Baratie part 14
*Gin spins his tonfa around to build momentum.*
Gin: Die!
*Sanji spits his cigarette into Gin’s face, blinding him for a moment to escape his grasp and kick him in the head. But Gim manages to hit Sanji.*
Pirate 1: That cook kicked Gin in the head!
Pirate 3: I can’t believe it. You think he’s still alive?
Krieg: Enough! After all this time, you should know a hell of a lot better than that, you idiots. There’s a reason I trust him above my whole pirate crew. Gin is always a cool headed cold hearted demon and he never quits!
*Sanji gets up.*
Patty: I can’t believe Sanji is getting up.
Carne: He should lie back down. After what he went through his ribs must be completely smashed.
Sanji: Well… that wasn’t… too bad, chief commander. Let me know when you’re ready to really fight.
Morbius: This just keeps getting more intense.
Luffy: Hey, look. He’s just sitting there.
Morbius: You’re right.
Luffy: It’s ass kicking time.
*Luffy and Morbius run on the broken mast of Krieg’s ship to attack him.*
Krieg: Don’t hurt yourselves.
*Krieg flicks a small bomb into the water and it explodes. Krieg then fires a series of spikes at Luffy and Morbius, with some managing to hit them. But they retreat back to the broken deck.*
Krieg: So you both managed to get away.
Luffy and Morbius: Oooww!!!
*They take the spikes out of themselves.*
Luffy: You bastard! Don’t you wanna fight us?!
Morbius: Yeah, what are you, scared?!
Krieg: Fight you? Do I really have to? If all I want to do is kill you, that’s enough for me. I don’t really have any patience for your stupid games, little fools.
Luffy: Oh, yeah?!
*Luffy stretches his mouth.*
Luffy: Then how about I bite your head off?!
Morbius: Luffy, look!
*Luffy looks behind him and sees Sanji has become even more beat up.*
Luffy: Sanji!
Pirate 4: Pulverize the rest of them!
Pirate 5: What he said!
Chef 1: Crap, if only he hadn’t fought that Pearl guy first!
Chef 3: Yeah, I don’t think he’ll survive another hit from those iron balls.
Sanji:… you hit like a girl anyway.
*Gin spins his tonfa.*
Sanji: He’s too strong for me…
Gin: Now die! Bye, Sanji!
*Gin tries to hit him, but Sanji quickly moves out of the way.*
Sanji: What was that, your pity?!
*Sanji kicks Gin down.*
Sanji: I’m not dead yet!
*But Sanji’s ribs crack and he collapses.*
Luffy: Oh, no!
Morbius: His ribs took too much blunt force!
Carne: He can’t take it! He’s gonna kill himself just trying to fight!
*Gin grabs Sanji by the throat.*
Sanji: Damn you, bastard.
*But Gin’s eyes weep with tears.*
Gin: I can’t… I can’t obey your order. This man saved my life. I can’t, Don Kreig! I won’t do it! I can’t do it! I’m sorry, Captain!
Krieg: What did you say?!
Gin: I won’t… do… what you want! He treated me with such respect, decency, and kindness! That’s why I can’t bring myself to kill him! I’ve always been loyal to you. Up till now, I’ve believed what we’ve done. I respect you and appreciate all that you have given me. Trusting me as your chef commander was the honor of my life. Until this moment, I’ve obeyed every single order you’ve given me without questioning it. I can’t live with myself if I kill this man. And I cannot break my oath. Please, I beg you. Let me disobey just this one order. Please! Don Krieg, can’t we just leave? They can keep the restaurant for themselves.
Krieg: You little son of a bitch! You think you can defy my orders and tell me what to do?! It’s pathetic. Morality. Sympathy. Weakness I never expected to see from you. You’re not my chef commander anymore! Pirates, step aside.
*Krieg aims his shield piece.*
Gin: No, not the gas!
Pirate 5: He’s going to use the MH5! Masks on!
Krieg: The only thing that matters in a battle is who ends up winning. Even if more have to die. Poison gas is just a means to an end. Victory is all that decides what’s right and what’s wrong. If you’re dead, no one’s gonna hear you complain anyway. When you don’t hesitate to do unspeakable and horrible things, that is true power.
*All of Kreig’s men put on gas masks.*
Sanji: He’s insane.
*Gin pulls out his.*
Krieg: Might as well throw that gas mask away! You’re no longer worthy of being a Krieg pirate! Die!
Morbius: We gotta run!
*But Luffy runs towards Krieg again on the mast.*
Luffy: I’m not gonna let that happen, you bastard!
Krieg: You’re wasting your time, chore boy!
*Krieg smashes one end of the mast, causing it to sink.*
Luffy: Aaaahhh!
*Krieg fires more spikes at Luffy, but he’s able to avoid them and get back on the deck again.*
Luffy: Gin, you don’t have to do anything that blow hard tells you to do! Because I’m going to kick his ass!
Morbius: Yeah, Luffy will kick his ass!
