Little Garden part 8

*Brogy cries like a fountain over Dorry, causing a rainbow to appear from his tears.*
Luffy; Whoa, look at that! His tears are making a rainbow!
*Everyone covers their ears to drown out the noise of Brogy crying over Dorry.*
Nami: With all this crying, we'll drown here.
Zoro: It’s practically a waterfall.
Usopp: So sad… Master… Brogy!
*But surprisingly, Dorry gets up. Shocking everyone.*
Brogy: Dorry… you’re… alive!
Dorry: I must have lost consciousness…

*With Sanji*
Sanji: Mr. 0? I’ve heard that name somewhere before. Wasn’t that the name of the boss guy that Vivi is so frightened of? Which would mean that the person who is on the other end of this phone… is one of the seven warlords of the sea.
Crocodile: It’s been a long time since I issued your orders, Mr. 3. What’s happening on that island?
Sanji: Alright, so I guess this Mr. 3 character is the owner of this cell phone. I think I have this figured out now. This little place here is an enemy hideout, and someone named Mr. 3 was ordered by someone named Mr. 0 to come to this island and kill Vivi. Damn it… What was I thinking…? This was no time for me to be out on a hunting trip…! I hope that they’re still ok. Shit…
Crocodile: Well, are you going to answer me? When I ask a question, I expect an answer. Have you eliminated Princess Vivi and the Straw Hats as you were ordered?
Sanji: Oh, yeah, the mission was successful. I eliminated all those pesky brats like you said to. Your secret is completely protected, so there’s no need to keep going after them anymore.
Crocodile: I see… so… As we speak, the Unluckies are headed your way in order to confirm the success of your mission and to deliver a certain package.
Sanji: The Unluckies, of course. And a package?
Crocodile: It’s an Eternal Pose that will point you to Alabasta Kingdom. Once that arrives, you and Miss Goldenweek will head for Alabasta. I expect you to be here shortly after the start of the new year. Then, it will be time for the next phase of the plan. We will embark upon our most important operation to date. Details will follow after you reach Alabasta. Wait for my orders.
*The Unluckies, Mr. 13 and Miss Friday arrive at the wax house.*
Sanji: Huh? What the… What are those?
*Miss Friday aims a pair of machine guns on her back at Sanji while Mr. 3 pulls out a pair of bivalve seashells with short claws along the front edge.*
Crocodile: Mr. 3…! What was that?!
Sanji: Oh, uh… It’s nothing really.
*Miss Friday shoots at Sanji, but avoids being hit by bullets and hides behind the table.*
Sanji: What the hell is that?
*Mr. 13 then attempts to slash Sanji with his seashells.*
Sanji: So I guess you’re trying to kill me, huh…? Well, monkey, bring it on.
*Sanji kicks Mr. 13 in the back of the head, knocking the otter out.*
Sanji: Alright, you. What now?
*Miss Friday attempts to shoot Sanji again, but he grabs her head in between his feet.*
Sanji: So what are you gonna do now, you oversized chicken?!
*He then twists the vulture’s neck, knocking it out as well.*
Crocodile: Hey! What’s going on?! Answer me, Mr. 3!
Sanji: Hey! Well… nothing… it’s just… that damn Straw Hat was still alive. It’s ok, though. I finished him off real good. No need to worry.
*On the other end, Crocodile grabs onto a flower sitting in a vase of water, agitated from Sanji’s response.*
Crocodile: What do you mean he was still alive…?
*All the water vanishes and the flower withers away and dies.*
Crocodile: I believe that just a moment ago you said that your mission was completed successfully. Isn’t that correct?
Sanji: Yes, that is what I said. I mean, I absolutely thought that it was completed then. But that Straw Hat guy, he’s really a lot tougher than you’d expect.
Crocodile: So let me see if I understand. The report you gave me was a complete lie?
Sanji: Well, yeah, when you put it that way, I guess the report wasn’t the truth. But now, I’ve gotten rid of that Straw Hat for sure, so there’s no need for you to send anyone else after him or the others.
Crocodile: Very well. Take the pose and head straight to Alabasta from there immediately. I expect you there by New Years. Do you understand me?

