Citizen 5: It’s time for the execution!
Citizen 6: Buggy the clown is gonna kill Straw hat Luffy!
Usopp: They’re gonna execute him?!
Nami: That freaking idiot!
Morbius: What are we doing standing around for?! We gotta save him!
Zoro: Let’s go!
Sanji: Hold this.
*Sanji lets go of his end of the fish and runs off with Zoro and Morbius.*
Usopp: Sanji!!
Sanji: And treat it like a lady, you got that?!
Nami: Come on, we gotta hurry.
Usopp: Where are we going, Nami?
Nami: The harbor, you numbskull!
Usopp: Harbor? Oh yeah, I knew that!
Marine 1: Captain Smoker, look. Things are getting weird.
*Smoker and Tashigi see Luffy and Buggy through some binoculars.*
Smoker: It’s that kid. What’s he doing here?
Tashigi: Well, if I didn’t know any better, I would say that Monkey D. Luffy is about to be executed.
Smoker: That kid looks pathetic. For some reason that kid caught my attention. I thought he was different from the others. Looks like he’s nothing but pirate scum after all.
Marine 2: Captain, we’re ready to attack.
Smoker: Don’t be hasty.
Marine 1: But we’ve got them surrounded, sir!
Smoker: I’m in command! You got it?
Marine 1: Yes, sir.
Smoker: One Pirate is about to kill another. Let them fight it out first. That’ll save us the trouble. Listen, once that Straw hat loses his head, we surround Buggy, Alvida and their gang. And do it fast!
*Storm clouds now fill the sky of the town square.*
Buggy: Gyahahahaha! Pirate Monkey D. Luffy of the Straw hats will be flashily executed… for the crime of being stuck up and making me angry! Now live it up flashily!
*Buggy’s men celebrate.*
Luffy: Oh boy, I’ve never seen an execution.
Buggy: Well, you’re about to kid.
Luffy: Hm… What?! Stop joking!
Buggy: It’s no joke. Gyahahahaha!
Luffy: Take this off, you bastard!
Buggy: Alright! I hereby flashily begin the festivities of this public execution! Gyahahahaha!
*Nami and Usopp run to the harbor.*
Nami: I saw a massive cumulus cloud in the eastern sky! That means an unimaginably big storm is headed our way. And it’s coming in fast! If Buggy and Luffy have caused a scene, then the marines are sure to come out. And if our ship is washed out to sea when we need to escape, we’re done for!
Usopp: That is a big deal!
Nami: As a matter of fact, I bet the marines have already started taking action! And they’ll destroy the Going Merry if they find it!
Usopp: Hold on! So you’re telling me the Going Merry’s in danger?! Come on, Nami! Hurry it up!
Nami: Wait for me!
*At the harbor, Mohji and Ritchie find the Going Merry.*

So this is the rubber guy’s ship, huh? Would you look at that? He’s got a bigger ship. He won’t need it where he’s going. Cause it’s almost time for Buggy to flashily finish him off. However, just in case the rubber guy, who has absolutely no chance of escaping, happens to escape, we need to burn this ship down: burning wood smells so good.
Luffy: I’m so sorry. Really, I am. Please spare my life.
Buggy: Why would I spare your life?!
Cabaji: This is what you get when you go against us.
Alvida: I guess this is it for the man I had my eye on.
Buggy: You’ve got quite a big audience here today, Straw hat. You wanna say a few words before you die?

