Fighting HYDRA
The Avengers are in the process of infiltrating a HYDRA base in Sokovia, making their way through the woods and fighting soldiers. Tony flies up to the base, but hits the shield around it. “Shit!”
“Language!” Steve says as he looks up to the sky. “JARVIS. What’s the view from upstairs?”
JARVIS says that the central building is protected by a shield and says that Strucker’s technology is beyond any other HYDRA base they’ve taken.
More HYDRA troops run into the field with high tech weaponry. Thor lands on one and kicks another. “Loki’s scepter must be here.” He says as he kicks down a trooper. “Strucker couldn’t mount this defense without it.” He calls Mjolnir only to move out the way and let the hammer hit a troop charging at Thor. “At long last.” He calls back Mjolnir.
Natasha kicks down some soldiers. “‘At long last’ is lasting a little long, boys.” She says as she shoots at a HYDRA soldier.
Clint notices soldiers shooting at him. “Yeah, I think we lost the element of surprise.”
As Tony blasts a few soldiers, “Wait a second. No one else is going to deal with the fact that Cap just said ‘language’?”
“I know.” Steve rides his motorbike and throws it at a jeep with HYDRA soldiers. “It just slipped out.”
Stark flies to the HYDRA base to try to break in as HYDRA soldiers begin firing at the city.
Jarvis says that the city is taking fire.
“Well, we know Strucker's not going to worry about civilian casualties. Send in the Iron Legion.” Tony commands Jarvis as he tries to find a way into the base.

The civilians chant "Avengers go home," as a man throws a bottle at the Iron Legion, and it hits one of the bots in the head.
Pietro then speeds through the forest. He catches Barton’s arrow as he shoots at a bunker, then circles back around and knocks down Clint.
“You didn't see that coming?” Pietro mocks as he speeds off before Barton can shoot him and ends up getting shot in the side.
“Clint!” Nat calls out.
Pietro knocks down Steve. Steve lands on his feet and looks around.
“We have an enhanced in the field.” Steve said.
“Clint's hit!” Natasha goes over to where Clint is lying down. “Somebody want to deal with that bunker?”
The Hulk comes in as he barrels through the bunker and destroys it
“Thank you.” Nat thanked as she stayed by Barton’s side.
“Stark, we really need to get inside.” Steve says as he throws his shield at a couple of soldiers and fights them off.
“I'm closing in.” Tony says as a HYDRA soldier blasts him with an enhanced weapon. Tony blasts the soldier away.
“JARVIS, am I...closing in?” He blasts more soldiers. “Do you see a power source for that shield?”
JARVIS says that there's a particle wave below the north tower.
“Great, I wanna poke it with something.” Stark says as he flies up and fires a small missile which blows up the forcefield the base. “Drawbridge is down, people.”
Thor clashes Mjolnir on the ground which makes HYDRA soldiers a few feet away from him fall to the ground. Steve runs over Thor.
“The enhanced?”
“He's a blur. All the new player's we've faced, I've never seen this. In fact, I still haven't.” Steve said.
“Clint's hit pretty bad, guys. We're gonna need evac.” Nat said over comms as more HYDRA soldiers marched their way to Thor and Steve.
“I can get Barton to the jet. The sooner we're gone the better. You and Stark secure the scepter.”
“Copy that.” Steve said.
“It looks like they're lining up.” Thor says as a HYDRA tank and more soldiers approach them.
“Well, they're excited.”
Thor pounds Mjolnir on Steve's shield and the resulting wave of force knocks down all the soldiers and tanks backwards.
“Find the scepter.” Thor says as he flies off.
“And for gosh sake, watch your language!” Tony teases as Steve sighs and looks down exasperated.
“That's not going away anytime soon.”
Tony Stark enters the HYDRA base through a window and the soldiers start firing at his Iron Man suit. “Guys, stop, we gotta talk this through.” He shoots down the soldiers using rockets from his suit. “It was a good talk.”
“No it wasn’t.” A soldier says as he groans in pain.
Stark finds List trying to delete all the HYDRA files and knocks him out with a repulsor blast, he then steps out of his Iron Man suit. “Sentry mode.” He signals the suit and walks over to the computers. “Okay, JARVIS. You know I want it all. Make sure you copy Hill at HQ.”
“We're locked down out here.” Natasha says as she sees the Legion apprehending many HYDRA soldiers.
“Then get to Banner, time for a lullaby.” Steve comms her as he takes off his helmet. Nat looks over to the Hulk. “I know I’m gonna regret this.”
Natasha finds the Hulk, “Hey, big guy. The sun's getting real low.” The Hulk scowls at her, but Natasha kneels in front of him and puts out her hand and the Hulk touches her hand and as she strokes his hand slowly he starts to calm down. He stumbles away and changes into Bruce Banner. “I’m sorry, Thor” She says, looking down.
“Guys, I got Strucker.” Steve says over the comms.
“Yeah, I got... something bigger.” He walks inside the secret passageway and finds a room with a variety of technology, as well as recovered artifacts from the Battle of New York, including a gigantic Chitauri leviathan and some of his scrapped armor. He then spots the scepter in the distance. “Thor, I got eyes on the prize.”
Wanda then creeps up behind him and uses her powers on him. He feels weird and suddenly the Chitauri corpse comes to life, and Stark sees the rest of the Avengers team are all laying on the floor all dead in front of him. He then goes over to Steve's body to check his pulse when Steve suddenly grabs him. “You could've saved us.” Steve dies but Stark continues to hear Steve's voice in his head “Why didn't you do more?” Stark sees that he is in the Chitauri realm, and that the Chitauri are invading Earth and then he snaps back to reality.
Wanda and Pietro watch as Tony summons his suit gauntlet.
“We're just gonna let them take it?” Pietro asks his twin sister as Wanda smiles to herself and Tony takes the scepter into his palm.
