Are you with me or not?
Thor's POV
I landed in Asgard after my interaction with Loki , angry and hurt from failing to talk my brother out of this ridiculous scheme , hurt seeing how far he has turned from the brother I once knew. Heimdall was there to greet me , he looked my way with sympathy "Unable to convince Loki I see.." I sighed turning to him "Afraid not my friend , my brother unfortunately is as stubborn as ever , the most I could do to ensure Lady Y/N's safety is convince him to allow me to visit her frequently to ensure she is unharmed , I fear this won't be enough to stop Stark from taking severe action , nor could I blame him". Heimdall nodded in agreement before continuing "Tony Stark is a father so ultimately he will stop at nothing to get her back" I nodded knowing he's right from the moment I found out about Stark's child I knew he would stop at nothing to protect his family I suppose that's when I started to truly admire Stark.
"I worry for Lady Y/N , I may not have known her long but in the time I've known her I've got to know her , she might as well be family now , the avengers have become a family in of itself.." I chuckled "I told her many stories of Asgard , promised to bring her here one day as soon as Stark gave his permission , I even told her of you Heimdall" he smiled at that "I saw.. she seems like a feisty young lady , Tony Stark should be very proud as should her mother".
I was dreading breaking the news to Stark , I knew he was going to react badly as much as I don't trust Loki I know he wouldn't swear on our mothers life if he truly did mean Y/N harm. I sighed glancing to Heimdall , "My friend I fear hard times are approaching us.. this stunt Loki has pulled is going to cause unfathomable trouble for us and midgard.. I must return there at least try to somewhat relieve Stark and tomorrow I will go straight to Jotunheim to see her , that much I can promise."
Heimdall nodded opening the biofrost , looking my way "I wish you luck your majesty.. you shall always have a loyal ally here." I returned a smile to him before making my return to Midgard.

I soon arrived at Stark tower not long after returning to Midgard , I entered the room seeing Stark , Pepper and some of my fellow avengers , Natasha and Banner were standing together discussing the situation while Rogers was with Stark and Pepper . Not long after I entered everyone turned to face me before racing over asking a barrage of questions immediately seeing that I failed to bring Lady Y/N home. After a moment Tony yells raising his hands a firm "Quiet Down!" before approaching me a dead serious expression on his face "Well Thunder Boy what happened , Is she okay? If that brother of yours has laid a hand on her I swear-" I cut him off raising my hands in a relaxed manner "Stark give me a moment to answer your questions please.. I have spoken with Loki and I'm afraid I have failed to convince him to release Lady Y/n , however I have managed to-" before I could even finish Stark interjected throwing his arms up walking off "Great so we've wasted our time then , time we could've used planning an attack to get her back" Pepper approached him placing a comforting hand on his shoulder to try calm him down I once again spoke up "No Stark my friend I had not finished I may have been unable to convince my brother to let her go however I managed to convince him to make a compromise of sorts" , he turned back to me a stern yet intrigued expression he muttered "Pray tell.." , I feared no matter how I phrased it would not be enough to calm him down , "Well after talking with him we agreed I would be free to frequently visit Lady Y/N , and ensure she is safe.. during this time I can pass on information and try wear Loki down over time"
Tony paused for a moment taking what I had just said in before he started again "That's all well and good but you seem to be forgetting that your brother is the what god of lies and you trust him to keep his word , for all you know he could be hurting her , you didn't even see her did you , and to top it all off , your dear brother is skilled with illusions , so for all we know you could visit and be seeing a fake " I sighed at the reaction trying to gather my thoughts before answering him "Stark , I assure you I can see through my brothers illusions I've had a lifetime to learn how to do so , I promise you I will ensure her safety no matter what"
Pepper butted in after a moment unsure if her idea would be feasible , "Well it's not ideal but what if while Thor visits her we could give him a letter he can pass on , if that were the case we'd no Loki couldn't here any ideas to get her home , as well as that we would know if her handwriting was forged , we gave her lessons about hidden messages and little writing details so we will know it's directly from her" she looked to her spouse with a slight frown "It wont be forever Tony but for now it's the best we can do , we will get her home but we have to be careful at least we can be sure she isn't hurt"
I cleared my throat after Pepper had finished "This may not be of much assurance to you but , Loki swore on our mothers life he would not harm her , and from what he's told me her conditions are that of a noble asgardian meaning she is not being confined to a dungeon or prison of any kind , I understand my brother is untrustworthy but I can at least somewhat protect her this way , I truly mean this when I say I care for your daughter as if she were family , and I will ensure she is kept safe" I spoke my words with sincerity hoping that for the time being this will help.
