*Back on the Helicarrier.*
Coulson: As soon as Loki took the doctor we moved Jane Foster. We've got an excellent observatory in Tromso. She was asked to consult there very suddenly yesterday. Handsome fee, private plane, very remote. She'll be safe.
Thor: Thank you. It's no accident Loki taking Erik Selvig. I dread what he plans for him once he's done. Erik is a good man.
Coulson: He talks about you a lot. You changed his life. You changed everything around here.
Thor: They were better as they were. We pretend on Asgard that we're more advanced, but we... we come here battling like Bilgesnipe.
Coulson: Like what?
Thor: Bilgesnipe? You know, huge, scaly, big antlers. You don't have those?
Coulson: Don't think so.
Thor: They are repulsive, and they trample everything in their path.
*He looks out the window.*
Thor: When I first came to Earth, Loki's rage followed me here and your people paid the price. And now again. In my youth I courted war.
Fury: War hasn't started yet. You think you can make Loki tell us what the Tesseract is?
Thor: I do not know. Loki's mind is far afield, it's not just power he craves, it's vengeance upon me. There's no pain that would prize his need from him.
Fury: A lot of guys think that, until the pain stops.
Thor: What are you asking me to do?
Fury: I'm asking, what are you prepared to do?
Thor: Loki is a prisoner.
Fury: Then why do I feel like he's the only person on this boat that wants to be here?

*Loki paces back and forth in his cell until he suddenly stops.*
Loki: There's not many people that can sneak up on me.
*He looks around and sees Natasha behind him.*
Natasha: But you figured I'd come.
Loki: After. After whatever tortures Fury can concoct, you would appear as a friend, as a balm. And I would cooperate.
Natasha: I wanna know what you've done to Agent Barton.
Loki: I'd say I've expanded his mind.
Natasha: And once you've won. Once you're king of the mountain. What happens to his mind?
Loki: Is this love, Agent Romanoff?
Natasha: Love is for children. I owe him a debt.
*Loki sits down. As does Natasha.*
Natasha: Before I worked for SHIELD, I uh...well, I made a name for myself. I have a very specific skillset. I didn't care who I used it for, or on. I got on SHIELD's radar in a bad way. Agent Barton was sent to kill me, he made a different call.
Loki: And what will you do if I vow to spare him?
Natasha: Not let you out.
Loki: Ah, no. But I like this. Your world in the balance, and you bargain for one man?
Loki: Regimes fall every day. I tend not to weep over that, I'm Russian... or was.
Loki: And what are you now?
Natasha: It's really not that complicated. I've got red in my ledger, I'd like to wipe it out.
Loki: Can you? Can you wipe out that much red? Drakov’s daughter? São Paulo? The hospital fire? Barton told me everything. Your ledger is dripping, it's gushing red, and you think saving a man no more virtuous than yourself will change anything?
*He stands up and faces her.*
Loki: This is the basest sentimentality. This is a child at prayer... PATHETIC! You pretend to be separate, to have your own code, something that makes up for the horrors. But they are a part of you, and they will never go away!

*As Tony, Bruce and Morbius continue locating the Tesseract, they look through restricted SHIELD files. Fury and Hill see the monitors displaying the presence at the system. And Steve and Luffy find steel crates continuing HYDRA weapons from WWII. Ones that were powered by the Tesseract.*

*Loki slams his fist against the glass.*
Loki: I won't touch Barton. Not until I make him kill you! Slowly. Intimately. In every way he knows you fear! And when he'll wake just long enough to see his good work, and when he screams, I'll split his skull! This is my bargain, you mewling quim!
*She turns around in disgust.*
Natasha: You're a monster.
Loki: No, you brought the monster.
*She then turns back.*
Natasha: So, Banner... that's your play.
Loki: What?
*Natasha talks into her earpiece.*
Natasha: Loki means to unleash the Hulk. Keep Banner in the lab, I'm on my way. Send Thor as well. Thank you for your cooperation.
*She leaves the room.*