Buggy: Oh? Cat got your tongue? That’s alright. Stay quiet or say a few words, it doesn't matter, you’re still gonna die!
Luffy: Listen! I’m the man who’ll become king of the pirates!
*Luffy’s words echo through the town.*
Citizen 1: What did he say?
Citizen 2: King of the pirates?
Citizen 3: Here of all places?
Buggy: We’re finally getting to the best part of the show. Bye, bye now.
Zoro, Sanji and Morbius: Stop the execution! Now!
*Zoro, Sanji and Morbius appear in the square.*
Luffy: Zoro! Sanji! Morbius!
Tashigi: It’s that guy!
Zoro: Luffy, you idiot. Guess all that fooling around finally caught up to ya, huh?
Sanji: You starting a sideshow? Or is that just how you look? Pretty sad.
Morbius: Pretty embarrassing that our captain ended up in stocks this early into our journey.
Sanji: Now what we gotta do is drive these goons away.
Citizen 4: It’s Pirate hunter Zoro!
*The citizens get scared and try to run away.*
Luffy: Hey guys!
Buggy: You made it, Zoro! And you too, Doctor Morbius! But you’re just a little bit too late.
*Buggy prepares to decapitate Luffy with a sword.*
Zoro: We gotta bring down the platform!
*The 3 run towards the platform.*
Tashigi: Roronoa Zoro… Wait, is that…
Smoker: Doctor Mitchel Morbius. I heard he was captured by pirates. But instead he became one by the looks of it.
Alvida: Ok, boys! Get ‘em!
Pirate 1: Let’s do it!
Pirate 2: Yeah!
*Buggy’s men charge at Zoro, Sanji and Morbius.*
Zoro: Outta our way!
*But the 3 of them start beating them all up.*
Buggy: Gyahahaha! Not even the great Zoro can stop me now! There’s nothing you 3 can do! It’s the end for your captain!
Sanji: Bastard!
Morbius: Let him go, you motherfucker!
Zoro: If I can just cut down the platform…
Smoker: Prepare for battle.
Marines: Sir!
Buggy: Gyahahahahaha!
Luffy: Zoro! Sanji! Morbius! Usopp! Nami! Sorry. But… I’m dead.
Zoro: Idiot!
Sanji: Don’t say that!
Morbius: No!
*Smoker sees Luffy smiling as Buggy’s about to kill him.*
Smoker: He smiled.
*Suddenly, lightning strikes the platform. Causing it to fall to the ground. Which is then followed by rain.*
Morbius: Luffy?
*Luffy emerges from the ruble and picks up his hat. Buggy lays on the ground in shock.*
Luffy: Hahahahaha! I’m still alive! That’s nice!
*Everyone is surprised by what they just saw.*
Morbius: What were the odds of that happening?
Sanji: No way that was luck. That was divine intervention.
Zoro: Stop talking nonsense. We gotta get outta this town. Our troubles are not over.
Smoker: Attack! Surround all the pirates now!
*Marines then surround the town square.*
Sanji: Here they come!
*They then start attacking the pirates.*
Luffy: Oh wow! So cool!! Everybody here went crazy so quickly.
Zoro: Luffy, we don’t have time for this. We have got to get outta here.
Sanji: We’d better hurry back to the Going Merry or we’ll never be able to leave this island.
Morbius: And we sure as hell won’t get to the sea!
Luffy: Really? Well, that’s no good. Run!
*Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and Morbius run away.*
Marine 3: The Straw hat gang is getting away!
Marine 4: Capture them!
Smoker: Why did he smile? Did he know he’d be saved? No. At that moment, he was certain that his life was about to end. He simply accepted death and smiled after preparing himself.
Marine 1: Captain, we have to pursue the pirates.
Smoker: Lieutenant, think back. Have you ever seen any pirates who smiled on the execution platform?
Marine 1: No, sir. It doesn’t matter how tough the guy is. At the moment of death, they all turn pale and die in despair.
Smoker: That straw hat man smiled. I saw it. He smiled just like Gold Roger, 22 years ago. Just like the old king of the pirate did on that exact execution platform.
Marine 1: Captain.
Smoker: Where’s the straw hat man now?
Marine 1: Sir. He slipped past us and is heading towards the harbor.
Smoker: Unit 1 should’ve destroyed their ship by now.
Marine 1: Well, sir. They had to return to port for a refitting. The sudden rain made it difficult to find a way to destroy it.

Marine 1: But a reserve unit is currently making preparations to attack the ship instead.
Tashigi: Captain Smoker, if we let them escape now, they’ll be able to get to the sea before we can capture them.
Smoker: The wind is blowing towards the west. It’s a tailwind for that ship. Is this just mere coincidence? It’s as if heaven itself has special plans for this young pirate.
Zoro: We’d better pick up the paste or we’re toast!
Morbius: Then we shouldn’t stop!
Smoker: I am White hunter Smoker. On my honor as marine captain, I won’t let that man leave this island!
*Meanwhile, A hooded man walks through the streets as it continues to rain.*
