The Avengers part 1
*In an unknown location in space, a cloaked humanoid alien kneels before a throne that’s facing the opposite direction.*
???: The tesseract has awakened. It is on a little world. A human world. They would wield its power… But our ally knows its workings as they never will. He is ready to lead. And our force, our Chitauri, will follow. The world will be his. The universe yours. And the humans, what can they do but burn?
*On Earth, a SHIELD Facility is in the middle of an evacuation. But Agent Coulson watches a helicopter land on a landing land in front of him. Out comes SHIELD director Nick Fury and his second in command, Maria Hill.*
Nick Fury: How bad is it?
Coulson: That's the problem sir. We don't know.
*The trio enter the facility as people are taking equipment for evacuation.*
Coulson: Selvig read an energy surge from the Tesseract four hours ago.
Fury: NASA didn't authorize Selvig to test phase.
Coulson: He wasn't testing it, he wasn't even in the room. Spontaneous advancement.
Maria Hill: It just turned itself on?
Fury: What are the energy levels now?
Coulson: Climbing. When Selvig couldn't shut it down, we ordered evac.
Fury: How long to get everyone out?
Coulson: Campus should be clear in the next half hour.
Fury: Do better.
*Nick Fury and Maria Hill go deeper into the facility while Coulson helps with the evacuation.*
Hill: Sir, evacuation may be futile.
Fury: We should tell them to go back to sleep?
Hill: If we can't control the Tesseract's energy, there may not be a minimum safe distance.
Fury: I need you to make sure Phase 2 prototypes are shipped out.
Hill: Sir, is that really a priority right now?
Fury: Until such a time as the world ends, we will act as though it intends to spin on. Clear out the tech below. Every piece of Phase 2 on a truck and gone.
Hill: Yes sir.
*Hill takes some agents to secrure more equipment while Fury enters the Tesseract testing chamber. It’s head scientist is Dr. Erik Selvig.*
Fury: Talk to me doctor.
Erik: Director.
Fury: Is there anything we know for certain?
Erik: The Tesseract is misbehaving.
Fury: Is that supposed to be funny?
Erik: No, it's not funny at all. The Tesseract is not only active, she's... behaving.
Fury: How soon until you pull the plug?
Erik: She's an energy source. If we turn off the power, she turns it back on. If she reaches peak level-
Fury: We've prepared for this doctor. Harnessing energy from space.
Erik: We don't have the harness. Our calculations are far from complete. Now she's throwing off interference, radiation. Nothing harmful, low levels of gamma radiation.
Fury: That can be harmful. Where's Agent Barton?
Erik: The Hawk? Up in his nest, as usual.
*Agent Clint Barton, also known as Hawkeye, is watching them all on some railings from below. Fury calls him through a radio.*
Fury: Agent Barton, report.
*He then climbs down a rope and joins Fury.*
Fury: I gave you this detail so you could keep a close eye on things.
Clint: Well, I see better from a distance.
Fury: Are you seeing anything that might set this thing off?
Scientist: Doctor, it's spiking again.
*They approach the CMS machine containing the Tesseract.*
Clint: No one's come or gone. It's oven is clean. No contacts, no I.M.s. If there was any tampering, sir, it wasn't at this end.
Fury: “At this end?”
Clint: Yeah, the cube is a doorway to the other end of space, right? The doors open from both sides.
*Suddenly, the Tesseract begins releasing large amounts of energy that shakes the foundations of the facility. Then, it opens a portal vortex on the edge of the platform. After it disappears, it releases a gust of energy that knocks everyone back. The portal then moves above on the ceiling. On the platform, is the asgardian god of mischief, Loki. Now wielding an alien scepter and grinning evilly.*
Fury: Sir please put down the spear.
*But Loki fires a blast of energy from his scepter at Fury but Clint pushes him out of the way. Some armed guards shoot at him but the bullets bounce off him. He then easily takes them out and fires another blast of energy at the scientists. Some more guards try to shoot him it Loki throws daggers into their chests. Loki takes down more guards with ease. Clint tries to attack him but Loki grabs his wrist, disarming him.*
Loki: You have heart.
