*Krieg throws more bombs.*
Krieg: Your funeral.
*The bombs explode, making the water splash in an attempt to blind Luffy. Krieg then uses his shield piece to fire more spikes at Luffy, which ends up hitting him. But Luffy keeps running to him.*
Krieg: Just try to hit me! Try hitting me through my porcupine cape!
*Krieg covers himself in his cape, which is revealed to be covered in spikes.*
Sanji: He’s got no place to hit!
Luffy: Gum gum bullet!
*Luffy stretches his arm back and then recoils it to punch Krieg while his cape is up, causing Krieg to collapse.*
Morbius: Damn!
Pirate 3: Don Krieg is down!
Chef 1: He punched him right through the spikes!
Pirate 4: I’ve never seen him get hit in any kind of fight.
Pirate 1: He punched him while his porcupine cape was up. I can’t believe it!
*Luffy removes the spikes from his arm and leg.*
Luffy: So this is my funeral? Or yours? You can’t kill me with little spikes! My funeral will take more than this! You’ll have to do better than that if you wanna beat me. Because I don’t think it’s time for me to die just yet!

*Sanji watches from afar.*
Sanji: I know one thing. He’s nuts.
Zeff: I’ve seen one or two like him before. Stubborn kids who’d rather die than turn away from a fight once it’s started.
Sanji: He’ll stay. That’s for sure.
Zeff: I’m glad he’s with us. Cause guys like that are hell of a fight. I don’t care if he wins or loses, I consider it an honor just to watch him.
Patty: Hey, man! Are you alright?! Just try to breathe! You need fresh air!
Carne: You want a pillow? Some water?
*Gin continues to breathe heavily while under the effects of the poison.*
Carne: This is bad.
Patty: You know, I make a great banana pudding. You want that?
Carne: You idiot! We don’t want him choking on one of your culinart disasters!
Patty: Better than trying one of your meat pies!
Carne: The reason I won’t feed him one of my meat pies is because after one bite, he’ll think he’d died and gone to heaven!
*Gin stops breathing.*
Patty and Carne: Aaaahhh! Don’t die! Don’t die! Don’t die! Don’t die! Don’t die!
Morbius: You idiots! He doesn’t need food! Come on, just breathe.
*Gin starts breathing again.*
Gin: Don Krieg…

Pirate 3: This isn’t good. We’re in trouble.
Pirate 5: No way, that’s just luck! Don Krieg is gonna get up and kick his ass any minute now!
Chef 2: I hope he’s dead.
*Krieg regains consciousness.*
Krieg: So boy, it’s not your funeral yet, is it? Too bad. Because one of us has got to go. And since I’m here, I’d really like to pay my respects!
*Krieg hits Luffy with his shield, but Luffy gets behind him and kicks Krieg down.*
Pirate 1: This can’t be happening! He’s taken another fall!
Pirate 4: What the hell are you, kid?!

Patty: The kid’s pretty good.
Carne: No kidding.
Morbius: Luffy’s got this guy beat.

Chef 1: Finish him off, chore boy!

Pirate 5: That kid’s fighting with Don Krieg as if he were the same strength.
Pirate 3: This can’t be real.
Pirate 4: He’s supposed to be invincible. But thanks to this kid’s his reputation will be shattered.
Krieg: Shut up, maggots! Never doubt me!
*Krieg puts both his shield pieces together and creates a spear with them. He then tries to hit Luffy, but he jumps out of the way. However, the source makes the piece of wood they’re standing on explode.*
Pirates: The mighty battle spear!
Pirate 1: That’s Don Krieg’s most powerful weapon!
Luffy: What is that? An exploding spear?
Krieg: Let’s see how long you’ll survive this now. My mighty battle spear. When this hits you, you won’t just be wounded! You’ll be blown straight into hell!
*Krieg hits the piece of debris again, causing Luffy to get sent flying. But he lands on another piece of debris before jr falls into the water.*
Luffy: That spear really sucks. It explodes every time he hits everything.
*Luffy’s legs start to feel weak.*
Luffy: What’s going on? My knees.

Sanji: He’s lost way too much blood. He can’t fight for much longer. This better end quickly.

Krieg: You look tired. Too bad, guess you should have saved more energy.
Luffy: Damn. With everything rocking, I can’t hit him with full force.
Pirate 3: I never in my life seen a more stunning weapon than the battle spear.
Pirate 5: Krieg’s the only one strong enough to handle it since the harder he strikes with it the bigger the explosion it causes. Anyone else would be destroyed.
*Krieg tries to hit Luffy with his spear, but he keeps dodging it.*
Pirate 5: That strength is what made Don Krieg the most fearsome man in the eastern sea.
*Luffy nearly falls off, but catches his balance. But Krieg swings his spear at him.*
Chef 1: Look out, chore boy!
*But Luffy hangs onto Krieg’s spear.*
Luffy: Phew. That was really close.
Krieg: Gggrrrrraaahh!!! You’re just like a little bug!
*Krieg slams his spear down, causing an explosion that sends Luffy flying into the sky. Krieg strikes Luffy with his spear while he punches the tip with both his fists. But the spear creates an explosion in Luffy’s face.*

Sanji: Chore boy!

*Luffy falls down, having taken the full force of the explosion. But he gets back up.*
Krieg: Heh, I’m not finished with you. If you hadn’t made me angry, I would have killed you more quickly. Hahahahahaha!

Sanji: Damn it, there’s no way that chore boy can take much more of this. That spear is way too powerful.
Zeff: No, you’re wrong. Even with a hundred more weapons, our chore boy can still bring him to his knees. Because he does not know fear.

*Krieg hits Luffy with his spear again and it explodes.*
Krieg: That was too easy.
*But Luffy gets back up again.*
Krieg: Now that’s impressive.

Zeff: Stand or fall, life or death, in a struggle for your life you cannot have the slightest bit of fear or you’ll be lost.
Sanji: What are you talking about?
Zeff: That kid out there. When he’s fighting, he’s not afraid of anything. Not even death.

*Krieg continues to strike Luffy with his spear.*

Zeff: Is it just instinct or all a plan? We’ll all know soon if he lives.
Sanji: What plan? Killing himself?
Morbius: That’s not it. Luffy’s gotta have some kind of strategy.

*Luffy gets back up after being hit again and again with Krieg’s spear.*
Krieg: You son of a bitch! Now do you see that I am invincible?!
*Krieg hits Luffy again.*

Zeff: There is no doubt that Krieg and his pirate crew are strong. But chore boy has something they’ll never have. Krieg may have more pirates under his command and anyone else before him. He may have terrible weapons that cause massive destruction to everything in his path. But he will never have that kid’s heart.

*The tip of Krieg’s spear breaks into pieces.*
Krieg: My battle spear! What the hell did you do?!
Luffy: I just punched it 5 times. It looks tired. Maybe it needs a rest. Now it’s my turn.