*Fury enters the lab.*
Fury: What are you doing, Mr. Stark?
Tony: Uh...kind of been wondering the same thing about you.
Fury: You're supposed to be locating the Tesseract.
Bruce: We are. The model's locked and we're sweeping for the signature now. When we get a hit, we'll have the location within half a mile.
Tony: And you'll get your cube back, no muss, no fuss.
*The monitor displays several secret files.*
Tony: What is Phase 2?
Morbius: Yeah, Mr. Fury. What is this “Phase 2”?
*Steve and Luffy then enter the lab. Bringing one of the HYDRA guns.*
Steve: Phase 2 is SHIELD uses the cube to make weapons. Sorry, the computer was moving a little slow.
Luffy: Yeah, we looked around and found these old weapons that Cap said his enemies used during the war.
Fury: Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract. This does not mean that we're-
*But Tony pulls up a file on a weapon plan that utilizes the Tesseract’s energy.*
Tony: I'm sorry, Nick. What were you lying?
Steve: I was wrong, director. The world hasn't changed a bit.
Morbius: I knew something odd was going on around here. Guess you can never trust the government.
*Natasha and Thor enter.*
Bruce: Did you know about this?
Natasha: You wanna think about removing yourself from this environment, doctor?
Bruce: I was in Calcutta, I was pretty well removed.
Natasha: Loki's manipulating you.
Bruce: And you've been doing what exactly?
Natasha: You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you.
Bruce: Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy. I'd like to know why SHIELD is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction.
Morbius: Me too.
Fury: Because of him.
*He points at Thor.*
Thor: Me?
Luffy: You’re building weapons because of Thor? But he’s a good guy.
Fury: A few months ago, Earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. And not long after that, an alien army came to police the entire planet. We learned we weren’t alone years before, but in those instances we learned we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned.
Thor: My people want nothing but peace with your planet.
Fury: But you're not the only people out there, are you? And, you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, they can't be controlled.
Steve: Like you controlled the cube?
Thor: Your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is the signal to all the realms that the earth is ready for a higher form of war.
Steve: A higher form?
Luffy: What does that mean?
Fury: You forced our hand. We had to come up with something.
Morbius: And your solution was to use a destructive unstable energy that nearly destroyed our world. A really great solution there.
Tony: Nuclear deterrent. `Cause that always calms everything right down.
Fury: Remind me again how you made your fortune, Stark?
Steve: I'm sure if he still made weapons, Stark would be neck deep-
Tony: Wait! Wait! Hold on! How is this now about me?
Steve: I'm sorry, isn't everything?
Thor: I thought humans were more evolved than this.
Fury: Excuse me, did WE come to YOUR planet and blow stuff up?
Thor: Did you always give your champions such mistrust?
Natasha: Are you boys really that naive? SHIELD monitors potential threats.
Bruce: Captain America is on threat watch?
Natasha: We all are.
Morbius: Oh, is that why me and Luffy are here? So you could arrest us once our job is done?
Luffy: You were gonna arrest us?!
Fury: That’s not important right now!
Morbius: I think it is!
Luffy: Me too!
Natasha: You two have been on SHIELD’s threat list for a while now, just as the rest of us.
Tony: You're on that list? Are you above or below angry bees?
Steve: I swear to God, Stark, one more crack-
Tony: Threat! Verbal threat! I feel threatened.
Steve: Show some respect.
Tony: Respect what?
*As they continue arguing, none of them notice that Loki’s scepter is glowing.*

*Clint Barton and some other of Loki’s mind controlled minions are in a Quinjet on our way to the Helicarrier via tracking the scepter.*
Base Control: 661 Bravo, please relay your pass code. I’ve got you on the computer, but no on the day log. What is your haul? Over.
Clint: Arms to ammunition, over.
*Everyone in the jet prepares themselves. Including Barton.*

Thor: You speak of control, yet you court chaos.
Bruce: It's his M.O., isn't it? I mean, what are we, a team? No, no, no. We're a chemical mixture that makes chaos. We're... we're a time-bomb.
Fury: You need to step away.
Tony: Why shouldn't the guy let off a little steam?
*He puts his arm on Steve, but he pushes Tony’s arm off.*
Steve: You know damn well why! Back off!
Tony: Oh, I'm starting to want you to make me.
Steve: Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off, what are you?
Tony: Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.
Morbius: He’s not wrong.
Steve: I know guys with none of that worth ten of you. Yeah, I've seen the footage. The only thing you really fight for is yourself. You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay down on a wire and let the other guy crawl over you.
Tony: I think I would just cut the wire.
Steve: Always a way out... You know, you may not be a threat, but you better stop pretending to be a hero.
Tony: A hero? Like you? You're a lab rat, Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle!

