To the rescue
chapter 6
Agent venom and I sat there for god knows how long. Stuck in the sticky web. Agent venom squirming trying to get free.
“How, is his, webbing, stronger, than mine?!” Asked agent venom grunting in between his words trying to escape the sticky ropes.
“Will you stop! Your getting on my nerves!” I tell him.
“Sorry it’s just, I’m worried. Every time we let him go by himself something bad happens.” Explains Agent Venom.
“I know.” I reply.
“Why doesn’t he trust us to go with him? We could be great help if he would just let us.” Agent venom continued.
“I know!”
“He is such a idiot!” Agent venom yelled in frustration.
“I KNOW! Flash I know. He is an idiot. But he’s our idiot. And we should know by now that him being Spider-Man causes him to be selfless. He puts others before himself. It’s our job to make sure he doesn’t always put others first. So hear me out, I have a plan.” I say. Agent venom nodded.
“So if I position my wrist at the right angle I can activate my blasters and slice the webbing off.” I explain to flash.
“What! Your hand is facing toward your face!” I look down at my hand and see one of them out and try to angle it upward a bit. Then I look at agent venoms hands.
“Your hands aren’t even free! Do you have a better idea?!” He shakes his head nodding no. “Well this is our only chance.” Just then I hear a laugh, or a quiet chuckle. Far across the room I see a dock ock. I had totally forgotten he was in the big room with us. He started to loudly talk to us.
“Ha ha, you guys think you can save him. He’s probably dead by now.”
“What do you know! Spidey is strong, and can totally take out the goblin.” Agent Venom said angrily.
“Goblin knew Spider-Man would come alone so he had a trap. He and I have been creating special gases. The best one is designed to suffocate people. To kill. He wanted to test it on Spider-Man first. He fell right into the trap.”
Me and agent venom look at ock in disbelief.
“Your lying!” I say.
“Why would I lie? What good would that do for me?” Ock asked with sarcasm.
“Ignore him.” I tell agent venom. “He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
“How long has it been?” Agent venom asked me.
“I don’t know let me check.” I look at the screens in my suit and see that it’s been 35 minutes. “Oh god it’s been about 35 minutes! I’m just going to blast us out! Spidey could be in trouble.”
“Ok, hurry up though. And try not to blast me in the face.” With that I aim the blaster at the webbing moving my head as the blasters slice the webbing where my arm is. My right arm was free. I laughed in relief. Agent venom cheered. “I knew it would work! Never doubted you buddy!” I roll my eyes and continue to slice the webbing then I get agent venom out as well and help him up.
“I messaged the others and told them to come grab ock and electro.” I told agent venom. But he had ran off.
“Forget about them! Spidey needs our help!” Flash said. I swung after him.
We swung toward the main training area, hearing fighting. We looked through the doors and saw goblin punching an unmasked Spider-Man. But spidey was barely fighting back.
“Why is his mask off?!” Agent venom asked. He went to open the door with the button but it wouldn’t budge.
“I don’t know but he needs our help. Move!” He moved and I tried to hack into the door. I took off the top of it button thingy and saw lots of wires. I tried to rewire it but nothing was working.
“Hurry up!” Said agent venom.
“It’s not opening!” I said I looked through the door window again and saw goblin talking to Spider-Man who was on the floor. He looked like he was having trouble breathing. That’s when I notice there was thick gas in there and the goblin was wearing a clear mask. ock was right. It was a trap. And Spider-Man was suffocating. I worked harder, but it just wouldn’t open. I thought I had it but I didn’t. It must have been like 10 minutes before agent venom started to get annoyed.
“Oh my god! Move, I’ll open it my way.” He shoved me away from the door button and blasted his rockets at it. The door didn’t open.
“Great, now we can’t get in at all!” I looked and saw goblin leave and Spider-Man crawled after him in pain. “Whatever.” With anger I blasted at the door button too. And it worked! Just as the door opened, Spidey collapsed. I flew toward him.
