Never Stopped

Arya had been back in Mystic Falls for over a week and she was back in her own home. Thor offered for her to stay at the estate but she declined. After Loki's honest words of affection she needed some time alone to really sort through everything she was feeling. And not just regarding the Odinson brothers. Darcy had to go back to the lab in California, but Jane stayed behind. Hela and Wanda still hadn't been caught. And they had been silent since that night when they attacked Arya. Brunhlid wondered if they had given up. But Thor assured her that Hela never gave up on anything in her life. Absolutely nothing. Erin went back to her place to give Arya the space she requested. But she made sure Arya knew she was only a phone call away. They did speak on the phone often, but Arya kept it short. She didn't want to let on that she was having a hard time.

Bruce even came by once to deliver blood bags. It was nice to see him. He seemed more happy to know someone else knew about his little side business. He was more of a science guy, and not very emotional. So he kept his visit at the Foster family home short. Which Arya appreciated. She didn't know Bruce very well but the little she did know she liked. He was shy and honest. Very to the point. Whenever she had an issue and she didn't want to bother Stephen with it, he was always available.

It was a Wednesday afternoon and the sun was hot in the sky. Arya sat in her favorite spot with one of her favorite novels. The front porch of her childhood home while reading "Lord of the Flies." A story about struggle, agony, and mental perish. As she finished the last words of the fourth chapter she looked up and was surprised to see Thor standing at the end of her home's walkway. He smiled with his hands in his pockets. That smile that won her over to begin with. She uncrossed her legs and moved over in her seat. She patted the spot next to her and he happily walked up to join her.

"Thought you ran out on me." Thor said and Arya bumped her shoulder with his.

"How are you?" She asked.

"Good. Just worried about you."

"Sorry I haven't called."

"It's alright. Did you miss me?" Thor asked raising an eyebrow and Arya laughed lightly.

"Of course I did. Just haven't gotten around to actually interacting with people just yet. But I can see the light."

"I missed you too." Thor said and Arya leaned her head on his shoulder.

"Loki told me about your job. Sorry to hear it."

"Thank you. It was a hard decision, but the right one. How is he?"

"Loki? Fine. Why? Did something happen?"

"No. Just curious." Arya said not wanting to admit she had a slight pull to the dark haired vampire. She knew she felt something. But it was for Thor.

"He is very alluring, my brother." Thor said leaning back and folding his arms. Arya smiled to herself. He wasn't wrong. But he obviously had no idea the effect he had on her or else he would be swooping in on her any chance he got. She could sense he was waiting for her to say something. Anything to suggest she felt an ounce of feeling for him. So instead of saying anything. Arya decided to take a chance and leaned in and kissed him.

Thor stilled for a moment but then relished in the feeling of her lips on his. He pulled her close and nearly lost himself in her. Arya laughed as she pulled away. Slightly embarrassed about how forward she had just been. She sat facing the daylight and Thor did the same. After an awkward silent few minutes they looked to each other and burst into laughter. Thor wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close again.

"One step at a time?" Thor asked looking down to her and she nodded.

As the day neared it's end Thor bid his farewells to Arya with remorse. He offered for her to come stay at the estate once more but she declined. One step at a time she reminded him and he agreed. It had been a while since Arya was romantically interested in anyone. And especially since Jane had previously been with Thor, it might cause some issues. So before they proceeded with their new found admiration, Arya decided to tell Jane.

The night grew late and Jane had finally returned home. She looked exhausted. Blood stained her grey shirt and her hair was disheveled. Erin held her up as they walked over to the kitchen. Arya stood and met them.

"What happened?" Arya asked concerned, looking Jane over. Erin sat her down at the kitchen table and pulled up her pant leg. Her ankle was swollen.

"I tripped." Jane said before groaning when Erin left and returned to her side with an ice pack pressed to the flushed skin.

"Tracked down Hela. She was just outside of town. Laying low in an abandoned house off the highway. Wanda was there. Jane fell running down some pretty rotted out stairs." Erin explained and Arya knelt down to Jane and examined the cut on her right forearm. She then bit into her own finger and pressed the blood into Jane's cut. Jane winced and was about to protest when she noticed the cut begin to heal.

"Little trick Natasha showed me." Arya said.

"Natasha?" Erin asked as she leaned on the kitchen counter.

"Yeah, she and Loki are friends. I guess? She was in New York."

"Got your own little vampire book club huh?" Jane asked cracking a smile.

"I wish!" Arya said faking enthusiasm. All three of them laughed at that.

"I have to tell you something." Arya said pulling up a chair.

"You and Thor." Jane said and Arya looked at Erin with a suspicious glare.

"I didn't have to tell her. Thor doesn't exactly hide his feelings."

"It's fine. Do whatever you want. Just don't hurt him."

"Well, well, well. Jane Foster, caring about the feelings of a vampire. Who would have guessed?" Arya joked and Jane narrowed her eyes at her.

"Can we go back to being sisters now?" Erin asked hoping for the best. Always the optimist.

"We never stopped." Jane said and Arya leaned in and hugged her sister.

She didn't expect to make up with her so quickly. But with everything going on it made sense. Their rivalry didn't make sense to continue any longer. There was too much at stake. Lives were at risk. It was either band together and face everything head on or disband and face losing the battle ahead.

"Now that everything is golden again. When do we kill Hela and her sidekick?" Arya said and Erin looked at her with surprise. She didn't expect Arya to want to get involved in that aspect. But she was a vampire now; and a powerful asset.

"Call in the Calvary. We meet in the morning." Jane said and Arya and Erin nodded.