*Back with the others*
Nami: But how are you still alive?
Morbius: Yeah, We thought Brogy killed you.
Dorry: The weapons. They saved me.
Usopp: Weapons? Oh, yeah! That makes sense! Not even weapons that were made in Elbaf could hold up for a hundred years of giants dueling to the death with ‘em! They must be full by now! Now, that’s a relief. It’s a miracle, really!
*Brogy hugs Dorry as he cries tears of joy, thankful that his friend isn’t dead.*
Dorry: Brogy, would you let go? I’m a little sore, here.
Brogy: I’m so glad you’re still alive, Dorry! It’s amazing! Gabababababa!
Dorry: Gyagagagaga!
Zoro: Come on, this wasn’t a miracle. The fact that those weapons are intact after a century of fighting is the miraculous part. They should be scrap by now. I’m surprised they lasted this long.
Brogy: What a day this was! Thank you, god of Elbaf, for this wonderful day!
Dorry: Oh, is that true, Brogy? You’re saying that fighting me while I was injured, cutting me down and knocking me out was all wonderful.
Brogy: Don’t be an idiot, Dorry. That’s not what I’m saying and you know it.
*He gives Dorry a little slap across the back.*
Dorry: Would you keep your hands off my wounds?
*They then begin to rough each other up a little.*
Dorry: You try doing that again and see how far you get!
Brogy: Yeah?! I could take you down in a heartbeat!
Luffy: Yeah! Duel! Fight!
Nami: You two are fighting again, already?!

*Meanwhile*
Crocodile: We’ll have no more radio or phone call contact from now on, understand me? If marines were to catch on to what we’re doing, that would be most unfortunate. From this point on, all my orders will be sent via letter, following the usual protocol. That will be all, Mr. 3. That will be all.
*After Crocodile hangs, he turns his attention to Miss All Sunday, who’s also in the room and petting a giant alligator-like creature.*
Crocodile: Miss All Sunday.
Miss All Sunday: Yes, sir?
Crocodile: I want you to send Mr. 2 to Little Garden immediately. Mr. 3 is on his way from Little Garden to Alabasta. I want you to see that he is eliminated.
Miss All Sunday: Perhaps that might be a little extreme, Crocodile.
Crocodile: We still have plenty of agents to spare. Are you arguing with me, Miss All Sunday?
Miss All Sunday: No. I’ll make the arrangements at once. Consider it done.

Sanji: Well, he finally hung up. Now, I wonder who these guys were. They sure are funny looking.
*He spots the Eternal Pose to Alabasta on the floor and picks it up.*
Sanji: What’s this?

