*The Going Merry docks at the harbor of a small ocean side city.*
Chopper: Whoa. What is this place?
Morbius: It’s called a city. It’s basically a large village.
Chopper: Wow! Those buildings are way different than what I've seen before!
Morbius: I mean it's average in my opinion, but yeah, I guess it would be cool to you.
Usopp: It’s nice to be someplace normal for a change. I’ve had my fill of stuff that’s out of the ordinary.
Luffy: I can’t wait to see what kind of stuff there is to do around here!
Vivi: I wouldn’t get too comfortable, Luffy. We’re not staying here for very long.
Nami: Vivi’s right. The most we can stay here is two days. We still have a long way towards Alabasta if we’re taking the long way.
Zoro: So why are we stopping if we’re in a hurry to get to Alabasta?
Sanji: You moron. We still need to stop for supplies. We’re good on meat, but we need fruits and vegetables and other things. We’ll never make it to Alabasta without stopping.
Zoro: Why didn't you just get it from the winter island then?
Morbius: Because we didn't have the time to!
Vivi: But we’ll need to be careful about where we make port and how long we stay. My country is in danger and Crocodile must be stopped. We’re running out of time.
Nami: Don’t worry, Vivi, we’ll get there on time.
Morbius: Yeah. We’ll get there as fast as we can. And once we get to Alabasta Kingdom, we’ll expose Baroque Works’ plans and save everyone.
Vivi: Thank you. But of course, we can’t ignore our own needs too. If we’re required to stop here, then we’ll stay and gather what we can.
Luffy: And let’s not forget about all the other adventures we’ll have along the way!
Morbius: Calm down, Luffy. Not every place we go to is going to be a gateway to adventure.
Usopp: Especially not in a place like this. It’s just an ordinary town.
Luffy: Aw man.
Morbius: Cheer up, pal. I’m sure there’s gotta be stuff we can do here. Come on, let’s go explore.
Luffy: Ok! You guys wanna come?
Nami: No. But you guys go ahead. Just keep out of trouble.
Luffy: Ok, see ya!
*They both jump off the Merry and leave to explore the town.*

*Luffy and Morbius stroll along the boardwalk next to the beach.*
Luffy: This place looks boring. I hope they at least have good places to eat.
Morbius: I think it’s a nice change of pace from places we’ve been to so far lately. Nothing out of the ordinary around here-
Luffy: What’s that?
*They see some kind of large stone hand peeking from behind a large hill with a lighthouse on the top.*
Morbius: I don’t know.
*They go onto the beach and behind the hill and see a large temple in the shape of a giant woman. In front of is some kind of house.*
Luffy: That’s a weird looking house.
Morbius: I don’t think that’s a house.
Luffy: Then what is it?
Morbius: It’s, a temple? Or perhaps a monastery? …I don’t know. But there’s no way it can be a house. Houses don't usually have some sort of goddess statue on them… I mean at least I don't think so?
*A young boy bumps into them.*
???: Sorry! Didn’t see you there!
Morbius: It’s fine, kid.
Luffy: Hey, do you know who lives here?
???: I do. My name is Steven. Steven Universe.
Morbius: “Universe”?
Luffy: You live in that house?
Steven Universe: Yup. Are you two new here?
Luffy: Yup. We just got here. I’m Luffy. And I’m gonna be king of the pirates.
Steven: Pirates? Wait, you guys are pirates?!
Morbius: Um-
Luffy: Yes, we are!
Morbius: Don’t just tell him that, you idiot!
Steven: Aaaah!!!
Morbius: Calm down, we're not here to raid ya. If we were you would have already heard the sirens… or whatever this town uses for warnings…
*Steven really takes his time to actually look at the 2 strange pirates and realizes*
Steven: You sure don’t look like pirates I’ve seen in movies. Do you have a pirate ship?
Luffy: Yeah!
*Morbius hits him.*
Morbius: Stop telling him stuff!
Steven: It’s fine. I won’t tell anyone. You don’t seem like the evil type of pirates to me.
Morbius: Wow, you calm down quickly… you’re a really good judge of character. Mind telling us what’s up with that house of yours whatever it is?
Steven: Oh, my house? It’s where me and the Gems live.
Luffy: Gems?
Steven: Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl.
Morbius: After the gemstones?
Steven: Well, that’s what they are. I think. I know they have gems on them like me.
*He lifts his shirt up to reveal a rose quartz gem in his abdomen.*
Morbius: What the?!
Luffy: There’s a rock in your belly!
Morbius: How long has that been in there?!
Steven: Um… all my life?
Morbius: Did they give you a piercing!? Or is that implanted!? When you were just a baby!?
Steven: I'm pretty sure I was born with it.
Morbius: BORN WITH IT!?
Luffy: You’re weird. Then again, so am I. I’m a rubber man.
Steven: A rubber man?
Luffy: Yup. I ate the gum gum fruit.
Steven: Gum gum fruit?
Morbius: It’s a devil fruit.
Steven: Devil fruit?
Morbius: Something that can give you powers depending on which one you eat.
Steven: Cool. Did you eat one, too?
Morbius: No. Just him.
*Suddenly, a large crab-like monster appears out of the sand.*
Morbius: Holy moly!
Steven: Uh oh!
Luffy: What is that?!
Steven: It’s some kind of gem monster!
*It jolts towards them but Steven creates a large pink bubble that protects them.*
Luffy: Woah, cool! How’d you do that?!
Steven: I have powers too!
*But the monster begins to crack the bubble.*
Morbius: It’s breaking through!
*However, they are saved by the arrival of three women wielding weapons.*
Morbius: Who are they?!
Steven: It’s Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl! They’re here to save us!
Pearl: Steven! What happened?!
Steven: I was talking to some new friends then this thing appeared!
Garnet: It must’ve been hibernating in the sand.
Amethyst: So it’s mad it’s nap was disturbed?
Garnet: We can’t let it hurt Steven and those humans!
*The three of them attack the gem monster while Steven dies his best to keep the bubble up. But the monster begins to overpower them.*
Morbius: Those three are losing!
Luffy: Hey, Steven! Let us out!
Steven: And get eaten by a monster?! I don’t want to do that again!
Morbius: You mean that’s happened to you before?!
Luffy: Just do it!
Steven: Ok!
*Steven lowers the bubble.*
Luffy: Let’s get it, Morbius!
Morbius: Ok! I’ll go for the eyes! You finish it off!
*Morbius uses his super speed to slash its eyes, temporarily blinding it.*
Amethyst: Did that guy just run really fast?
Luffy: Gum gum Gatling!
*Luffy then repeatedly punches the monster until it disappears, leaving only its gemstone.*
Pearl: Did that human just stretch his body?! But… how?!
*Garnet grabs the gemstone and surrounds it in a bubble. She then touches the top of it and it disappears.*
Garnet: I think the better question is, who are you?
Amethyst: Wait, I think I recognize this guy.
*She pulls out Luffy’s wanted poster.*
Pearl: This kid is a pirate?
*She takes a second glance at it. Pearl is baffled by Luffy’s picture.*
Pearl: He’s not like any pirate we’ve ever seen.
Garnet: A pirate’s a pirate. This fight isn’t over.
Steven: Wait! These guys saved us! And you’re thanking them by fighting them?!
Pearl: Steven, they’re pirates. They aren’t good people.
Steven: But these ones are! If they wanted to hurt me, they would’ve by now!
Amethyst: That is a good point. Plus, there’s no way a guy with a picture like this on his bounty poster can be threatening.
Garnet: Then this fight is over.
Luffy and Steven: Yay! New friends!
