Baratie part 3
*In the restrooms, Patissier Patty is talking to himself in the mirror.*
Patty: “The customer is king.” That’s our motto here. “Hello there, you crooks.” “Sorry about that. Come back again yesterday.” That should do it. Today is going to be a great day as usual. No doubt about. “The customer-“
*He sees beaten up Fullbody.*
Patty: Our customer! Not again, Sanji! That guy is a navy officer!
Sanji: You’re a terrible cook. What makes you think you can talk to me like that?
Patty: A crappy cook like you is calling me bad? Restaurants don’t exist without customers. They’re our life blood. So we don’t want to hurt them like you’re doing.
Sanji: But he deserved it. He didn’t treat the food or me with respect. And he insulted all the cooks. So I simply taught him a lesson.
*Sanji lets Fullbody go.*
Fullbody: You’re going to regret this. No restaurant should treat their customers like this. I’ll shut you down. Do you understand?! I’ll shut you down! You hear me?!
Sanji: Then I should just finish you off right now.
*A few chefs try to restrain Sanji.*
Chef Peepee: Damn it Sanji! Control yourself!
Sanji: Arrogant asshole! I hate people like you who think they’re big shots and think they can push people around!
*Suddenly, Luffy and Zeff fall from the ceiling.*
Luffy: I can breathe again.
Chef: Zeff, what’s going on? Are you ok?
Zeff: Damn it, now my ceiling’s busted! Another thing that’s going to have to get fixed because of you! This is all your fault!
Luffy: How is it my fault?! You attacked me!
Chef Peepee: Head chef, you’ve got to help us! Sanji has gone mad again!
Zeff: Sanji! Don’t tell me you went on another rampage in here again!
Sanji: Put a cork in it, old man.
Zeff: Now you’re telling me what to do. Just who do you think you are? Do you want to sink my restaurant at the bottom of the seat?!
*Zeff kicks Sanji in the head.*
Zeff: And you, get out of my restaurant!
*Zeff also kicks Fullbody in the head.*
Fullbody: What kind of restaurant is this? The boss is like a pirate. As if this were a pirate ship.
Patty: How can you deny our motto?! “The customer is king!”
Sanji: The only kingly customers are the ones who stomach the slop you call food.
Zeff: That’s it! If you two want to fight, keep it in the kitchen! Understand me?!
*A marine runs into the restaurant.*
Marine: Lieutenant Fullbody! We've got trouble!
Luffy: This restaurant is crazy.
Marine: Sir, it’s the pirate from krieg’s crew! He attacked us and escaped! We just wanted to question him but he beat up seven of our men!
Fullbody: That’s impossible! When we picked him up three days ago, he was on the verge of starving to death and we haven’t fed him anything!
*The customers are frightened.*
Marine: I’m sorry sir-
*The marine is suddenly shot in the back by the pirate that escaped.*
Patty: It seems we have a new customer, sir.
Zeff: He better mind his manners and not start any trouble here.
Luffy: A pirate.
*The pirate sits down at an empty table.*
Pirate: I don’t care what you have. Just bring me something to eat. This is a restaurant, right?
Patty: Hello and welcome you damn crook.
Pirate: I’m just going to say this one more time, bring me something to eat and fast.
Fullbody: That cook is going to get us killed.
Patty: Right away sir, but if I may ask how you’re paying for your meal?
*He holds a gun to Patty’s head.*
Pirate: Will a bullet do?
Patty: So you don’t have any money then.
*Patty slams him over the head.*
Zeff: That dumb ass Patty broke another chair.
Luffy: He’s strong.
Patty: Sorry sir, but our policy is to only serve paying customers.
*The customers cheer for him.*
Patty: I think I just heard your stomach.
Pirate: That was a fart. Just get me something to eat now.
*Patty starts to beat him up.*
Fullbody: I can’t take it anymore! All of these cooks are insane! I’ve got to get out of here!
*Fullboy exits the restaurant.*
Patty: And if you damn crooks need anything, just ask.
*Patty tosses him outside.*
Pirate: Damn it. If I wasn’t so weak from hunger, I’d be eating.
*But Sanji brings out a plate of food.*
Sanji: Eat up.
*The pirate starts eating it.*
Pirate: I never tasted anything so good! I truly thought I was going to die!
Sanji: Of course it is.
Luffy: Looks like I found my cook. You’re lucky he gave you some food. You weren’t looking so good there. Hey Mr Cook, why don’t you leave this boat and join my crew? I could use a cook like you on my ship.
Sanji: So you’re a pirate?
Luffy: Yup.
Sanji: Is that why you did a crazy thing like shooting a cannonball into the restaurant?
Luffy: That was an accident. It was self defense that turned into a stray shot.
Sanji: A stray shot? Well, you better not do anything stupid to this place. The owner used to be a cook on a famous pirate crew.
Luffy: So that old man is a pirate.
Sanji: This restaurant means a lot to him. It’s the only treasure he’ll need for the rest of his life. He’ll do anything to protect it. On top of that, all the cooks joined him out of respect and admiration are as hot headed as him. Which is fitting seeing how many pirates come and go out of this place.
Luffy: This is a wild restaurant.
Sanji: So true. This is how it is every day. It’s gotten so bad, the customers are only coming to watch fights between the cooks and cooks. Everyday there's been a new pirate and another rampage. It’s gotten so bad that all the waiters got scared and bailed. Even Chef Peepee nearly ran away.
Luffy: So that’s why the old man wanted me to work for him. So, you joining my crew?
Sanji: Sorry, but I can’t. There’s a reason I have to work here at the restaurant and I can’t walk away from it.
Luffy: No way! I don’t accept!
Sanji: You don’t accept?!
Luffy: It’s simple. I refuse your refusal. I need a cook and You're a good one. So it’s obvious that we should be friends.
Sanji: Just listen to what I’m saying! I can’t leave!
Luffy: What’s your reason for staying?
Sanji: I don’t have to tell you anything.
Luffy: But you just said to listen.
Sanji: All you need to know is that I refuse! Now take your ship and look for a cook somewhere else, straw hat!
Luffy: You listen here! No one makes fun of my hat unless they’re ready for a beating!
Pirate: I’m sorry to interrupt.
Luffy and Sanji: What?!
Pirate: My name is Gin, a member of Don Krieg’s pirate fleet. And you say you’re a pirate yourself. What is it that you seek?
Luffy: The one piece. Pretty soon, I’m going to sail around the world and find it.
Gin: Well, you can’t be out at sea for long. Your crew can’t be that big.
Luffy: Nope, he’s only the 6th member.
Sanji: I told you I’m not going!
Gin: You seem like a nice kid, so I’ll give you some advice. The sea is a place you shouldn’t underestimate. You’re still young, there’s no need to rush into anything. If you want to be a pirate, there are plenty of other places to explore.
Luffy: Then just tell what to avoid.
Gin: I can’t. I don’t know everything. That is why I fear going deep into the sea.
Sanji: You know for being one of Don Krieg’s, you’re a pretty wimpy pirate.
Luffy: Who’s Don Krieg?