Gin: No, my captain cannot be defeated! Don Krieg is the strongest man alive. And I respect his punishment.
Sanji: Will you please snap out of it?! He is going to kill you!
Gin: I deserve it. Obeying my emotions meant betraying my captain. If I were in his position I would have done the same thing. And now, death is the only honor I have left.
*Gin tosses his mask into the water.*
Luffy: Don’t!
Morbius: It’s poison gas, man!
Sanji: Why?
Krieg: So you’ve remembered your place. But it’s much too late for that. Now you will both die together. MH5! Poison gas bomb!
*Krieg fires a cannonball loaded with the gas at the restaurant and puts on a gas mask of his own. All the chefs swim away.*
Patty: Get inside!
*Zeff, Patty and Carne get inside the restaurant and close the doors.*
Morbius: We’re all gonna die!
*Luffy stretches his arms and grabs 3 masks.*
Luffy: Sanji! Gin! Morbius! Catch!
*He tosses the masks to them.*
Morbius: Thanks man!
*Morbius puts his mask on.*
Luffy: Now for mine!
*But all the pirates are gone.*
Luffy: Where’d they go?!
Morbius: They must have dove underwater!
*The cannonball gets closer.*
Luffy: Don’t die! Don’t die! Don’t die! Don’t die! Don’t die! Don’t die! Don’t die!
*Suddenly, a gas mask lands next to Luffy.*
Krieg: This is power.
*The cannonball hits the Baratie, dispersing the MH5 gas. But Luffy was able to put on the mask and survive.*
Luffy: Phew, I’m alive. That mask appeared just in time.
Morbius: That was close.
Chef 2: Crazy bastard.
Chef 3: He tried to kill us all. He’s gotta be insane.
Chef 1: I can’t believe he used poison gas. He must be a demon.
*5 minute later.*
Chef 1: You think Sanji, chore boy and his friend made it?
Chef 2: I don’t know. But look, the gas is clearing up.
Sanji: Gin… let go… you can let go now!
*Luffy and Morbius take off their masks and see Gin holding a mask to Sanji’s face while being affected by the gas.*
Luffy: Hey, Gin, are you ok?
Morbius: He breathed the gas!
*Gin coughs up blood.*
Luffy: But didn’t I- wait, it was your mask. You gave it to me.
*Gin collapses.*
Sanji: Gin!
Krieg: Hahahahahaha! What a fool! You’re paying a plate food for your life. Oh well, maybe you’ll learn when you’re dead. Hahahahahaha!
Chef 1: That bastard. First he orders Gin to kill him and then he mocks the poor guy.
Chef 2: He respected that and he followed his order to the end.
Morbius: Just hang in there, Gin!
Gin: Don…
Sanji: It seems that Don Krieg wasn’t the right man to follow, wasn’t he?
Luffy: Krieg:
Krieg: Hahahahahaha! It figures you still feel sorry for that pathetic scum.
Sanji: Scum?!
Krieg: That’s right! Anyone who loses focus and betrays my ship is worthless to me! They’ll almost certainly do it again. Putting him out of his misery is an act of mercy to keep him from dishonoring himself in the future and endangering my crew.
Pirate 5: I never thought the captain would kill his chef commander!
Pirate 4: Gin’s been his right hand man for even longer than I’ve been part of the crew.
Pirate 5: That’s right. No one has shown more loyalty to Kreig over the years than Gin. How could he forget what Gin did for us after we escaped certain doom from the open sea and Fullbody’s marines were after us? It was a miracle we escaped.
Pirate 1: Yeah, he was willing to sacrifice himself for us by acting as a decoy. Without him, we wouldn’t have made it out of there. Gin’s laid down his life for Krieg a hundred times easy. I can’t believe the captain would kill him with such little care.
Morbius: This isn’t good. He needs medical attention immediately.
*Patty and Carne open the doors.*
Patty: That is just cruel.
Morbius: Do you guys have any medicine or other medical supplies?
Sanji: We do. Patty, get the kit!
Patty: But it’s for food poisoning! I don’t think it will work on gas, Sanji!
Sanji: I don’t care, we have to try!
Zeff: Put the mask on him. It will detoxify the gas in his lungs, then bring him upstairs and let him breathe. It’s the only chance we have to save him.
Sanji: Will it work?
Morbius: We should do what he says.
*Sanji puts the mask on Gin.*
Sanji: Patty, Carne, help me!
Patty: Alright already!
Carne: Ok, I’m coming!
Krieg: It’s no use. He’s going to die within the hour.
Luffy: Don’t you dare die, Gin. You can’t let someone like him win. Stick around! Now I’m mad! You’re gonna see what I’m going to do to him next!
Gin: You can’t defeat him…
Morbius: Try not to speak. Just breathe.
Sanji: Hang on a second, attacking him head on is exactly what he wants! He’s strongest that way!
Luffy: I’m not worried. Go ahead and give it your best shot!
*Luffy charges towards Krieg.*