*Later*
Brogy: Gababababa!
Dorry: Gyagagagaga! We’ve been fighting so long that we’d completely forgotten about the bounties that were put on our heads. It has been a long time.
Vivi: But I’m the whole reason that the Baroque Works agents came here in the first place. It’s my fault.
Nami: None of that anymore. Ok?
*Luffy, Usopp, Morbius and Karoo eat
Luffy: Yeah, come on, Vivi. Why are you so sad? Here, have a rice cracker.
Nami: Uh, guys, where did you get those?
Luffy: I know! Let’s have a rice cracker party!
Usopp: Rice crackers aren’t that exciting, though.
Morbius: Yeah, they’re just snacks.
Luffy: Sure they are! We can even toast with them.
Nami: You see? Nobody’s blaming you.
Luffy: Cheers!
*Luffy tries to toast with some rice crackers, but they break.*
Usopp: Hey, Luffy, don’t do that! You can’t just go wasting food like that. Seriously, you should know, better.
Luffy: Hey, what are you doing?! Who said you could have my cracker?! Give it!
Usopp: It’s done! It’s mine now!
*As Luffy and Usopp fight over a rice cracker, Nami feels a small pain on her side.*
Zoro: What’s with you?
Nami: Nothing. Just a bug bite.
Morbius: Damn, mosquitos. Blood sucking pests. The world would be better off without them.
Zoro: But you drink blood.
Morbius: Don’t compare me to a mosquito, Zoro! They're parasites!
Zoro: … Well alright, I still can’t believe we have to wait a year just for the log pose to reset.
Nami: I know. It’s definitely something we should be worried about!
Brogy: All of you helped save us from those other guys. If we can, we would really like to return the favor.
Luffy: Well, maybe you guys could do something about our Log Pose, so we won’t be stuck here.
Dorry: I’m afraid the Log pose is the one thing that we can’t help you with.
Morbius: That’s unfortunate.
*Sanji manages to find them all.*
Sanji: Nami, dear! Vivi, my love! And all the rest of you!
Luffy: Hey! Sanji!
Sanji: You're all still ok! I’m so happy, so happy!
Usopp: Of course, he’s happy, the big useless jerk! He shows up after we’ve taken care of everything!
Morbius: I swear, he’s gonna pay for it!
*Sanji sees Dorry and Brogy.*
Sanji: Aaahhh! What’s going on here?! Is one of you guys Mr. 3?
Nami: Wait… and how do you know about Mr. 3 anyway?
Sanji: Nami! You look absolutely amazing in that outfit!
Nami: Say that again!
Sanji: Now, Nami, if you stand around dressed like that all day, you’ll catch cold. Here, take my coat.
Nami: Oh, thank you.
*He gives Nami his coat.*
Morbius: Now… care to explain where you've been, Romeo?
Sanji: So, I’ve been a little busy. I just finished talking to that Mr. 0 guy over a cell phone.
Vivi: Mr. 0?!
Sanji: Yeah, that guy. I was talking to him in this weird hideout place I found in the jungle. He thought I was some guy called Mr. 3, and I thought it would be a good idea to let him believe it. And since I had him on the line, I went ahead and told him that we were all dead.
Vivi: So he thinks he doesn’t have to send people after us anymore.
Usopp: So you’re saying that we’re finally free of people chasing us now that we can’t go anywhere anyway? Oh, that is just perfect…
Sanji: We can’t go? Why? Is there still something we need to take care of here? That’s a real shame after I managed to get a hold of this thing.
*He shows everyone the Eternal Pose he grabbed, surprising everyone.*
Sanji: Uh, what?
Morbius: That's…
Luffy: An Eternal Pose to Alabasta! Alright! Now, we can set sail! Woohoo!
Nami: Yes! Good job! I knew something would happen!
Vivi: Thank you, Sanji!
*Vivi hugs Sanji, delighting him a lot.*
Vivi: I was getting really worried, thank you!
Sanji: No, no! It was all my pleasure. I’m just glad I could make you happy, Vivi.
Morbius: … Yeah congratulations.
Luffy: Alright, everyone! Now we’re having a rice cracker party!
Usopp: No way. Look, Luffy, we don’t have enough left for a party. There’s only three.
Luffy: What?
Nami: It doesn’t matter. We don’t have time for that anyway. Come on now, Captain. We don’t have time to be sitting here.
Morbius: Yeah, let’s get off this island while we still can.
Sanji: Zoro, hold on a sec. So, uh, you forget about our hunting contest?
Zoro: Nope. Hate to tell you this, but you lost. I caught a rhino that was this big.
Sanji: That doesn’t sound very tasty, but I guess you can eat it.
Zoro: Sounds fine to me.
Brogy: Hunting contest?
Dorry: Hunting contest?
Brogy: Something about that sounds familiar somehow.
Luffy: Ok, Giant old guys, it’s really been a lot of fun, but we gotta go.
Brogy: Of course, right. We can tell you need to get going.
Dorry: It’s too bad that you have to leave so soon. I hope you get to your homeland in time.
Vivi: Me too. Thank you.
Luffy: See ya! Try not to die anymore, ok?
Karoo: Quack!
Usopp: Master! I’m going to go visit Elbaf someday!
Sanji: You just wait and see. My catch is much bigger than yours.
Zoro: You wish.
Morbius: What catch?
*Luffy and everyone else begin to walk back to the Going Merry.*
Brogy: Our friends are setting sail.
Dorry: That’s right, and we can’t just sit here, not when there’s a monster waiting for them in the sea.
Brogy: So, Dorry, how are your wounds doing?
Dorry: These? I think I can live with them.
Brogy: It’s safe to say that our weapons are about worn through.
Dorry: Any regrets?
Brogy: It’s difficult to give up. I’ve fought with this ax for more than a hundred years, but if it’s a sacrifice for our friends, then it’s worth it.
Dorry: Yeah, I agree.
*They both grab their weapons.*

