Luffy: What the… Who are you guys?
Wapol: I’ve had enough of you Straw Hats! I’m getting rid of you for good this time. I’m gonna chew you into little pieces and spit you out!
Luffy: Move it.
Wapol: Heh. I don’t think so. Why would I wanna do that? I have no intention of making it easy for you and those half dead friends of your to get away from here, Straw Hat.
*But Luffy begins to walk around them.*
Wapol: Hey!
Chess: Stop right there!
Wapol: Ah! Got it! Hey, Chess, I’ve thought up a new law to celebrate my return. Write this down.
Chess: Right!
Wapol: Anyone who ignores the king will be executed!
*Luffy keeps walking towards the mountain.*
Wapol: Those four are guilty! Chess, Kuromario! I want them to be punished immediately! Deal with the three unconscious ones first, since there ignoring me the most!
Chess and Kuromario: Sir!
Luffy: What did he say?!
*Chess and Kuromario run at Luffy, prepared to attack those who are unconscious.*
Chess: I’ve got the woman on his back.
Kuromario: I’ll take the men! Prepare for marimo’s surprise!
*Spikes appear on Kuromario’s gloves and he attempts to punch Sanji and Morbius, but Luffy manages to dodge the attack. Luffy’s about to fight back, but he remembers what Sanji said earlier about not fighting. He manages to avoid getting shot by an arrow from Chess.*
Luffy: Can’t fight!
*He instead runs away from them.*
Luffy: You’re gonna regret this later! Don’t follow me!
Chess: Hmph. What a coward. It’s no use!
*Chess shoots arrows at Luffy, but he’s barely able to dodge them and keeps running.*
Wapol: It’s time he learned what a battle in the snow is like.
*As Luffy keeps running up to the mountain, he looks behind himself and sees that Wapol’s group seemingly hasn’t followed him.*
Luffy: Huh? There’s no one. That’s weird. I wonder if they’ve already given up.
*But he’s nearly eaten by Wapol, who was hiding in the snow in front of him. Chess and Kuromario jump from behind to attack him. Also hiding in the snow.*
Kuromario: Here’s what a snow battle’s really like! Snow powered make up! The white disguise!
Chess: Those three are so incredibly weak that just one shot should be enough.
Chess and Kuromario: Now it’s checkmate!
Luffy: No!
*Suddenly, a pair of Lapahns appear and attack Chess and Kuromario.*
Luffy: Polar bears?
Wapol: Lapahns?!
Kuromario: Did those things just protect him?
Chess: That’s impossible! Lapahns never form bonds with humans. They’re nothing more than wood beasts.
*Luffy recognizes one of the Lapahns as the pack leader he pulled out of the snow.*
Luffy: I know you. Thanks a bunch! You guys saved me!
*Luffy runs off while the Lapahns stay behind to deal with Wapol.*
Wapol: Don’t let him get away!
Chess and Kuromario: Right!
*The rest of the pack blocks their path.*
Wapol: What the hell are those stupid bunnies doing standing there?!
*Luffy carries his friends as the wind begins to pick up speed. His legs sinking deeper into the snow the higher he goes up.*
Luffy: Doctor. Doctor. Doctor.
*He finally reaches the foot of the tall drum shaped mountain.*
Luffy: This is it. It’s tall and straight up. But the doctor’s up there. So I gotta climb it. Alright, Nami, Sanji and Morbius. There’s just a little further to go.
*Luffy begins climbing up the mountain. With Nami and Morbius strapped to his back and holding Sanji’s coat with his teeth.*
*Vivi wakes up after managing to survive the avalanche.*
Vivi: What happened? The avalanche. It must have buried us. Usopp!
*She sees his nose sticking out of the snow. And starts to dig him out.*
Vivi: There you are, Usopp! Come on now, wake up! You've got to wake up!
*Usopp begins to regain consciousness.*
Vivi: He’s alive! I’m going to get you out of there, Usopp, ok?! Just hang on a bit longer!
*She manages to pull him out of the snow.*
Vivi: Come on, Usopp! Please just wake up! Just snap out of it!
