Adventure Guys

*Hawkeye trips a Chitauri with his bow and shoves an arrow in its neck while Black Widow grabs a Chitauri rifle and shoots it at a few of them. Captain America, Luffy and Morbius join in. More charge towards them, but they’re struck by lightning bolts courtesy of Thor. Who joins them too.*
Captain America: What's the story upstairs?
Thor: The power surrounding the cube is impenetrable.
Morbius: I find that a little hard to believe.
Iron Man: Thor is right. We gotta deal with these guys.
Black Widow: How do we do this?
Captain America: As a team.
Thor: I have unfinished business with Loki.
Luffy: Yeah, I wanna kick his ass.
Hawkeye: Yeah? Well, get in line.
Captain America: Save it. Loki's gonna keep this fight focused on us and that's what we need. Without him these things could run wild. We got Stark up top, he's gonna need us-
Luffy: It’s Wimpy Hulk!
*Bruce Banner arrives on a small motorcycle.*
Morbius: Nice of you to join us, Dr. Banner.
Bruce: So, this all seems horrible.
Black Widow: I've seen worse.
Bruce: Sorry.
Black Widow: No. We could use a little worse.
Morbius: Also, just want to say also I’m sorry for almost killing you, Miss Romanoff.
Luffy: How’d you know to come here?
Bruce: Well, I deduced that Loki needed the power source for his portal and Stark Tower was the perfect place for it.
Captain America: Stark, we got him.
Iron Man: Banner?
Captain America: Just like you said.
Iron Man: Then tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you.
*Iron Man comes out from behind a building, with the Leviathan still following him.*
Black Widow: I... I don't see how that's a party…
*Iron Man then swoops down into the street, making the creature swoop down as well.*
Captain America: Dr. Banner. Now might be a really good time for you to get angry.
Bruce: That's my secret, Captain. I'm always angry.
*Bruce’s body begins to grow and turn green, transforming into the Hulk. Who punches the Leviathan in the face, making it flip in the air.*
Luffy: Awesome!
Iron Man: Hold on!
*Iron Man then shoots a missle at it, blowing the creature away. Several Chitauri soldiers cling to the side of buildings.*
Hulk: Rrrraaaaggghhh!
*The whole team circles behind each other. For the Avengers have been assembled.*

*Loki looks down upon them.*
Loki: Send the rest.

*More Chitauri chariots and Leviathans begin emerging from the portal.*
Black Widow: Guys.
Morbius: They just keep coming!
Iron Man: Call it, Cap.
Captain America: Alright, listen up. Until we can close that portal up there, we're gonna use containment. Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or your turn it to ash.
Hawkeye: Wanna give me a lift?
Iron Man: Better clench up, Legolas.
*He grabs Hawkeye and then flies up into the sky.*
Captain America: Thor, you've gotta try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down. You've got the lightning. Light the bastards up.
*Thor flies into the sky.*
Luffy: What about us?
Captain America: We stay here on the ground. Keep the fighting here. And Hulk…Smash.
*Hulk smiles gleefully and jumps onto the side of a building to attack a Chitauri soldier. He then jumps across the next building. Some soldiers shoot their weapons at Hulk, but they have no effect on him and proceeds to smash them. He then jumps into the air and smacks a couple of chariots out of the air. Thor grabs onto the top of a tower and summons thunderclouds. Lightning strikes his hammer and he channels the electricity at the chariots and Leviathans emerging from the portal, causing them to collide and explode.*

*On the Helicarrier, Fury watched news reports and security footage of the events in New York unfold.*
Hill: Sir. The council is on.

*Atop a rooftop, Hawkeye fires arrows at flying by Chitauri chariots. Hitting each one he aims at.*
Hawkeye: Stark, you got a lot of strings sticking to your tail.
Iron Man: Just try and keep them off the streets.
Hawkeye: Well, they can't bank worth a damn. Find a tight corner.
Iron Man: I will roger that.
*Iron Man leans into a tight corner with some chariots chasing him. Hawkeye fire an arrow at one of them that melts one of them in half, making it explode. The rest follow Iron Man through a tunnel.*
Iron Man: Oh, boy.
*They then proceed to follow him through a parking garage. But the tight space caused them to get stuck and explode.*
Iron Man: Nice call. What else you got?
Hawkeye: Well, Thor's taking on a squadron down on 6th.
Iron Man: And he didn't invite me?
*A Leviathan is about to ram into an office building. But Hulk jumps out of it and launches himself into its jaw, making it veer away.*