Stark took a moment glancing to Pepper with a worried look "I want her home Pep , with her family where she belongs" I frowned staying silent. The pair hugged one another before looking to me and the rest of the avengers , he took a breath "Okay for now , it's the best we got , but we are not giving here , I won't stop till he's home" I could only nod respectfully before looking to the others to see if anyone had anything to add.
Steve paused looking like he was hesitating "Hang on so we're just sitting and waiting then , leaving her? , why don't we just go there right now and take her back we beat him before what is stopping us from beating him again" , Tony said noting putting his head in his hands , Banner quietly started talking "Rogers calm down , we'd be going in completely blind-" Steve snapped back "No no we have Thor he knows the place-" not wanting to see my friends fight I cut in "Loki has an army , the climate is uninhabitable to humans , especially for battle ,as well as that it could lead to war and another attack on Midgard , at least let us keep that plan as a last resort" Steve seemed unconvinced "She could be dead by then" the room went silent Tony clenching his fist , Pepper immediately decided to bring Tony to another room to talk in private while everyone turned to Steve with a glare before each in turn giving out in some fashion Nat only just now speaking started "Rogers what the hell was that , Stark is doing bad enough as it is and you go saying that?" , Banner continued "Way out of line he obviously is thinking that himself out of everyone here we were trying to keep him the most rational , she's his daughter , you don't know how bad that could've hit him" , Steve looked to everyone as though he was the only voice of reason "Have you all lost you minds?!-" getting frustrated I raised my voice "Enough Rogers! , this won't help us or Stark in the slightest , Loki won't kill her , I'm certain of that , but for the time being this is the best plan , so please my friend restrain yourself" Steve sighed putting a finger to his temple realising his words were harsh , "Alright Alright.. but I don't think we should wait to long , that is the most I'll say"
Finally everyone having settled down I could stop for a moment everyone kept silent before the group partially broke off to discuss some things , whilst Rogers left Stark tower till we had more information , I was about to depart for a moment myself before I heard Stark's voice "Hey Thunderboy , can I've a quick word" I turned to see Stark on the balcony now dawning his signature shades , I followed him and stepped out , for a moment we both stood in silence looking at the darkening sky before Stark broke the silence , "Here" I turned to see in his hand a envelope addressed to Y/N I nodded taking the letter carefully storing it away , "I promise I will get this to her Tony" he nodded in response pausing before continuing "Just .. tell her , her old man loves her okay and is trying to get her home" I nodded respectfully "I will" , He looked up and for just a moment I could see a tear run under his glasses , I placed a hand on his shoulder "You will see her again" he once again nodded this time staying silent I was about to leave before I heard the door open.
Pepper stepped out teary eyed and walked over to me , close to her chest she was holding a stuffed toy of some kind she spoke up her voice filled with sadness "C Could you give this to her.. i it always helped her sleep.." I frowned seeing both Lady Y/N's parents so distraught I nodded taking the toy upon closer inspection it was a slightly scruffy Elephant with a messy blue ribbon on its head , I tucked it away before wrapping my arms around pepper in a comforting embrace "I'll make sure your daughter is kept safe Ms Stark.." she returned my hug whispering a quiet thank you before returning to Tony.
I took my que to leave them in peace returning to the main room , I turned to Banner and Natasha talking up "Farewell for now my friends , I shall return after I ensure Y/N's safety" before I bid them farewell each of them gave words for me to pass on to Y/N , "Tell her to stay strong and keep her eyes open and that her aunt misses her" Nat muttered Banner looked at me "Tell her we're all here for her and we won't ever give up on her , not for a second" I nodded endeared by their heartfelt words "I will pass your words on , farewell my friends , take care"
After departing the building I returned to Asgard for the night prepared to visit Jotunheim the moment the sun rises.