*Loki places the tip of his scepter on Clint’s chest, using its power to mind control him make Clint his willing slave. He then begins doing the same to more agents. Fury takes the Tesseract out of the machine and places it in a briefcase. He attempts to escape but Loki catches him.*
Loki: Please don't. I still need that.
Fury: This doesn't have to get any messier.
Loki: Of course it does. I've come too far for anything else. I am Loki of Asgard, and I am burdened with glorious purpose.
Erik: Loki? Brother of Thor.
Fury: We have no quarrel with your people.
Loki: An ant had no quarrel with a boot.
Fury: You planning to step on us?
Loki: I come with glad tidings, of a world made free.
Fury: Free from what?
Loki: Freedom. Freedom is life's great lie. Once you accept that, in your heart..
*He then uses the scepter to place Dr. Selvig under his control.*
Loki: You will know peace.
Fury: Yeah, you say peace, I kind of think you mean the other thing.
*Clint notices the portal building energy, most likely getting ready to implode on itself.*
Clint: Sir, Director Fury is stalling. This place is about to blow. Drop a hundred feet of rock on us. He means to bury us.
Fury: Like the Pharaohs of old.
Erik: He's right. The portal is collapsing in on itself. You got maybe two minutes before this goes critical.
Loki: Well then.
*Without hesitation, Clint shoots Fury, making him collapse on the floor. He then grabs the briefcase containing the Tesseract and leaves with Loki and the others under his control.*
*Loki and his mind controlled slaves head to a parking garage where Maria Hill is.*
Clint: Need these vehicles.
*Loki’s group climbs into a black pick up truck.*
Hill: Who's that?
Clint: He didn't tell me.
*Hill is suspicious of them. She then gets a call from Fury on a walkie talkie. Who survived by wearing a bulletproof vest.*
Fury: Hill, do you copy? Barton had turned!
*Clint shoots at Hill but she avoids being hit. He then gets in the truck and drives away.*
*Fury escapes the testing chamber as the portal is starting to become unstable and destroy its surroundings.*
Fury: He's got the Tesseract! Track it down!
*Hill quickly gets into a jeep and pursues them.*
*Several cars chase after the truck and shoot at it. Loki fires a blast of energy at one of them, causing it to crash and block the tunnel. But Hill manages to keep up with them.
*Fury races against the clock, trying to get out of the facility before it’s destroyed.*
*Hill pulls her jeep up in front of the truck and tries to shoot them. But Clint shoots back.*
*Coulson and some agents reach a transport truck. He then calls Fury on a walkie talkie.*
Coulson: We’re clear upstairs, sir. We need to go.
*Fury manages to reach the helicopter and gets in just as it’s about to take off. The ground begins to break apart once it's airborne.*
*Loki’s truck manages to get ahead of Hill but she still chases after them. But the portal collapses, releasing a blast of energy that consumes everything. Fury watches the facility crumble and Coulson’s truck feels the shockwaves. Loki’s truck manages to escape the tunnel but Hill’s jeep gets trapped by falling rocks. Once outside, Fury’s helicopter pursues after Loki. Fury shoots at the truck trying to stop it, but Loki shoots it didn’t with his scepter. Fury manages to survive the crash but Loki escapes with the Tesseract. Coulson calls Fury again.*
Coulson: Director? Director Fury, do you copy?
Fury; The tesseract is with the hostile force. I have men down. Hill?
*Hill climbs out of her jeep.*
Hill: A lot of men still under, don't know how many survivors.
Fury: Sound the general call. I want every living soul not working rescue looking for that briefcase.
Hill: Roger that.
Fury: Coulson, get back to base. This is a Level Seven. As of right now, we are at war.
Coulson: What do we do?
*Fury has a thought.*
*Somewhere along the east coast, the Straw Hat Pirates have docked at a harbor town. All of them sit on the deck.*
Usopp: Oh, my gosh! He’s gonna do it!
Sanji: There’s no way!