Usopp: Just give me a few more minutes here, Vivi. I was in the middle of such a lovely dream. We were in a world from here, sitting in a field of flowers with a beautiful river flowing next to it…
Vivi: You’re crossing over into the afterlife, Usopp! You need to get out of that dream! Now wake up!
Usopp: Aaaahhh! Ah, look at the Usopp Pirates, all 74,000 of em’! They’re such good, brave warriors!
Vivi: Ok… Get up now! You have to wake up! Do you hear me?!
*She then proceeds to slap him in the face repeatedly.*
Vivi: Usopp! Usopp! Usopp! Usopp! Usopp! Usopp!
Usopp: Oh, wow, you saved my life, Vivi! I was a goner there for a second. I’m lucky to be alive n that was a close one, really, so close. Except that… my face… feels kinda swollen… why’s that?
*Usopp’s face is super swollen from Vivi slapping him a whole bunch.*
Vivi: Oh, it’s the cold. That happens. It’s an unfortunate side effect of a snowy area. What matters now is figuring out where we are and what to do next.
*As Vivi walks through the snow, someone begins to rise out of it underneath her.*
Usopp: Aaahhh! Monster!
*It’s revealed to be Zoro, who managed to survive the avalanche.*
Zoro: Whoa… That was a close one! Why do I feel like I dreamed about a field of flowers?
*Usopp and Vivi are shocked to see Zoro out in the snow without a coat.*
Zoro: Hit by an avalanche in the middle of a training session! Not exactly an ideal workout. But I guess it is kinda like swimming in snow.
Usopp: Zoro?
Zoro: Oh, hey, Vivi, what's up? Uh…
*Zoro has a hard time recognizing Usopp due to his face being swollen. But he’s able to figure it out.*
Zoro: Oh, it’s you, Usopp. What are you guys doing all the way out here in the snow?
Usopp and Vivi: That’s exactly what we were gonna ask you!
*Wapol, Chess and Kuromario manage to defeat the Lapahn pack.*
Wapol: Mahahahaha! Take that you stupid bunnies! You pathetic creatures got exactly what you deserved for going up against a king! Still, it annoys me that I had to expend so much of my power against a pack of overgrown rabbits.
Chess: There was no helping it, sir. They are the fiercest animals in Drum Kingdom.
Wapol: And you’re next… Straw Hat!
*Back with Luffy, he keeps ascending higher and higher up the mountain while holding onto his friends. The fierce cold weather doesn’t bother him, even though it’s taking a toll on his body.*
Luffy: Doctor… Doctor…
*He looks up and sees he’s still got a ways to go. So he keeps climbing up.*
Luffy: Doctor.
*But as he grasps into the mountain, he scrapes his fingers and yells in pain.*
Luffy: Oooooww!
*This causes him to let go of Sanji and he falls.*
Luffy: Sanji!
*Luffy stretches his neck down and grabs Sanji’s coat with his teeth, saving him.*
Luffy: That was… a close one.
Usopp: Winter swimming?
Zoro: Yeah, that was the idea, anyway. But after swimming in the river for a while, I had no idea where I was anymore, so I started walking around and doing some strength training workouts.
Usopp: Dressed like that in cold weather? You’re really stupid, aren’t you?
Zoro: That isn’t the point. Now would you shut up and give me your coat, Usopp?
Usopp: Not a chance.
Vivi: *Maybe Nami’s sick from the mental exhaustion of dealing with these two.*
Zoro: Then how about your shoes?
Usopp: No.
Zoro: Just one, then!
Usopp: I said no! You did this to yourself!
*Vivi sees several people standing downhill in the distance around some buildings over several feet of snow.*
Vivi: Look at that, guys. There’s some people over there.
Usopp: Huh? Uh, hey! Look at those buildings. They look familiar, don’t they?
Vivi: Huh? You’re right, Usopp. This place is Big Horn. We just came back. It looks a lot different buried in snow, though.
Soldier 1: Stay back, all of you! Dalton’s already dead, anyway!
Villager 1: It’d take more than a couple flimsy arrows to kill him!
Villager 2: You’re his men! Or used to be, at least. Don’t you care at all about what happens to Dalton?
Soldier 1: Things have changed! We’re all Wapol's soldiers now, and any one of you who opposes Wapol is as good as dead.
Zoro: Hey. What’s going on here?