*A Chitauri soldier attacks Black Widow. But she uses her wrist gauntlets to electrocute it and then grabs its rifle, shooting it dead.*
Black Widow: Captain, none of this is gonna mean a damn thing if we don't close that portal.
Captain America: Our biggest guns couldn't touch it.
Black Widow: Well, maybe it's not about guns.
Captain America: You wanna get up there, you're gonna need a ride.
Black Widow: I got a ride. I could use a boost though.
*They both back away from each other.*
Captain America: Are you sure about this?
Black Widow: Yeah, it’s gonna be fun.
*She runs towards Captain America and jumps off a car and onto his shield. He then boosts her into the air, allowing Black Widow to grab onto a passing chariot. She then climbs aboard it and uses a knife to cut the turret shooter’s linage cable and push him off. Black Widow then stabs the pilot in the back and uses its body to steer the chariot.*
Black Widow: Ok. Turn. Turn.
*Some chariots pursue her but Iron Man quickly takes them out. He then flies down onto the street and helps Captain America with some soldiers on the ground. He fires a laser and deflects it off Captain America’s shield to take some of them out. He then flies towards Luffy who is repeatedly punching and kicking several Chitauri soldiers. One of them tries to attack Luffy from behind but Morbius jumps in front of him and bites into its neck. After Iron Man takes out a few more, he flies up a building and shoots several Chitauri that are climbing up. In the roof, Hawkeye shoots an arrow into the head of a pilot on a chariot, making it crash straight into a Leviathan. In top of it, Hulk is beating down the soldiers riding it and is soon joined by Thor. Hulk breaks off a piece of its armor and impales it into the creature. Thor then raises his hammer to draw lightning and strikes it, electrocuting it in a single blow. The Leviathan crashes into Grand Central Station. After they get off the creature, Hulk punches Thor, knocking him back.*

*Dr. Selvig wakes up and is free from Loki’s mind control.*

*Severak military Humvees arrive and aim their mounted guns at the Chitauri. A soldier pins Captain America with its energy rifle, but he breaks its leg and knocks it down.*
Hawkeye: Captain, the bank on 42nd past Madison. They’ve caught a lot of civilians there.
Captain America: I'm on it.
Morbius: Me too!

*Dozens of civilians are gathered in a bank and are surrounded by some Chitauri soldiers. One of them activates a timed explosive. But Captain America and Morbius crash through a window. Captain America throws his shield at the one with the bomb, making it drop it. The others fire their energy rifles at him.*
Morbius: Take cover!
*They both take cover behind a desk. Captain America kicks the desk and traps one of them behind some railing. He then headlocks one and backhand hits it over the railing. Another one attempts to shoot him but Morbius jumps onto it and bite into its throat, making it bleed to death.*
Morbius: Blagh! Their blood tastes horrible!
Captain America: Everyone! Clear out!
*A Chitauri soldier grabs him from behind and removes his helmet. Another one tries to shoot him, but he flips over the soldier holding him, making it shoot it instead. The bomb’s timer is about to go off.*
Morbius: Bomb!
*He quickly runs out the window while Captain America grabs his shield. The last Chitauri soldier grabs the bomb but it blows up. Captain America uses his shield to protect himself from the explosion and is knocked back, landing on a car.*
Morbius: Hey, Cap! Are you ok?
*He gets off the car and looks at the city.*

*Back on the Helicarrier bridge, Fury is having a meeting with the World Security Council.*
Council Member 1: Director Fury, the council has made a decision.
Fury: I recognize the council has made a decision. But given that it's a stupid ass decision, I've elected to ignore it.
Council Member 2: Director, you're closer than any of our subs, you scramble that jet-
Fury: That is the island of Manhattan, Councilman. Until I'm certain my team can't hold it, I will not order a nuclear strike against a civilian population.
Council Member 2: 1: If we don't hold them here, we lose everything.
Fury: I send that bird out, we already have.
*He hangs up on them.*

*As Black Widow continues using the pilot to fly the chariot towards Stark Tower but is almost shot by another one.*
Black Widow: Oh. You.
*She sees that Loki is pursuing her. Hawkeye sees the chase.*
Hawkeye: Nat, what are you doing?
Black Widow: Uh... a little help!
Hawkeye: I got him.
*Hawkwte shoots an arrow at Loki, but he catches it. However, it was an explosive tipped arrow that goes off, blowing up the chariot and making him crash into the penthouse level balcony of Stark Tower.*

*Black Widow jumps off the chariot and lands on the roof.*

*Loki gets back up.*
Luffy: Loki!
*Luffy jumps high in the air after climbing vigorously up the tower and lands on the penthouse level balcony.*
Luffy: Gum gum bazooka!
*Luffy stretches his arms back and then delivers a double palm strike at Loki. Loki attempts to make a run for his scepter but Luffy stretches his arms and grabs it.*
Luffy: I don’t think so.
Loki: What are you going to do now? Beat me to a pulp?
Luffy: Nah, I’ve had my taste. I’ll let the other guy do that.
*Loki looks confused, but Hulk tackles him through the glass.*
Loki: ENOUGH! YOU ARE, ALL OF YOU ARE BENEATH ME! I AM A GOD, YOU DULL CREATURE, AND I WILL NOT BE BULLIED BY-
*But Hulk grabs Loki by his legs and smashes him against the floor repeatedly before throwing him aside.*
Hulk: Puny God.
Loki:…
Luffy: Hahahahaha! That was funny!

