Part 3
A couple of exchange students start at Chilton, including Claire Bennet, who is a mutant. They are at the school to look for Jess. They were recruited by what they think is a place helping them with their powers and doing good work, but they are actually being used as child soldiers by Striker.
Jess and Claire used to date (more or less) about a year before, when they met and she just found out about her powers. However, things ended badly because Jess couldn't trust her and she was recruited and convinced that he was the bad guy. Claire knows him as Peter.
For Rory, Dean ends up giving her an ultimatum, either him or Jess. She chooses to stay friends with Jess, and in a way chooses herself.
Dean starts a fight with Jess later, either alone or with a couple of friends, and Jess easily wins the fight with no scratches on him.
P.S. Jess finds an old motorcycle that still works.
P. P. S. Rory and Jess may occasionally do actual studying, like him helping her with preparing for tests or talking about books.
