Summary
Peter and Y/N Parker have been through everything together. That is until Peter began spending time with Tony Stark and Y/N started to pick up the slack with the absence of Uncle Ben. Can the twins keep up their close dynamic with the loss of yet another loved one? (I hate this and myself, but I hope you enjoy it lol)

Chapter 1

Peter closed his eyes and began to count while Y/N made her way down the stairs to find a hiding spot. The first place she noticed was her father’s office. The door was slight ajar, which it never was because they weren’t allowed in. Not that that had ever stopped her.

She walked in, about to close the door behind her when she noticed the state of the room. There were papers everywhere. The whiteboard was smudged. The window was open, letting rain fall on the papers on the floor.

“Y/N you know you’re not a-“ the older Parker cut himself off seeing everything strewn about. He quickly grabbed his smaller daughter’s hand and opened the desk drawer she was standing by. She watched as he opened the false bottom of the drawer and heaved a sigh of relief before taking out a file and shoving it in a briefcase.

Noticing his daughter’s curious face he quickly put on a false, clam demeanor. “Go get your brother. You two are going to stay with Uncle Ben and Aunt May for a bit,” he smiled slightly hoping to ease her nerves.

Within 20 minutes the Parkers were sitting in a townhouse with the two kids on the stairs waiting as the adults talked in hushed voices. Y/N noticed Peter worrying and picking at the skin around his nails and silently took ahold of both hands in her own, offering Peter the same small smile, which calmed him down immensely.

The adults seemed to have reached a verdict, telling the children that their parents would be out of town, just for a while.

“It’s all right Peter, we’ll be back before you know it,” their father was attempting to move the 8-year-old away from tears.

“Hey.” Y/N looked up at the whisper to see her mother standing over her. “Take care of your brother, ok? Make sure he’s ok.”

Y/N smiled and nodded before tightly hugging her mother.

That was the last time they saw their parents.