Zoro: 36.
Morbius: He’s gonna explode!
Zoro: 37.
Usopp: How’s he doing that with his face?!
Morbius: Come one, Luffy! One more!
*Luffy fits a bean bun in his mouth. As he’s seeing how many he can fit.*
Luffy: 38 bean buns!
Zoro: Woah, new record.
Sanji: Wow, I didn't think you could fit that much in your mouth.
Morbius: Come on, hit 40!
Usopp: He’ll never hit 40!
Luffy: *muffled* Oh, I can do it too!
Zoro: Do it.
Luffy: *muffled* No problem!
*Luffy puts 2 more into mouth. At first he struggled to fit them inside. But he’s finally able to close his mouth.*
Luffy: *muffled* 40!
Morbius: Wow, way to go, man!
*Luffy then swallows them.*
Luffy: New record! Did you see that, Nami?!
*But Nami is sitting on a folding chair across from them.*
Nami: I wish there were more women on this crew.
Luffy: One of these days, I bet I can fit 100.
Usopp: That’s a suicide mission!
*Nami looks over a sea chart.*
Nami: That’s strange…
???: Excuse me! I’m looking for a Straw Hat Luffy!
*Everyone but Luffy looks worried.*
Morbius: Maybe if we ignore him, he’ll go away.
*Luffy leans against the Going Merry.*
Luffy: That’s me!
All: Idiot!
Luffy: What do you want?
Fury: I was hoping to have a word with you. You and another member of your crew. Dr. Mitchel Morbius.
Luffy: And who are you?
Fury: Nick Fury. Director of SHIELD.
*Morbius runs over to the edge.*
Morbius: I’m sorry, did you say SHIELD?
Luffy: What’s that?
Morbius: Remember that agent guy that arrested me from when Milo framed me? He’s part of the same organization as him. Wait… There’s a shadow government guy at our doorstep!
Fury: I’m gonna need both to come on down to have a talk with you both.
Luffy: Sure thing-
Morbius: Oh, hell no! We’re not dumb enough to fall for any sting operation you may have going on.
Fury: Then I guess I’ll have no choice but you arrest you all.
Morbius:… Oh yeah? You and what army?
*the Merry is surrounded by SHIELD battleships*
Morbius: …Fine, we’ll come down!
Nami: Wait, you’re not actually gonna do what he says, right?
Luffy: I’m sure we can handle it.
*Luffy and Morbius climb down to speak with Fury.*
Morbius: Alright, make this quick, shady government man.
Fury: Nice to finally meet you, two.
Luffy: You heard of us?
Fury: You’ve been on our radar since Nevada. And most recently, that incident in New York.
Morbius: Oh really. And how is Agent Stroud?
Fury: He resigned shortly afterwards.
Luffy: So what do you want, eyepatch?
Fury: Straight to the point, I see. From what I understand, you’re not one for long explanations for I’ll keep this short as I can. Last night, a facility of ours was attacked by an extraterrestrial threat and stole something incredibly valuable but dangerous.
Luffy: Extraterr-what?
Morbius: He means someone not from planet earth.
Luffy: WHAT, AN ALIEN!?
Fury: Correct.
*He hands Morbius a case file.*
Fury: This perpetrator called himself Loki.
Morbius: Loki? As in the Norse god of mischief?
Fury: And our records show that you have experience with his kind.
Luffy: Gods? You mean Thor? That guy with that hammer that could shoot lightning?
Morbius: I suppose so. What exactly is it you want with us?
Fury: I want you to help us in locating the energy core he stole from us, doctor. And as for you, Straw Hat, I want you to kick his space ass once we find him.
Morbius: And what makes you think we’d just agree to help you?
Fury: I could arrest you and your friends, have your ship taken into a scrapyard and all of you incarcerated for piracy. Now we do this the easy way. Or the hard way…
Luffy: Well…?
*He turns his head towards Morbius.*
Morbius: Alright, fine.
Fury: Good. Once we gather the others we’ll have you get started right away.
Morbius: Others?
Luffy: What others?