*Black Widow walks up to the CMS machine, still surrounded by an impenetrable energy field.*
Erik: The scepter…
Black Widow: Doctor.
Erik: Loki's scepter, the energy...the Tesseract can't fight. You can't protect against yourself.
Black Widow: It's not your fault. You didn't know what you were doing.
Erik: Well, actually I think I did. I built in a safety to cut the power source.
Black Widow: Loki's scepter.
Erik: It might be able to close the portal. And I'm looking right at it.
*He sees Luffy holding it on the balcony.*

*Thor fights some Chitauri soldiers on a chariot. But then a Leviathan crashes through a building, making the chariot collide with its head and making Thor fall. Iron Man fires a laser at the creature.*
JARVIS: Sir, we will lose power before you cut through that shell.
*He then flies ahead of the monster.*
Iron Man: JARVIS, You ever hear the tale of Jonah?
JARVIS: I wouldn't consider him a role model.
*He flies straight into the Leviathan’s mouth, unleashing a large arsenal of weapons inside its body, blowing it in half. Iron Man crashes into the streets and gets shot by some Chitauri soldiers that surround him.*

*On the rooftop, a Chitauri soldier attempts to attack Hawkeye from behind, but he shoots an arrow at it. He tries to pull out another one, but discovers he’s all out. Another one clumps up onto the roof and forces him to use his bow to hit it. He then grabs the last arrow from the Chitauri’s corpse. Several chariots charge towards Hawkeye and begin shooting the roof. After he loads the arrow back into his quiver, he changes the arrowhead and jumps off the building. He then fires the arrow, which acts as a grappling hook and he swings into one of the lower floors, crashing through the window.*

*Hulk smashes some Chitauri soldiers on a roof but is surrounded by several chariots. They then begin firing at Hulk all at once.*
Hulk: Rrrraaagghhh!

*A lone pilot sits in the cockpit of a jet.*
Council Member 1: Director Fury is no longer in command. Override order, 7-Alpha-1-1.
Pilot: 7-Alpha-1-1, confirmed. We’re up for takeoff.

Hill: Sir, we have a bird in motion! Anyone on the deck, we have a rogue bird! We need to shut it down! Repeat! Take off is not authorized!

*Fury runs out to the runway with a rocket launcher in hand and shoots the turbine of the jet, preventing it from taking off. But another jet takes off.*
Fury: Stark, you hearing me? You have a missile headed straight for the city.

Iron Man: How long?
*The Chitauri soldiers begin beating him up.*
Fury: Three minutes, max. The payload will wipe out Midtown.
Iron Man: Jarvis, put everything we got into the thrusters!
JARVIS: I just did.
*The soldiers gang up on him, but Iron Man is able to fly away.*

*The jet arrives in New York and fires the missile.*
Pilot: Package is sent. Destination is in 2 minutes, 30 seconds, mark.

*Luffy sees more and more chariots flying out of the portal.*
Luffy: This isn’t good!
Black Widow: Straw Hat, I’m gonna need to borrow that scepter.
Luffy: Why?
Black Widow: No time to explain. Give it to me and go help the others.

*On the streets, Captain America, Thor and Loki are fighting Chitauri soldiers that begin to surround them. Captain America and Morbius get shot as more surround them. Thor blocks several blasts with Mjolnir and flips over a car to crush a few of them. He then helps Captain America and Morbius back on their feet.*
Thor: Are you ready for another bout?
Captain America: What, are you getting sleepy?
Morbius: I am kinda.
*A soldier attempts to attack them from behind, but Luffy appears and punches it.*

*While Dr. Selvig is on his computer, Black Widow returns with Loki’s scepter.*
Erik: Right at the crown!
*She then uses it to penetrate through the energy barrier around the machine.*
Black Widow: I can close it! Can anybody copy? I can shut the portal down!

Captain America: Do it!
Iron Man: No, wait!
Captain America: Stark, these things are still coming!
Morbius: Yeah, we can’t keep fighting them forever!
Iron Man: I got a nuke coming in. It's gonna blow in less than a minute.
*He speeds up and catches up to the missile.*
Iron Man: And I know just where to put it.
*He then grabs it from behind, steering it off course.*
Captain America: Stark, you know that's a one-way trip.
Iron Man: Save the rest for return, J.
JARVIS: Sir… Shall I call Miss Potts?
Iron Man: Might as well.