Villager 3: What’s going on here? Wait, what’s going on with you?! Why are you dressed like that?
Villager 4: Dalton is buried under the snow that came down with the avalanche.
Usopp: What?!
Vivi: Dalton’s under that?
Villager 4: That’s right. And we can’t get over there to dig him out because those guys are blocking us.
Soldier 1: For the last time, stay back! But if you really wanna dig your friend up, I guess you can go ahead and try fighting us all! Hahahaha!
Zoro: Hey, Usopp. I think I remember their clothing. Those are the exact same guys who attacked our ship when we were out in the ocean, right?
Usopp: Oh, yeah. That’s right.
Zoro: Then they’re the enemy. Bad guys. Not our friends. You follow me?
Usopp: Yeah, but- Wait a second. I know that look.
Soldier 2: Hahahahaha! You aren’t so brave without Dalton around. Hahahahaha!
*Zoro quickly runs over to one of the soldiers and punches him in the face.*
Vivi: No! Zoro! What’re you doing?!
Soldier 3: Who’s that guy?
Villager 5: You need to be careful! Nothing good will come from attacking them!
*Zoro puts on the soldier’s coat to warm himself up.*
Zoro: Ah! This is so warm, I really like this thing.
Usopp: That’s why you wanted to know who they were?! Watch out, Zoro! They don’t look very happy!
Soldier 4: I know you! You were on the ship with that guy who beat up Wapol, weren’t you?
Zoro: That’s right. You’re a little slow, aren’t ya?
*All the soldiers charge at Zoro, but he runs past them all. A few of them notice their swords are gone.*
Zoro: Are you looking for something? Maybe… these?
*He reveals he stole some of their swords.*
Soldier 1: Men, let’s get this guy!
*They charge at Zoro again. But he proceeds to slash several of them.*
Zoro: Two sword style: hawk wave!
*Zoro creates a powerful gust of wind to knock the soldiers over. Defeating all of them.*
Zoro: What a shame… already over? Well that was disappointing wasn’t it?
*The villagers gasp in awe at Zoro's swordsmanship.*
Vivi: Amazing…
Usopp: Right. Zoro, that was a good job! Just like I told you to do, yeah!
Villager 5: Great! Now we can go over there and look for Dalton!
Villager 6: Let's go!
Villager 7: Thank you, Sir!
Villager 3: Hurry! Dig everywhere!
*The villagers begin digging for Dalton.*
Zoro: So, what’s going on here? Why are they all so worked up?
Usopp: I’ll explain it all to you later. For now, let’s just give 'em a hand.
Villager 6: Come on, Dalton. Please still be alive.
*Zoro, Usopp and Vivi help them dig through the snow in search of Dalton.*
*Luffy continues climbing the mountain, his fingers bleeding as he grabs onto the rocks but carries on through the pain.*
Luffy: Doctor… Doctor… Doctor!
*As he looks up and sees he’s almost at the top, he loses his grip and slides down. Scraping his hands and feet trying to hold on. He manages to catch himself and continues his climb up.*
Luffy: *Hang on, you three. We’re almost there. Don’t you die on me!
*Luffy’s skin becomes red as he reaches high elevation, the cold weather taking a toll on his body. But all that matters to him is reaching the top of the mountain. Finally, after so much perseverance, he’s arrived at the mountain top where Drum Castle lies.*
Luffy: We’re here.
*Luffy’s vision begins to become blurry.*
Luffy: Doctor…
*As he collapses, the snow beneath him begins to give away and fall. But just as he measly falls off the top, a tall furry humanoid creature grabs him.*
*Later, Dr. Kureha and her assistant treat Luffy’s group of the injuries. Especially Nami of her mysterious illness.*
???: Doctorine, the antibodies seem to be responding.
Kureha: Yes, as I’d guess they would. The treatment worked, but what was the cause of the illness?
???: Kestia.
Kureha: Kestia, that’s exactly correct. Now you go and attend to the girl, alright?
???: Yes.
*Nami wakes up in a bed and sees a small reindeer-like creature grinding medicinal herbs on a desk.*
Nami: Hello?
*The little creature gets startled and hides behind the doorway. Except he’s not really hiding as his body is clearly visible.*