*Later, everyone returned to the ship. Zoro and Sanji compare the sizes of the triceratops and T. rex they caught.*
Zoro: See, I told you mine was bigger than yours! I win!
Sanji: You should look closer! My lizard is much bigger!
Zoro: What, are you blind or something?! My rhino is obviously so much larger than your stupid lizard is!
Morbius: How dense can those two be…? That’s not a lizard or a rhino. They just hunted and killed two large dinosaurs…
Luffy: It doesn’t really matter. They both look yummy.
Zoro and Sanji: Just shut up, Luffy!
Zoro: Yours doesn’t even have horns!
Sanji: What does that have to do with anything?!
Zoro: Size! Yours is puny!
Nami: Children, how long are you going to fight? We don’t need all of it, anyway, just cut up what we do need, so we can get out of here, already.
Sanji: Right! Of course, Nami!
Zoro: Hey, Usopp! Would you tell him that I’m clearly the winner?
Usopp: No, I really don’t care.
Zoro: Alright then, how about you, Morbius?
Morbius: I… I still can’t wrap my head around the fact you both managed to kill a couple of dinosaurs…
Vivi: Can’t you just agree it’s a tie?
Zoro: I don’t believe in ties. I fight to win.
Nami: Just hurry up, you two!
Sanji: Yeah!
*After Zoro and Sanji cut up all the meat need from the dinosaurs, they hoist anchor and prepare to leave the island.*
Luffy: Set sail!
Nami: The giants said that going straight would take us to the western end of the island.
Luffy: Hey, couldn’t you guys have gotten any more meat on board?
Zoro: Yeah, right.
Sanji: We can’t possibly preserve any more than this. It would just spoil before we could eat it.
Nami: Are you actively trying to sink the ship?
Luffy: Hey! Look at that: it’s the giants!
Morbius: What are they doing here?
Luffy: They must’ve come down here to say goodbye!
Brogy: A great danger still lies ahead of you.
Dorry: It is an obstacle that has always been here. Trying to prevent people from reaching the next island.
Morbius: An obstacle?
Dorry: Everyone of you fought like true warriors in order to protect the pride of our duel.
Brogy: And because you were willing to do that, no matter what enemy you may face.
Dorry: We will never let them destroy your pride, friends.
Brogy: You must have faith in what we say. Go straight. No matter what happens, keep going straight. Understand?
Luffy: Yeah, got it.
Zoro: What was that about?
Usopp: I don’t get it. What’d he say?
Luffy: No matter what happens, we just go straight!
*The ship manages to exit the river and leave the shore of the island.*
Brogy: This is goodbye.
Dorry: Let’s meet again someday.
Brogy: Absolutely.
Nami: Look! Over there!
*The water begins to rise, as something begins to surface.*
Dorry: Hello, Island Eater.
Brogy: You will open the path. In the name of Elbaf, you will open in!
*A giant goldfish has risen out of the sea and looks at the ship.*
Karoo: Quack!!!
Usopp: It’s a monster!
Luffy: What the heck is that? A goldfish?
Morbius: It’s so huge!
Usopp: It’s a… giant goldfish?
Nami: Usopp, hey! Start working the rudder or we’re gonna be eaten! Hurry up!
Usopp: Yeah… I know, but we have to go straight ahead. Isn’t that right, Luffy?
Luffy: We sure do.
*The Island Eater opens its mouth wide open. Ready to devour the ship.*
Nami: Don’t be a moron, Luffy! This isn’t going to be anything like what happened with Laboon!
Luffy: Yeah, I know. Now, calm down. Here, I’ll let you have the last rice cracker.
Nami: I don’t want a cracker! If we don’t turn the skip around right now, that thing is gonna eat us!
Karoo: Quack!
Zoro: Nami, just give it up.
*The ship begins sailing towards the fish’s mouth.*
Sanji: Luffy! Are you sure we can yeah those little pals of yours?!
Luffy: Yup!
Vivi: Are we actually going to willingly straight into that beast’s belly?!
Morbius: Sure seems like it!
Nami: Uh huh! It’s too late to turn now!
Dorry: You’ve sure gotten a lot bigger, Island Eater. Filthy goldfish.
Brogy: And his size isn’t the only surprising thing about him, either. There’s also the dung that he produces after he devours a island. The side of that stuff is quite impressive. I recall one specimen that’s known as Nothing At All Island.
Dorry: Gyagagagaga. Yes. We landed on it a long time ago and thought it was real land we were standing on.
Brogy: I’m beginning to feel nostalgic watching them sail in. I remember my old adventurous days.
*The Island Eater completely swallows the ship.*
Dorry: The only thing that we can’t pierce with this weapon, is the great bloodstained snake.
Brogy: Together, our weapons for the most powerful weapon Elbaf can offer. The giant spear…

