You did

It felt like a push, a rough shove. Then nothing. Her lungs gave in at the impact, but after the initial shock, she felt as if she could breathe water. Like a sea creature, calm and weightless.

Eve was a mermaid too, her hair floating in golden light while everything slowed down.

The warmth spilling over her back was pulling her away into a peaceful slumber, to be absolved.

And the last thing she saw was Eve's hand reaching out to her.

Even now, she wasn't scared. When she reached for Eve to take her with her everything went black.