*In a private jet, Pepper Potts and her crew watch news reports on tv. She’s unaware Tony is trying to call her.*

*Every single agent on the Helicarrier watches the news reports as well.*

*Iron Man puts everything into his front propulsors. He briefly clashes against Stark Tower but is able to guide the missile up.*

Luffy: What’s he doing?
Morbius: I’m not entirely sure to be honest.

*Iron Man is able to reach the portal and both him and the missile are warped away.*

*Everyone on the Helicarrier cheers, except Fury. Who simply sighs in relief.*

*Iron Man is taken somewhere deep in space, the power dying down in is suit. He lets it go after it’s depleted and as he descends, looks at the missile hitting the mothership of the Chitauri fleet, destroying it.*

*All the remaing Chitauri soldiers and Leviathans keel over and die once the mothership is destroyed.*
Luffy: What the heck?
*Everyone looks up, hoping he’ll make it through.*

Black Widow: Come on, Stark.

Captain: America:… Close it.

*Black Widow pushes the scepter into the CMS machine, causing the energy to disperse.*

*The portal begins to close. Luckily, Iron Man falls through it just as it completely closes.*
Captain America: Son of a gun.
Luffy: He made it!
Morbius: Hell yeah!
*But he keeps falling and falling.*
Thor: He's not slowing down.
Morbius: Oh no!
*Thor prepares to fly off. But Hulk appears and catches him midair. They both crash next to the others, Hulk takes the damage as they land.*
Luffy: Stark!
*They quickly rush to his side. Thor tears off the faceplate of his helmet. Captain America tries to listen for his heartbeat.*
Luffy: Is he…
Morbius: I don’t know.
Hulk: Rraaghh!
*He then is woken up.*
Hulk: Rraaaghhh!
Iron Man: What the hell? What just happened?
Luffy: You fell from the sky after going through that space portal thing.
Iron Man: Please tell me nobody kissed me.
Morbius: Thankfully, no. You smell awful.
Captain America: We won.
Iron Man: Alright, hey. Hurray. Good job, guys. Let's just not come in tomorrow...let's just...take a day. Have you ever tried shawarma? There's a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don't know what it is, but I wanna try it.
Luffy: Sounds good.
Thor: We’re not finished yet.
Iron Man: And then shawarma after.

*Loki tries to crawl away but turns around and sees the Avengers staring at him.*
Loki: If it's all the same to you. I'll have that drink now.

*Nearly a week later, several news reports of the battle in New York are being covered. Including the Avengers, most of which have gained fans. And some critics. Several of them are behind watched by Nick Fury.*
Reporter: Despite the devastation of what has been confirmed as an extraterrestrial attack, the extraordinary heroics of the group known as the Avengers has been to many not just a cause for comfort, but for celebration.
Stan Lee: Superheroes? In New York? Give me a break.
Senator: These so called heroes have to be held responsible for the destruction done to the city. This was their fight. Where are they now?
Waitress: What? That this was somehow their fault? Captain America saved my life. Wherever he is, wherever any of them are, I just wanna say thank you.

*The Avengers gather in a park, with Loki cuffed and gagged.*

Council Member 2: Where are the Avengers?
Fury: I'm not currently tracking their whereabouts. I'd say they've earned a leave of absence.
Council Member 1: And the Tesseract?
Fury: The Tesseract is where it belongs. Out of our reach.

*Bruce Banner and Dr. Selvig place the Tesseract in a glass tube.*

Council Member 2: That's not your call.
Fury: I didn't make it. I just didn't argue with the god that did.
Council Member 2: So, you let him take it and the war criminal, Loki, who should be answering for his crimes?
Fury: Oh, I think he will be.

*Thor and Loki use the Tesseract to teleport them away. Most likely back to Asgard. The Avengers then all shake hands and say goodbye.*

Council Member 1: I don't think you understand what you've started, letting the Avengers loose on this world. They're dangerous.
Fury: They surely are. And the whole world knows it. Every world knows it.
Council Member 2: Was that the point of all this? A statement?
Fury: A promise.
*He then hangs up and walks to the Helicarrier Bridge.*
Hill: Sir, how does it work now? They've gone their separate ways. Some pretty extremely far. If we get into a situation like this again, what happens then?
Fury: They'll come back.
Hill: You really sure about that?
Fury: I am.
Hill: Why?
Fury: Because we'll need them to.

*Tony and Peter begin working on new designs for Stark Tower. Where the only letter that remains is A.*