*Inside the goldfish’s mouth.*
Usopp: Just go straight! Go straight!
Nami: What does it matter?! We’ve already been eaten here!
Morbius: We’re all gonna die!
Luffy: Straight, ok?! Just keep going!

*Dorry and Brogy put all their strength into their weapons and slash their weapons at the ocean, creating two compressed air beams that slice right through the Island Eater’s body.*
Brogy and Dorry: Hokoku!
*The attack causes the ship to fly out of the beast’s body.*
Luffy: We’re flying!
Morbius: This is awesome!
Luffy: Don’t bother looking back! Cause we’re going straight ahead! Look at us! This is so incredible!
Usopp: They cut… the sea… itself! The strength of… the Elbaf Warriors… is amazing!
*The attack has broken Dorry and Brogy’s weapons.*
Dorry and Brogy: Friends! Go! Good luck!
*They watch the Going Merry sail away from Little Garden.*
Dorry: Gyagagagaga!
Brogy: Gabababababa!

Long ago, the sea was ruled by colossal swashbuckling ruffians known as the Giant Warrior Pirates. Living only for the thrill of battle and conquest, these pirates laid waste to all that opposed them. They were presided over by two bosses, Red Ogre Brogy and Blue Ogre Dorry, both exceptionally strong. The power and influence they held went largely unchecked, for no other giant was their equal and ordinary men cowered in their massive shadows. This made the fact that a lone little girl single handedly put an end to their attacks all the more surprising.

*Flashback, 100 years ago, the Giant Warrior Pirates celebrate their captains killing two large sea kings.*
Giant 1: Our two bosses are truly great! Did you hear about their catch?!
Giant: Yeah! I can hardly think about anything else! It’s so exciting! It’s not everyday someone bags a huge sea king! And they each got one. Now, that’s impressive.
Giant 1: Yeah. Take us for example, we’re Elbaf Giants. No greater warrior exists, but even we don’t come close to taking down one of those massive beasts. Wouldn’t you say that’s fair, men?!
Giants: Yeah!
Brogy: Gababababa! I bet that no one’s ever slain a bigger sea king than us!
Dorry: A conquest destined to become legend! Gyagagagaga!
*Little girl stares in awe.*
Yuki: Awesome! So which one was bigger?!
Brogy: What?
Dorry: Which one?
Yuki: Who won the contest, you or Brogy?

*The Giant Warrior Pirates then sailed to Little Garden to lay the giant sea kings on the island to compare their sizes.*
Dorry: Look at them side by side, Brogy! Mine is slightly bigger, see?!
Brogy: Keep dreaming! Mine beats yours by three whole centimeters!
Dorry: What?! You’re joking!
Brogy: No!
Giant 3: Bosses, please! Stop bickering!

*Flashback end*
Dorry: I suppose I should mention Brogy, I recall something about a hunting contest, but I can’t exactly remember.
Brogy: Don’t worry, Dorry. The same thing goes for me.
*The volcano that used to signal their duels erupts.*
Brogy: It’s middle mountain!
Dorry: So, what do ya say you and I go ahead and finish this?
Brogy: Sure! We can always think things through after that!
*The two giants then begin to fight once more.*
