Chapter 14
"Um sure.." You peaked around Tony and looked at Fury. You could tell he was a man who had extreme power. Fury cleared his throat and reached his hand out. Slowly you stepped out from behind Tony and took a step towards Fury. You glanced at Tony and could tell he was clearly tense however, You took Furys hand and shook it.
"Do you know why exactly I'm even here?" He asked mid shake. You pulled your hand back and shook your head "Im here for that agent but Im also here to see why the hell Stark here is so keen on keeping you. You seem pretty scrawny to me." He eyed you up and down causing you to feel very vulnerable.
"I.. Uh." You took a small step back and Tony reached for your arm and gently pulled you next to him.
"She is not Scrawny and don't you talk to her that way." You looked at Tony and felt your heart flutter. No ones every stood up for you like that.
"Let her talk Stark. I mean it." He hissed. He looked even more annoyed at you.
"I am not scrawny. Like Tony said you have your agent why don't you just leave me alone? Im not hurting anyone."
"anymore. You see y/n I know about you attacking that lab. I know how you some how managed to stay alive with Hydra for ten years. You see No one has ever done that without being there pawn" He took a step towards you "That's why I'm here. You are either a spy or one hell of a Soldier" You felt your anger start to rise. Pushing back to urge to freeze this guy you bit your cheek. "Looking at you I can tell you're no soldier so that tells me you're a spy"
"I am not a damn spy! I fought like hell to keep my sanity just so I could escape that hell hole the first chance I got which I did!" You screamed at him. You felt pure rage as you took a step towards Fury "You don't even know the kind of hell I went through! Instead of asking me you decide to belittle me and try to tear me down and its bullshit!" Tony took a step back causing you to look and you noticed the floor was all ice. Black and green ice. You looked back at Fury who was smirking. Your eyes were glowing but in the purple glow was streaks of green. Loki was keeping his distance but also protecting you by adding to your power
"Don't even think about it Nick." Tony stepped between you two when he saw him smirk. Putting on a bracelet he clicked a button causing his hand pieces of his suit to form on his hands "She is under our protection and she is staying here"
"That's not your choice to make stark. Y/n under suspicion of being controlled by Hydra I am taking you in." He reached out towards you and Tony grabbed his arm "Tony. If you want her to have any chance of making it back here you will back down" Tony looked back at you absolutely torn. Was he suppose to protect you now or let Fury take you and save you in the long run. Fury held his ear "enter now." the elevator opened and four armed agents came out and swarmed you. Panic began to bubble up in you as you started to have a flash back from Hydra. Tony quickly turned to you. His eyes pleading for an answer
"Y/n I can stop this but if I do I can't promise this will end. If they take you now I have a chance to get you back here." Fury pushed past Tony and took your arms. Quickly he placed two limiter bracelets on your wrists and secured them. Almost immediately you felt yourself grow insanely weaker. You pushed your power forward and began freezing the air around you. Your Shield tried to form but it was so holy it would provide no protection. You let out a scream as you pushed your power forward more causing the brackets to start to burn from their power trying to control yours. "Leave her alone!" Tony was grabbed by one of the guards and restrained "You're hurting her damnit!" He was struggling against him with all his might. As soon as he went to blast at The agents around you the agent restraining his hit Tony against the head knocking him out. You looked over and saw Tony go slack in the agents arms Which triggered your anger once more. Throwing your arms out you blasted everyone away, keeping Tony safe from impact. Fury quickly picked himself up with a gun drawn
"Damnit Y/n stand down! I don't want to have to trank you" He looked at you and could feel your power. If you weren't wearing those limiting bracelets everyone would of been killed by that blast. You glanced over to Tony and saw he was knocked out. Your vision was going in and out and you felt your knees buckle under you. Dropping to your knees you fought hard to keep awake. You felt a gust of air and gold sparkles started to fall around you. Fury lowered his gun and watched as a portal formed directly behind you. Stephen walked out with his shields already up
"that is quite enough!" He spoke with such a strong voice you felt warmth from him as he kneeled down to you and helped you up. You were barely able to keep your eyes open but forced yourself to. It was only Lokis powers keeping you awake at this point. "What kind of agency is this shield if this is how you treat someone who's been tormented for years?!" Strange was angry. He heard your scream which caused him to break from his thoughts but then he felt the blast. He looked you over and could tell you had drained your magic but somehow you were still awake. Once he saw your eyes he knew how. The purple glow was fading out but the green was still very much there. He leaned close and whispered into your ear "Its a good think Loki is protecting you but I am here now." You felt chills run down your spine and instantly felt Stephens arm tighten his hold.
