decided against it , I'd wait till I had more information myself.. "So how often can you visit.." I smiled and he returned it "Once a week I'd guess however if you ever urgently need me , call 'Heimdall' for help and he will alert me immediately , I nodded taking note of the name in case I ever needed it. I sighed after a moment looking at him "D Do you think Loki's ever gonna .. let me go home? I don't want my dad getting hurt trying to fight him , Thor paused momentarily "In all honesty I'm afraid I don't know , my brother well.. he's never been predictable , I don't really know what his long term plan is , I was expecting him to take you somewhere on midgard and perhaps temporarily tamper with your mind till Stark found you , I hadn't expected this.. has he.. told you anything of his motives?" I paused unsure what to say , well if he's going to be visiting every week I'll be able to find out more before saying anything else , I shook my head and he sighed in response.
Thor continued "Perhaps you could write your parents a letter just to let them have something from you to put their minds at ease.." I nodded quickly running off to get some paper to write.

After a short while I came back handing Thor the letter discreetly , "Thank you Thor.. make sure they know I'm okay.." he nodded once again tucking the letter away , he opened his mouth to speak when suddenly the sound of someone clearing their throat broke the silence we both turned to see Loki behind us looking unamused he slowly approached speaking up "Well Brother not that it isn't lovely of you to visit , but don't you think it's time you were on your way , run back to Midgard to let your little friends know your evil younger brother hasn't hurt a hair on Ms Starks head" Thor hesitated looking from him to me he looked uncertain I gave him a reassuring look "It's okay.." I whispered and he gave a smile before looking back to Loki "Very well Brother.. I will see you both again soon a he had a stern look towards him to give him a warning before turning to me "Farewell Lady Y/N do take care" he wrapped his arms around me giving me another hug much to Loki's disapproval , before letting go and exiting the palace.
Loki groaned as Thor exited , he then approached me with a grin "Happy now my dear? I hadn't realized you were such close friends with my brother" I paused looking him over slightly confused "You seem pretty.. het up over it" his face changed immediately to a defensive look "Absolutely not I don't envy my oaf of a brother.. besides" he grinned placing a hand on my shoulder "I believe I still got the best end of the deal here.. don't you?" , I blushed slightly at that glancing away he chuckled retracting his hand "You're quite the sight when you're flushed darling.." I placed a hand to my face instinctively "S Shut up.." I muttered irritated , he kept that same grin plastered on his face "Well then now that Thor is out of the what would you say to drink?" , I paused unsure but after speaking to Thor I figured there was no harm "Alright.. sure"

I gazed at the red liquid being poured in the glass before he handed it to me before making the bottle disappear , I mumbled a thank you and he smiled in response "Kind of you to grace me with your words Y/N.." I glanced at the drink momentarily "Well the silence gets awkward after a while dontcha think?" he chuckled nodding in response "Quite right .. so then I'm quite intrigued by you , daughter of Tony Stark , you completely evaded me during my attack on New York .. even after I got information on Nick Fury's team , never was there a word about Stark having a daughter.." I sniggered slightly at that " Actually he didn't know about me at the time but after everything that happened my dad felt the need to let him know , whole thing made him even more protective" he nodded in response before taking another sip of the wine , "So um Loki.. howcome it's just Elise and you here.. no one else" he raised his eyebrow for a moment unsure how to respond "Well I hardly need anyone else here why surround myself with potential threats , Elise handles this place and I don't" he hesitated for a moment "I never needed anyone , least I" he stopped "Nevermind" he glanced down for just a moment he was vulnerable before his mask returned and he looked back to me with a grin "Enough about me darling I'm far more interested in you.. I must say I admire what you did back on Midgard many others would have remined silent in the situation you were in"
I frowned for a moment "I couldn't just stand by and watch him die.. anyone would've done the same , it's nothing admirable.." he raised a eyebrow placing his glass down momentarily "Oh I beg to differ.. not just anyone jumps in like you did my dear , many would opt to run or remain silent.. you seem to refrain from giving yourself much credit.. try not to sell yourself so short " , It was really strange hearing him say that honestly I wasn't even sure what to make of it, I just sorta nodded whilst sipping my drink , "I'm also rather curious how you reacted to Midgard's discovery of life and civilization outside of their own , shocking or had you always believed in it" , I shrugged "Well I always thought there was life out there but seeing New York being invaded was a lot to take in especially when my dad was involved.. but it sorted confirmed what I already believed" , he seemed surprised at that "Well Stark obviously made sure you had a good education clearly you aren't oblivious to everything like some , I like that , you aren't stupid by an stretch of the imagination" That was worded weirdly "Thanks I guess.." , he smiled slightly momentarily.

For the next while you both chatted to one another somewhat getting to know eachother better , for a while Loki really showing a more human side , not the cunning monster you were led to believe he was , approaching the evening after you had both ate you were once again sitting having a drink , after a short while he left to fetch another bottle of wine upon returning he found you dozed off on the couch , Loki smiled softly not expecting you to have fallen asleep so suddenly , he placed the bottle down quietly approaching very gently picking you up and bringing you to the bedroom , very gently placing you on the bed with a snap of his fingers a blanket draped around you , he couldn't help but admire your sleeping form for a moment , before carefully leaning down gently placing a kiss on your cheek whispering softly "Rest well darling.." before leaving the room shutting the door , Elise stood not far down the hall having seen the exchange "If you don't mind my saying Master Loki , Ms Stark really seems to be bringing you happiness , he paused glancing over "You know Elise , you may be right in that regard.."
