Hazbin Hotel part 1
Once upon a time, there was a glowing city protected by golden gates, known as Heaven. It was ruled by beings of pure light. Angels that worshiped good and shielded all from evil. Lucifer was one of these angels. He was a dreamer with fantastical ideas for all of creation. But, he was seen as a troublemaker by the elders of Heaven. For they felt his way of thinking was dangerous to the order of their world. So, he watched as the angels began to expand the universe in their ways. From the dust of Earth, they created Adam and Lilith. Equals as the first of mankind, but despite this, Adam demanded control, and Lilith refused to submit to his will. She fled the Garden. Drawn in by her fierce independence, Lucifer found her and the two rebellious dreamers fell deeply in love. Together, they wished to share the magic of free will with humanity, offering the Fruit of Knowledge to Adam's new bride, Eve, who gladly accepted. But this gift came with a curse. For with this single act of disobedience, evil finally found its way into the Earth. With it, a new realm of darkness and sin. And the order Heaven worked to maintain was shattered. As punishment for their reckless act, Heaven cast Lucifer and his love into the dark pit he had created, never allowing him to see the good that came from humanity, only the cruel and the wicked. Ashamed, Lucifer lost his will to dream. But Lilith thrived, empowering demonkind with her voice and her songs. And as the numbers of Hell grew, so did its power. Threatened by this, Heaven made a truly heartless decision. That every year, they would send down an army, an Extermination, to ensure Hell and its sinners could never rise against them.
*In the realm of Hell, a yearly extermination has finished taking place. A woman heads towards the balcony of a tall building. As she reaches the edge. She releases fireworks into the sky, signaling all the sinners and demons that this year’s extermination was over. All the demons that survived come out of hiding and begin to return to their day today life. As corpses are laid upon the streets. Seeing this sight brings tears to the woman’s eyes. She was Charlie Morningstar, daughter of Lucifer and Lilith.*
Charlie Morningstar: ♫ At the end of the rainbow, there's happiness. ♫
♫ And, to find it, how often I've tried. ♫
♫ But, my life, is a race. Just a wild goose chase. ♫
♫ And, my dreams, have all been denied. / Why have I always been a failure? ♫
♫ What can the reason be? / I wonder if the world's to blame. ♫
♫ I wonder if it could be me. ♫
♫ I'm always chasing rainbows. / Watching clouds drifting by. ♫
♫ My schemes are just like all my dreams. / Ending in the sky. ♫
♫ Some fellows look and find the sunshine. ♫
♫ I always look and find the rain. ♫
♫ Some fellows make a winning sometime. ♫
♫ I never even make a gain. / Believe me. ♫
♫ I'm always chasing rainbows. ♫
♫ Waiting to find a little bluebird... in vain. ♫
*Charlie watches a large clock tower in the city reset, counting down to the next extermination.*
*On Earth, the Going Merry and its crew continue its journey across the sea.*
Luffy: Hey, Nami! Are there any islands around d here?!
Nami: Don’t count on it, Luffy. All the maps I’ve looked at don’t show any in this region.
Zoro: Zzzzzz…
Luffy: Aw, man.
Morbius: Cheer up, pal. I’m sure there’s all kinds of other sights to see. Like…
*There is only seawater around them.*
Morbius: Um… i guess… the water is blue?
Usopp: Just say it, dude. There’s nothing out here.
Morbius: … there’s a… turtle over there… 20 feet in the water?
Usopp: ugh…
Sanji: Yeah. Oh, what I wouldn’t give for a group of hot girls to be here. But at least I have you, Nami!
Luffy: You think we’ll encounter any more giant monsters out here?
Usopp: I hope not! I’ve already had enough of those with Godzilla and those Muto things!
Morbius: I say we try to stay away from any more Kaijus. Even though giant monsters are cool. Mmm, brings me back to the old Toho movies with such classics like giant raptor and Meguigan the Unbelievable!
*Zoro wakes up and sees something in the distance shrouded by a fog.*
Zoro: Hey, guys. I think there’s an island up ahead.
Sanji: An island?
Nami: That’s impossible. All maps we have don’t show any.
Morbius: Well, we’ve only explored a small portion of the entire ocean. We could be discovering something new.
Luffy: Cool! Let’s go there!
Usopp: No! Who knows what could be there!
Nami: Actually, this would be a good chance to measure and document the island.
Sanji: And gather some supplies while we’re at it. There could be some exotic fish there we can cook.
Morbius: Guess we’re all in agreement then.
Usopp: I’m not!
*The Strawhat pirates make landfall on the mysterious island.*
Luffy: Woohoo! A new island to explore!
Usopp: Oh, no! I’ve been infected with the “I can’t go onto that spooky island” disease!
Morbius: Shut up, it’s not a real thing. Just stay on the ship if you’re so scared.
Usopp: Me, scared?! The great Captain Usopp doesn’t get scared!
Nami: Zoro, you stay on the ship while the rest of us explore the island.
Zoro: Yeah, whatever.
*He goes back to sleep.*
Nami: Well, I’m off to measure the island.
Sanji: Wait for me, Nami!
*Sanji follows Nami into the forest.*
Usopp: Guess it’s just us 3 to explore-
*But Luffy and Morbius have already run off.*
Usopp: Aw man.
*Luffy and Morbius walk around the beach.*
Luffy: Wonder what’s on this island.
Morbius: I don’t know.
*They see piles of seaweed and driftwood all across the sand.*
Morbius: There must’ve been a storm or something recently. Sure washed up a bunch of junk and stuff.
*He then trips over.*
Luffy: Hahaha! You fell-
*But then Luffy trips over.*
Morbius: Not so funny, huh?
Luffy: Hey, look.
*Luffy picks up the object they both tripped over in the sand. Revealing to be an old box.*
Luffy: It’s a box. And there’s writing on it.
*Luffy tries to read what’s written on the front.*
Luffy: Can’t read it. You know what this says?
*Morbius looks over the box.*
Morbius: Looks like it’s written in Latin or something. And I didn’t study it. But screw it, let’s see what’s inside.
*They open the box and find a small red crystal inside.*
Luffy: Cool! It must be some kind of treasure!
Morbius: Must be some kind of ruby or something. Wait till Nami sees this.
Luffy: What if there’s other treasure on this island?
Morbius: If so, then let it be known we called dibs on it.
*But suddenly, the crystal begins to glow.*
Luffy: Are jewels supposed to do that?
Morbius: Some jewels shine bright under certain lighting conditions but they don't glow. What the hell is going on?
*Suddenly, it releases a beam of light that opens some kind of portal or something underneath them. They then fall through it.*
*Luffy and Morbius are suddenly in an alleyway.*
Luffy: What was that?!
Morbius: I don’t know! That crystal must’ve done something.
Luffy: Where are we?
Morbius: Looks like an alley. We must be in a city or something.
Luffy: You mean that jewel took us to a different place?
Morbius: If you have any theories on what happened, I’m all ears. Let’s just find out which city we’re in and work our way from there.
*They step out of the alley but find their surroundings to be rather unusual. The sky is red and the citizens all look strange. Most having animal-like features.*
Morbius: What the fuck…?
Luffy: What city is this? And what’s up with all these people?
Morbius: Luffy… I have a really bad feeling about this.
Luffy: Why?
Morbius: Because… WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS!?