"Doctor she is a danger and until we can decide how she is to be handled she is to come with us." Fury spoke you could see the anger all over his face "Look what she just did to my men"
"Your men are of no concern to me and I can tell from Stark over there that she reacted due to you hurting someone close to her. This is on you. Now leave with that agent you originally came for. She is no danger to anyone as I am personally training her." At that moment Fury sighed and put the gun away completely
"She has one chance. If she screws this up I will personally see to it she's locked away for the rest of her life and there will be nothing anyone can do to change it. I hope for her sake she isn't a spy" He turned to the elevator and walked towards it. The guards quickly got to there feet and followed Fury. "Oh and another thing." Turning he looked directly at Strange and you. "I know Lokis power. If he ever tries to interfere again I'll see to it he's escorted off of earth." At that moment Loki teleported into the room directly in front of Fury.
"I was being kind not coming for you when you attacked her. I was being reasonable when I only aided her with my power. If you ever threaten me again Fury I won't be reasonable. I have done everything for you and your stupid club. Just because someone has powers doesnt make them evil. She's one hell of a woman I don't care what you do to me but you keep away from her or I will make what I did to New York look like.." Nick held up his hand
"Yeah yeah yeah got it. Just don't do it again." He turned away and walked into the elevator with his agents and left. Loki turned around to see you smiling softly at him as the green faded out finally causing you to pass completely out in Strange's arms.
"Loki I know you're worried But please help stark to the couch. Y/n won't be able to rest thinking Tony isn't safe." Loki walked over to Strange and you and lifted you up and gently placed you in Strange's arms then went over to assist Tony who was starting to wake up. Strange used alittle bit of his own magic to wake you up long enough to see so you'd be able to rest. You reached up to Stephen and patted his cheek smiling then slowly looked back at Loki looking flustered as he Lifted stark up and placed him on the couch. Tony was holding his head and looking completely ashamed of himself as he glanced at you and saw you.
"I almost let her go like pepper. I am an idiot to think she's safe with me. Thank god she's okay." Tony thought to himself However what he didn't know was you ended up hearing that. Being as exhausted you were didn't realize he didn't say it out loud
"You did fine..Tony.. Thank you for defending.. me.." You passed back out as your head rocked into Stephens chest he looked at Loki and Tony confused.
"Her powers growing." Loki walked over and took her from Stephen who at first didn't want to let her go but did to prevent arguing with Loki.
"Let me get those off of her." Tony stood up and walked over and used his Iron man gloves to break the bracelets off of her to find her wrists were badly burned "How the f-"
"She burned out Shields limiter tech" Loki interrupted and looked down at your wrists "She can't be just human there's no way" He went to turn to take you to your room when Strange put his hand on Lokis shoulder. Loki looked back but Strange looked down and shook his head. Loki continued out of the room. As he watched you he couldn't help but wonder.
Strange took a seat him also lost in thought. Tony sat next to him and put his head in his hands "For her to have that amount of power.. Can you still train her?"
"Of course I can. Anything she needs." Strange kept lost in thought. When he heard that scream he felt real worry for you. He felt his heart being pulled to you and he just couldn't understand it. As he sat there with Tony he realized something. After all this time and seeing that vision with you he knew he was going to fall for you. But were you going to feel the same? He thought about how protective Loki was of you and knew he was going to have one hell of a fight on his hands if he chose to get close to you.
"She's worth it Stephen." Tony spoke up almost like he could hear his thoughts. Stephen looked over at Tony "I know that look because I had it too two days ago. I just want her happy. I want her to have the life she deserves."
"She's worth it." He repeated as he stood to walk out of the room stopping at the door "But that also means I will do anything I can to be the one to make her happy." With that Tony walked out of the room to leave Stephen with his thoughts once more.
