Arlong Park Part 14
Genzo: We’ve had enough! Take up arms! It’s time to fight!
*Nami runs back to the village.*
Nami: Genzo! Please don’t do anything stupid! We have to live or our struggles will mean nothing! You can’t throw your lives away!
*Genzo and everyone in the village grabs weapons and prepare to storm Arlong Park.*
Genzo: 8 long years ago, we promised we wouldn’t live our lives in vain! No matter the pain and humiliation we endured under Arlong, we swore to fight the good fight so Nami could make his demand! But they lied! They never intended to keep their end of the deal! Instead they stole our only chance at freedom! So now we make those filthy fishmen pay for the years they tortured a young girl! Am I right?!
Townsfolk 1: Let’s do this!
Townsfolk 2: We're always ready to fight those monsters! Let’s get them!
Townsfolk 3: Let’s show those fishmen what we're made of!
Nami: Everybody, wait!
Nojiko: Nami.
Nami: Calm down! It’s not that much money! I can make that much back in no time! I can take care of it! It will be easy this time. I’m used to it. Just relax, everything is ok! It’s nothing compared to back then. Come on everyone, I’m perfectly fine.
*But Genzo hugs her.*
Genzo: You’ve done enough. You have to know there’s no point now. We all struggled so hard carrying our lives on your back then. I can only imagine joining them was more painful than being stabbed through the heart. You fought very well.
Nami: Genzo…
Genzo: You should set yourself free from this village.
Nami: Genzo!
Nojiko: Nami, do it!
Nami: What, Nojiko?!
Nojiko: You’re an exceptional young woman. And you have a dream.
Nami: Everyone, listen! I won’t let you go!
*She pulls out a knife.*
Nami: Just stay right there! I’m not gonna let anyone else get hurt by these monsters! You’ll all die…
Genzo: We know.
*He grabs the knife by it’s blade.*
Doctor: Nami, it’s no use. We’ve made up our minds.
Genzo: Get out of the way! Move out!
Doctor: We may not win but we will give them hell!
*Everyone in the village runs past Nami to fight back against Arlong, leaving her all alone. All she thinks about is his laughter and grabs her knife.*
Nami: Arlong!
*She repeatedly stabs the tattoo while crying on her arm, injuring herself. But Luffy stops her.*
Nami: Luffy… What do you want? You don’t know anything about this. You don’t know what’s been happening on this island for the past 8 years.
Luffy: No, I don’t.
Nami: This has nothing to do with you! I told you to leave this place!
Luffy: Yup. Sure did.
Nami: So leave! I told you to leave! Get out of here now! Go away!
*But Luffy doesn’t move and watches her cry.*
Nami: Luffy… Help me…
*Luffy puts his hat in her head.*
Luffy: Of course. That’s what friends do… He’s gonna pay!
Nami: Luffy…
*Zoro, Morbius, Usopp and Sanji overheard the whole thing and waited for Luffy.*
Luffy: Let’s go.
All: Right.
Morbius: Just sit back and let us take care of those bastards.
*His eyes flicker red briefly*
*The villagers find a beat up Johnny and Yosaku at the door to Arlong Park.*
Townsfolk 1: Are you guys ok?
Doctor: Did Arlong do this to you?
Genzo: Move aside. We have business to take care of with the fishmen.
Johnny: When we finally found out the truth about big sis Nami, the only thing we could think of to do was defeat Arlong in battle. We decided to come back here and challenge him.
Yosaku: Then we lost. But only by a hair.
Johnny: I’m sorry, but I can’t let you through this door. You have no chance at victory.
Genzo: What’s that?
Yosaku: Be patient! It won’t be long now. You see, we’re waiting for the arrival of certain men.
Genzo: What “certain men”?
Yosaku: Don’t worry. They’ll be here soon. I bet my life on it.
*Luffy, Zoro, Morbius, Usopp and Sanji walk to Arlong Park.*
Johnny and Yosaku: There!
Nojiko: It’s them.
Genzo: But why would they come to defend our village?
Yosaku: If those guys can’t handle Arlong and his men then there really is no hope. Not only for this island but for the whole eastern sea.
Johnny: Those are the faces of the 5 men that will change your destiny. Burn their images into your memory.
Luffy: Step aside.
*Inside Arlong Park.*
Arlong: Hey, you think those 2 idiots who showed up earlier are members of Zoro’s little group?
Kuroobi: Zoro? They seemed way too weak for that. They weren’t even worth killing.
Arlong: That’s for sure! Shashashasha!
*Luffy breaks down the door.*
Arlong: What the?!
Luffy: Now which one of you is Arlong?