*The Hanger bay opens on the Quinjet, allowing Clint to shoot an arrow in the air. The wind blows the arrow into one of the turbines on the Helicarrier. A timer goes off on the arrow.*

Steve: Put on the suit, let's go a few rounds.
Luffy: Oh, a fight!
Thor: Hahahaha. You people are so petty... and tiny.
Bruce: Yeah, this is a team…
Fury: Agent Romanoff, would you escort Dr. Banner back to his-
Bruce: Where? You rented my room.
Fury: The cell was just in case-
Bruce: In case you needed to kill me, but you can't! I know! I tried! I got low. I didn't see an end, so I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out! So I moved on. I focused on helping other people. I was good, until you dragged me back into this freak show and put everyone here at risk!
*He starts to unravel.*
Bruce: You wanna know my secret, Agent Romanoff? You wanna know how I stay calm?
*Fury and Natasha put their hands on their guns.*
Steve: Doctor Banner... put down the scepter.
*He looks down and sees he’s holding the scepter. The computers finish locating the Tesseract.*
Tony: Got it.
*Bruce puts the scepter down a walks away.*
Bruce: Sorry, kids. You don't get to see my little party trick after all.
Thor: Located the Tesseract?
Morbius: Yeah.
Tony: I can get there faster.
Steve: Look, all of us-
Thor: The Tesseract belongs on Asgard, no human is a match for it.
Luffy: Don’t worry, we’ll bring it back here safe and sound.
Fury: There’s no way I’m letting you one foot near it.
Morbius: Why? Cause we’re pirates, think we’ll steal your precious space cube? Trust me, me and Luffy don’t want anything to do with that thing.
Luffy: Yeah.
Steve: You're not going alone!
Tony: You gonna stop me?
Steve: Put on the suit, let's find out.
Tony: I'm not afraid to hit an old man.
Steve: Put on the suit.
*Bruce notices something on the monitor.*
Bruce: Oh, my God!

*The timer goes off, causing an explosion to go off and destroy the turbine.*

*The explosion causes everyone to be thrown out of the room. But Bruce, Natasha and Morbius fall down down into a lower level room.*
Steve: Put on the suit!
Tony: Yep!
*While they leave to see the damage done to the Helicarrier, Fury puts in his earpiece.*
Fury: Hill?!
Hill: External detonation! Number 3 engine is down! Can we get a run in? Talk to me.
SHIELD Agent: Turbine's looks mostly intact, but it's impossible to get out there and make repairs while we're in the air.
Hill: We lose one more engine, we won't be. Somebody's got to get inside and patch that engine.
Fury: Stark! You copy that?!
Tony: I'm on it!
Fury: Coulson! Initiate official lock down in the detention section then get to the armory! Move out! Romanoff?

*Natasha looks over at Bruce and Morbius.*
Natasha: I'm okay.
*But she notices Bruce is getting intense and is fighting to keep his alter ego under control. While at the same time, Morbius begins to feel his hunger and attempts to settle it by drinking a packet of blood. But they have all spilled out when they fell.*
Natasha: We're okay, right?

*Barton and his men head to one of the air ducts and enter through it.*
Clint: Get that engine down! Detention! Wait till the camera go dark! Come with me.
*He takes two men while the rest split off.*

*Tony and Steve run through a hall.*
Tony: Find engine three. I'll meet you there.
*Steve goes to the engine room while Tony approaches a large crate containing his Iron Man suit.*

*As Natasha pulls herself out of the debris, Morbius and Bruce struggle to maintain control of themselves.*
Natasha: Doctor... Bruce, you gotta fight it. This is just what Loki wants. We're gonna be okay. Listen to me.
*Two SHIELD agents approach her but she waves them away.*
Morbius: Must have… blood…
*He crawls away from her, in hopes of trying not to harm Natasha.*
Natasha: Dr. Morbius?
Morbius: Leave me!
*She turns her attention back on Banner.*
Natasha: We're gonna be okay. Right? I swear on my life I will get you out of this, you will walk away, and never-
Bruce: Your life?
*His skin begins to turn green and his muscles begin to expand. He gives her one more look before he begins transforming into his alter ego, The Hulk.*
Natasha: Bruce.
Hulk: Rrrraaaaghhh!
*The Hulk looks at her just as she manages to free herself. He runs towards her, but she runs up a staircase and rolls into a maze of pipes. Morbius then appears and attempts to bite her. But Natasha kicks him back and moves forward. However, Hulk begins removing the grating to try and get her. Luckily, she’s able to fall under the catwalk and escapes them both.*
Hulk: Rrrraaaaghhh!

*Loki hears the roars of the Hulk from inside his cell and smiles mischievously.*
