*In an underground laboratory, Agent Coulson meets with his boss. Nick Fury, director of Shield.*
Agent Coulson: The straw hatted Pirate and his friends were recently spotted in Lougetown.
Nick Fury: The place where the king of the pirates was executed.
Agent Coulson: Captain Smoker of the marines attempted to apprehend them, but they got away.
Nick Fury: Seems like luck was in their favor.
Agent Coulson: Are you sure you want those 2 a part of the Avengers Initiative? They are pirates.
Nick Fury: Dr. Mitchel Morbius is a Nobel prize winning scientist. His expertise will be of use to us.
Agent Coulson: And Straw hat Luffy?
Nick Fury: I believe there’s more to him than meets the eye.
*Later, Erik Selvig walks through the lab.*
Nick Fury: Dr. Selvig.
Erik: So you're the man behind all this? It's quite a labyrinth. I was thinking they're taking me down here to kill me.
Nick Fury: I've been hearing about the California situation. Your work has impressed a lot of people who are much smarter than I am.
Erik: I have a lot to work with. The Foster Theory. A gateway to another dimension. It's unprecedented. Isn't it?
Nick Fury: Legend tells us one thing, history, another. But every now and then, we find something that belongs to both.
